Queen Of Adis

"Dear gods... what have I done?"

When Alfred finally woke up from his stupor, he quickly went inside his mother's lair. His eyes grew wide when he saw Pier's body lying on the ground; thick, black goo was pooling underneath his body.

All of Pier's limbs were being restrained by the golden hair strands while his mouth was locked open by the demoness' sharp claws, purposely drawing blood on his cheeks. Green and red veins popped in his flesh while black vein-like lines were creeping out from his exposed neck, face and up to his blank eyes. Tears of black blood trickled down from his eyes. His entire massive frame was convulsing and yet the woman who was straddling on top of him did not show any sign of sympathy.

Alfred could see the faint streak of Pier's life force being f.o.r.c.i.b.l.y s.u.c.k.e.d out from his mouth by his mother.

"Mother, please stop!" His feet unknowingly sprinted towards them and pushed his mother off of him, hoping to interrupt her plan of murder.

He ignored the look of disbelief on his mother's face and cut the hair around Pier's body.

Pier, on the other hand, could no longer feel or see anything. Gone was the man with a jovial smile and a sunny disposition. All was left was an empty shell with weak limbs, dried skin, hollowed cheeks and lips in shades of purple. He could barely keep his eyes open. His ears were ringing and he felt cold.

...So painfully cold.

Anyone who could see him now would think that he's already dead, and perhaps he really was from the moment he stepped inside this hell hole.

In just a matter of minutes, his life and his dream were taken away from him. And he didn't even get a small chance to scream or cry in grief.

"Mother, what did you do? You're supposed to heal him not kill him!" Alfred wailed as he was desperately pumping Pier's c.h.e.s.t. He leaned his ear to his c.h.e.s.t to check his heartbeat.

"Don't be a fool!" she snapped at him. "We have been looking for a perfect vessel for our lord. Now that we have found one, you cannot expect me to just stand by and watch as you let him go."

"I did not bring him here to be a vessel! This is not what I wanted. He's innocent, mother. He's just a normal man who is struggling to make his dream come true."

The demoness scoffed, "So what if he's innocent? You and I are also innocent, but look at fate did to us!" She screamed on top of her lungs like a demented being.

When she grasped control of her emotions again, she circled around him as she seethed. "We have already taken too many innocent lives to even count. Dreams have no place in this world. Only hate and destruction can give rise to freedom and happiness."

"I don't care!" Alfred howled and his face contorted in rage. "Return him back to normal, right now!"

The demoness shrugged her shoulders and did not take her son's anger seriously. "It's too late for him now, and you know that."

*Haru couldn't take it anymore and whimpered to her husband. "*Adis, what's happening? Why can't she just return his life force back to his body or make him drink something that will replenish it?"

*Adis shook his head helplessly while his eyes were fixed on the almost dead man lying on the ground. "It is normal for a human to suck the life force of a demon through the act of Eros. After all, demons can regenerate their life force quickly. But it's a totally different story if the situation was reversed. Remember, eros can kill you if the act was done to a demon you a not fated with. And this is an example of that.

"Once a demon f.o.r.c.i.b.l.y s.u.c.k.e.d a human's life force, it's the end of the line for the victim. And even by some miracle, the stolen life force was returned to the human body, he won't be the same again. He'll just be in a vegetative state... for the rest of his life," he continued.

"I-is there really no way to help Pier?" *Haru's voice croaked while her tears were falling uncontrollably. "Why must he suffer like this? All he ever did was to help someone. Oh god, I can't look any further!"

The wisps in her arms felt her sadness and they rubbed their warm golden light on her tear-stained cheeks.

*Adis embraced her and whispered against her head, feeling worried that the stress may affect her pregnancy. "I know this is too much to take. If you want, we can just skip this and move forward."

She wiped her tears with the back of her hand and nodded in agreement. Since they don't have any power to change the past, it wouldn't make any sense to stay and endure to watch the inhumane act.

She was about to close her eyes and use her vision to skip time when her peripheral vision captured the demoness' profile when she brushed her blond hair away from her face.

*Haru's eyes dilated and a sharp gasp came out of her lips. "N-no way! L-Lilith?"

"No, she isn't." *Adis corrected her in a calm manner. "They just look the same but this one looks older. This demoness... must be from the Montcroix clan. But why is a noble blood be in this godforsaken place?"

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The loud banging sound startled everyone in the cavern. That's where the invisible couple realized the double doors made of stone up ahead. The doors were embellished with the same ritual circle they saw at the entrance and various magical runes and charms were surrounding it.

More noises came from the other side of the doors as though the creature inside was desperate to break free. Black smoke and more black goo seeped out from the doors' threshold and slowly enveloped Pier's body.

Everyone was stupified to even make a small sound. *Haru's plan to leave was also temporarily forgotten.

After what felt like an eternity, the once almost dead body suddenly sat up in a stiff manner. The goo was slipping off of the body, revealing a fully conscious Pier. His wounds were healed, his complexion and his eyes, as well as his positive bearing, were all back to normal as if nothing horrible happened to him just now.

His joints and bones cracked as he tilted his head left and right and stretched his muscular arms. When he spoke, everyone realized that he was no longer the same person.

"Ah, you finally able to find me a worthy vessel. Though it took you quite a while, eh." The new Pier's voice was both masculine and gruff, with a tinge of being amorous, capable of enticing anyone to submit to his every d.e.s.i.r.e.

The demoness eagerly crawled back on top of the bulky man's body. "A-are you *Erebos, the angel of the abyss? The supreme evil creature imprisoned in the deepest part of hell? My lord, i-is that really you?

Pier c.a.r.e.s.sed the woman's pale cheek and flashed her his wicked sneer. "Are you expecting someone else, my loyal bitch?"

But before she could respond, he placed his finger on her lips and motioned her to be quiet. Then, he slowly turned his head sideways and licked his lips lasciviously as he looked straight into*Haru's eyes.

"Oh, I never thought that we'll have a visitor on my awakening. And an exceptionally pleasant one at that."
