Queen Of Adis

While the two gentlemen were in the middle of their conversation, the two will-o'-wisps suddenly came out from *Adis' huge cloak. They floated around him while making baby noises. Then one of the wisps approached Elior as though it was closely evaluating his face.

The pope's eyes bulge out from its sockets when he saw the wisp's true form.

"Ahhh!"

*Adis' muscles tensed upon hearing the panic scream of Elior. His arms reflexively went to embrace the golden orb who scurried back in his arms from being frightened at the sudden loud noise.

"A-Adis... t-that little devil," Elior stammered as he pointed his finger on the wisp. "W-why does it look like a mini demon king? No, it definitely is a small version of you!"

"Oh," *Adis' eyes lit up in delight upon hearing the confirmation he longed for.

"Did you cheat on my dear child, Haru, and planted your demon seed to someone?!"

He scowled at the disgusting idea and glared at the older man, "I will only plant my seed and my d.i.c.k inside my wife's w.o.m.b." He shamelessly declared and gently looked back at the child in his arms. "So you really are my brave little warrior. I'm glad to hear that. Now, now, don't be scared, father is here." He coaxed the trembling wisp to calm down as he continuously c.a.r.e.s.sed it.

The pope's eyes brightened and looked really pleased now. "Eeeh? Are you mad because I startled your brother? Please don't be, grandfather didn't mean it." He raised his hands and flexed it to capture the golden light. "Adis, I like this little one very much. Give her to me. She looks so much like my sweet child, Haru."

Before he could lay his fingers on the other orb, *Adis threw a pillow on him with so much force that he fell back to the bed.

Then, the protective demon king motioned for the brazen wisp to come back in his hold.

"Ah, so you are a little princess?" *Adis' laughter thundered in the bas.e.m.e.nt while blinking his tears back. Damn, he wished his wife was with him at this wonderful moment. "You are so much like your mother, always eager to punch her enemy at the drop of a hat."

He c.a.r.e.s.sed the two orbs in his hands, brought them on his cheeks and kissed one after the other. "Oh, my little twins, father is so happy to meet you. But I wonder why are you here?"

The babies cooed and giggled as they were delighted with their father's warm welcome.

Elior tilted his head as he stood up and looked at the trio. "Why do you sound like it's the first time you are meeting them?"

"Well, the first time I heard their laughter, I felt like my heart just melted and I knew that they are part of me. However, I also wish for confirmation, hence, I brought them with me to meet you. I knew your eyes have their good use." *Adis explained as he cradled the twins in his hold.

He then muttered his new dilemma to himself. "But how would I know who is who when both of you look identical in your current form?"

He chuckled at his babies' prompt reaction. He gave each one a good pat as he talked to them softly. "My little devils are really obedient and knows how to please their father. So I guess the one with black flame is my brave prince and the red flame is my feisty princess, huh? Very well, it is much easier to introduce you to your mother now."

He looked at Elior in wonder, "Why can you see their true form but Haru can't? She is also gifted like you, isn't she?"

"Ah, that is because her vision is still adjusting. Her ability has just awakened, after all. I, on the other hand, have been using this gift for centuries. Seeing through these twin devils' disguise is easy for this old man."

He nodded and started to walk out of the bas.e.m.e.nt. Now that he was 100% sure that the wisps were his kids, it's time for his wife to know the truth.

"W-wait, I want to see Haru, too." Elior chased after them and inquired while on their way to the guest room. "So what is your plan with Erebos? How would you eliminate him?"

"I don't plan to eliminate him here, that's for sure. I am currently in a position where I can't do anything but watch. We are here to gather information, not to attack anyone. Since we already got half of what we need, it will be even better if I can meet the demon from the bloodhound. I plan to drag him back to the future and stop his madness." He replied and nonchalantly passed through the door of the guest room.

"Oh, okay-- Ahh!" The pope yelped when his head bumped on the door.

As he was treating the man in front as a real being and not an apparition, he expected *Adis to open the door and he would just follow from behind. However, the reality was totally the opposite of his expectation. He rubbed his forehead and glared at the door with a passion before opening it.

And there he saw a heartwarming scene of a happy family that would be forever etched in his heart.

"*Adis, you're back!" Haru exclaimed as he welcomed him with a smile.

Then she blinked when she saw the two wisps peeked over her husband's shoulders. As she prepared to play with them, her eyes grew wide when she noticed their new appearance.

"Oh, wow! Did you guys level up just now? Why do you have different colors on your flames?"

She heard *Adis' throaty laughter as he walked behind her and enthusiastically introduced the floating babies in front. "Haru, the one with black flame is a prince and the one with red flame is a princess. And they are twins."

"Really? That's nice. I wonder what are their names. I bet it's cute!" she squealed, still oblivious at her man's hint.

"Well, it depends on us. But Elior said that the prince looks exactly like me and the princess looks like you. And she took after your cheekiness, too."

*Haru creased her eyebrows at his roundabout answers. Then her body froze and her lips trembled when the realization finally sank in. She covered her mouth with her right hand and the other instinctively went to her belly.

Her amber eyes glistened with tears and a sob came out from her lips. "I-impossible. How can that be? Y-you mean, we are really having twins?"

*Adis whispered against her ears. "Aren't you the one who told me that you felt something when you saw them the first time? I felt it too when I heard their giggles. It sounds just like yours, such sweet melody to my ears."

"Oh, good heavens!" she breathed out while her tears were falling uncontrollably. She gazed at the two cute orbs in front and she could finally hear the baby sounds they were making in her head. She opened her arms wide and motioned them to give her a hug.

"Oh, *Adis, I really wish I can use my vision the way Elior can use his, that way I can see our little ones' true form." she sobbed as she hugged the warm soft balls tightly.

"No need to be in a hurry. We'll see them in due time." He enveloped her and their twins in his strong arms. "Right now, I feel like I'm on top of the world because I have you and our kids in my embrace."

"But I'm worried about their safety. Kids, why are you here?"

"They heard their father's earnest prayers to protect you, so they secretly followed the two of you here." A gentle-looking man with Auburn hair and thick glasses spoke and revealed himself to her. His dimples captured *Haru's attention as he genuinely smiled. "Hello, my dear child. We meet again."
