Queen Of Adis

Chapter 140 - The Demon King's wrath

Thick, blackish blood splattered on the wall when *Adis harshly gouged out the scrawny demon's right eyeball, ignoring the ear-shattering screams and thrashing of his victim.

"I need collateral in case you bail out on me," he shamelessly justified his action and quickly encased the amber orb in black ice. "Now, off you go. These rabid dogs are excited to eat-- ah, play with you."

"DAMN YOU! YOU ARE REALLY A MAD KING! WAAAAHH!" Malak went berserk as his drool and blood pooled beneath him while rolling on the ground in inexplicable pain. "Ahhh, my precious eye! I can't see anything. GIVE ME BACK MY EYE, MONSTER!"

"Monster?" *Adis playfully tilted his head and chuckled. "Funny you dare say that to me when your atrocities are as hideous as your f.u.c.k.i.n.g face."

His fake smile suddenly vanished and his expression became ferocious. He seethed, "Crawl while this king still allows it. This is your only chance to extend your filthy life for a brief moment. This king will definitely enjoy watching you while your body is being ripped to pieces by your own beloved puppets."

Blinded by desperation and pain, Malak no longer had the will to move. He didn't know what to do anymore. He just continuously wailed and cursed to his heart's content.

However, it all changed when *Adis roared that almost split his head open. "I am not interested to witness your pathetic act! Run now, you bloody bastard! ONE!"

He desperately shook his head while choking from his own saliva and tears. "NO! P-please... f-forgive me. Please let me live! I-I can't see anything anymore. Waahh... I d-don't want to die!"

"TWO!" *Adis' face was void with any emotion. He just watched the abomination panicked and felt his surroundings like a blind man. Wanting to add more fear to his prey's already muddled brain, he apathetically continued his counting, "THREE!"

"Waaah! S-somebody... H-HELP ME!" Malak shouted as he tripped for the nth times and ended up crawling for his damn life.

Before the fall of the Blood Hound clan in the original timeline, Malak suffered endless bullying from his own relatives and other creatures due to his scrawny built, ugly face and lame abilities. When he came back from the dead, all he wanted was to change the course of his life so no one would treat him poorly ever again.

And Erebos offered just that.

For the first time, he felt special. His own clan and the weaker demons had no choice but to bow before him. And despite the intermittent nightmares due to the cursed eyeball that he got, the power of changing time, acquiring endless wealth and creating havoc without any restraints eventually became addicting for him.

He kept on saying that Alfred and Pier were beyond salvation. But if truth be told, he was no better. In fact, he was even worse. At least those were just forced to be evil, unlike him, who was doing it out of whim.

He wanted to do more, damn it! He wanted to prove to everyone that he could bring his clan back to its original high status despite his inferior abilities. And more importantly, his demented mind craved to personally witness the downfall of the royal family.

"EIGHT!"

Malak's journey to memory lane was cut short as he was awakened by the wicked holler of the god of death himself. When he scurried forward and fell again, he no longer bothered to stand up.

He finally gave up on struggling. It was useless anyway. No one could get away from the Demon King's wrath.

"NINE!"

He was already soaking wet from the murky puddle he fell in that reek of piss and shit. And yet, it did not deter him to wail at the top of his lungs.

When he got tired, he suddenly felt his wilt pocket and fished out a tiny bottle with his shaking hands. He finally remembered the deadly poison in his possession. It could take even a demon's life in an instant. He originally planned to put it on Haru's drink after he was done with Elior, but sadly, it would end up inside his mouth instead.

Malak always knew that the Demon King enjoyed causing psychological damage to his enemies more than inflicting physical pain. The blood-curdling screams and cries that eventually lead to shattered minds and souls gave *Adis a sense of euphoria like no other. Hence, he was infamous for not giving an instant death to those who crossed him.

And he refused to suffer from this hellish torture any further!

"TEN!"

Before a drop of poison could even touch his eager tongue, a huge wind suddenly dashed toward him. And the next thing he knew, he was wriggling like a dying worm while shrieking in excruciating pain.

One of the Bandersnatches dashed and tore his right arm with its jagged sharp teeth, swallowing his flesh and taking the poison bottle inside its mouth.

And true to the product's statement, the beast's body instantly froze. Subsequently, black blood trickled from all of its orifices before it finally slumped down like a rubber toy, creating a small dent on the ground due to its massive weight.

"Nooooo!" Malak shrieked, but no one knew whether it's for his dead dog or because of his amputated arm.

"Too bad you ran out of time. But do you really have to kill your dog? Tsk, tsk!" Adis shook his head as he spoke in fluent sarcasm. He stopped a few meters from Malak and patted the dog who was ferociously snarling and eyeing the cursed being in front with contempt for killing its brother. He added, "Good thing, there is one more."

Desperation snapped any fear Malak knew in his lifetime. He only saw red while his body trembled in intense anger. He used all his remaining strength to revile the formidable king.

"F.U.C.K YOU, ADIS DELACROIX! Curse you and your entire family! You will definitely fall from your high throne one day and everything you have right now will be taken away from you, including your fated mate-- Aaahh!"

He wasn't able to continue his curse when the gigantic dog pounced at him. The crunching of bones and the squelching of flesh echoed eerily throughout the dark sewer as the beast's huge paws repeatedly stepped on his legs and torso like he was just an ordinary doormat. Afterward, the beast bit one of his already mutilated legs to lift him up and brutally thrashed him in the air until his left t.h.i.g.h came off and his entire body smashed on the wall.

"Enough of this game. You are such a lousy plaything." *Adis' voice was lethargic and filled with disdain. "I would love to bring you to Gehenna to be tortured for eternity, but I don't want to take any chances. Since you are supposed to be dead, then let's just leave it that way." He exclaimed and materialized his dark sword.

Without any unnecessary movement and effort, he swiftly spun his sword and split the beast's enormous body in half. Then, he looked down at the unmoving demon on the ground.

Anyone would grimace and vomit upon the sight of Malak; amputated limbs, long and deep gashes across his face, crushed bones, and ripped stomach with his internal organs scattered all over him. His filthy body was swimming in a pool of black blood. One would easily identify that whoever tortured him obviously enjoyed the inhuman act.

After the nonchalant display of his wicked game, *Adis eventually decided to end the worthless slaughter with his sword. As soon as he pierced the blade through Malak's forehead, his sword ate away any immortal essence from the wicked demon until his body disintegrated, leaving his skull rolling on the ground.

*Adis brandished his sword to shake off the filthy blood on the dark blade before he sent it back to his space ring. As he turned and walked back to his family, his murderous aura gradually faded together with the barrier he set up in some parts of the sewer earlier.

It's better to wrap things up quickly before Anastasia, who was waiting on the other side of the exit, started to wonder why Malak hadn't appeared yet.
