Queen Of Adis

Chapter 98 - I will do it

Present

"Hey, big brother, your breakfast is getting cold. I thought you will finally eat after days of stupidly starving yourself?" Zen hollered while craning his neck to check on his brother from the balcony.

Today, the whole Water Palace flipped when Adis suddenly announced that he wanted to eat. Zen and Aqua personally brought the food inside their big brother's bedchamber as they know that he wouldn't leave his wife even for just a second.

"I'll come out after I'm done here."

The two kings looked at each other when they heard Adis' faint voice from inside. They just sighed and shook their heads in defeat, speculating that the food on the table would once again be wasted because of their big brother.

Adis was currently with Frost as the mad doctor was extracting his blood for Haru's meal for the day. Although he hadn't eaten yet, his countenance looked much better than the past few days. He had taken a bath, shaved his facial hair and his eyes were glowing with determination.

After being scolded by Frost the other day, he realized that he couldn't afford to break down. He had to stay strong as his wife and child were relying on him for their sustenance. He also wanted to be with her the moment she would open her eyes again. Hence, he decided to take care of himself from now on. After all, he wouldn't want his wife to tease him of looking like an old man again.

"Frost, teach me how to do what you're doing. I want to learn how to take my own blood and inject it into her system." He commanded while pulling his sleeves down.

Frost stiffened upon hearing his words. He creased his brows and asked, "Your Majesty, I implore you to enlighten this humble servant of why such a request?"

"I just want to personally do everything for her. Even the tiniest of details, as long as she needs it, I want to be the person who will do it for her." He responded without taking his eyes off of her.

He smiled tenderly upon seeing a soft blush had finally tinted her fair, smooth cheeks. Due to a lack of proper diet, her body had tremendously lost weight as well. Fortunately, their little devil was really a warrior and also fighting to survive just like his parents.

"It's not like I am going anywhere," Frost breathed out but conceded, nonetheless. "But I understand that this is your way of extending your help to Her Majesty. Very well, I shall teach you the proper way of blood transfusion after you have taken your breakfast."

However, his two younger brothers couldn't wait anymore and stepped back inside the bedchamber. Aquarius was holding a plate full of different kinds of bread while Zen was holding a slice of loaf in his mouth.

"Brother, why don't we eat together with sister-in-law here, hm?" Aquarius suggested as it seemed that his big brother didn't have a plan to stand up anytime soon.

Adis frowned at their behavior. "Why are you two being so impatient? Go back to the balcony. You're too noisy. You'll disturb my wife's sleep."

Zen looked baffled. "Huh? Aren't we suppose to wake her up, already?" He took a healthy bite of his bread and yelled out with his mouth still full. "Hey, wakey-wakey, you lazy head! Your husband here has become a royal pain in the a.s.s. You better wake up now or he'll turn crazy!"

"Shut up, you!" Adis stood up and narrowed his eyes at his stupid younger brother. "Fang, come here! Bring this brat to Gehenna and make him clean the entire dungeon!"

"Eh? No!" Zen held the remaining loaf back to his mouth and firmly hugged his brother's legs. "No, I don't want to clean that dirty hell hole. If you do that I will complain to sister-in-law everyday."

Frost clicked his tongue at the childish behavior of the Kings. Even though it wasn't as fun as it was before, this kind of positive atmosphere was a welcome vibe to everyone.

Like a fish out of the pond, his breath seemed to stuck in his throat and his lips trembled as he just stared at her arm in daze. Then, he slowly looked up, from the queen's arm to her c.h.e.s.t, neck, pale lips and her... eyes.

He inadvertently dropped the syringe, causing a faint shattering sound when it touched the ground.

The room instantly fell silent when everyone shifted their attention to Frost.

Zen would like to chastise the mad doctor for wasting his big brother's blood but the bread in his mouth soon dropped on the floor when he caught a glimpse of the lady on the bed.

Then, a crashing sound of the plate echoed throughout the chamber as Aquarius seemed to have seen the same apparition.

Adis felt his limbs weakened and before he knew it, his knees touched the ground with a loud thud. His eyes glistened in both pain and longing as his tears quickly fell from his eyes. With great difficulty, he crawled towards the bed and fumbled to sit beside the woman he loved so desperately.

He leaned down to see her face closely, then took one of her hands and placed it on his c.h.e.s.t, praying that whatever he's seeing right now was not a dream.

Scarlet demon orbs met Amber orbs. And the once pale and motionless lips had finally curved up into a lovely grin, melting his frosted heart once again.

"Hey, old man, I miss you."
