Ja Sun's world was instantly dyed with red and blue. Originally, the water of the well was perfectly divided into two extremes but it was water nonetheless. Disrupting into Yin Yang Well would also disrupt the clearly distinct energy present within the pool. This meant that instead of the ice and fire energy coming from two distinct sides, it was like a chaotic whirlpool of energy that refused to mix at all that impacted him from every side and the only reason why he wasn't burnt was because of the 'totem' on his chest.

Ja Sun actively used his spirit energy to concentrate the two opposing energies in a single spot and used it to protect himself. But it was painful. His skin was boiled and only because of the constant cold chilling his bones Ja Sun avoided blisters.

This kind of pain even made him feel a little unnerved for a moment. The pain of losing his arm and experiencing the heat of an explosion would pass quickly and the remnant effects are easy to tolerate, relatively speaking.

But this was completely different. Ja Sun hadn't expected to experience this much in such a brief period of time after killing Ground Devil but anyway, he began to swim deeper. The pond wasn't too deep in the first place and it was the concentration of energy that made it harder for Ja Sun to inspect the pool.

The longer he stays here, the harder it will be to get out later because, in fear of damaging the Sigh of Immortal, Ja Sun did not bring it alongside him and now had the finite Spirit Energy of a Spirit King.

But swimming with one arm was easier said than done. Still, his first spirit ring disguised as a purple one appeared, and the ends of his three limbs were encased in silver flowing light, remarkably increasing the force of his pedals as he reached the deeper point of the well.

The constant attack of fire and ice elements almost made him unconscious. It wasn't a mental effect but a physical one. His body was slowly reaching the threshold of its limit. His blood wouldn't even flow out but it began boiling. Only now did the effect of a better physique emerged.

After a few seconds of swimming, he already saw it. Right in the eye of the bed of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well was a beautiful flower in complete bloom. Its petals were not blue or red. Neither were they a mix of the two colors that could have signified the mixture of ice and fire but instead, the petals were black and white and what Ja Sun felt from them over his chest, the Yin-Yang Gathering Totem, made him confirm his suspicions. Between the bloom of flower was a ripe apple. One side white and one side black. It looked juicy, too.

Ja Sun always had a love for fruits that had an audible 'crunch' and this looked like it wouldn't disappoint him at all. His right forearm already wrapped by the Vajra Gauntlets that was unaffected by the water by too much, Ja Sun reached out and plucked the fruit. His knowledge on immortal tomes didn't have any information on this fruit so it wasn't known how to harvest it and from what he had felt, this was an immortal fruit while the flower underneath was the Spirit Beast but given that it hadn't hurt him till now, Ja Sun wasn't going to act like an ass and harvest it, too.

It could give out such a fruit once again in time, after all. And feeling the sense of 'relief' from the plant spirit beast that was surely of an imaginable level but seemingly stupidly low combat prowess, Ja Sun felt that in time, this plant might just be useful to Ah Yin and it would keep them at an equal level. He got tha fruit and later, Ah Yin could get the spirit ring. They had already agreed to share benefits from this region amongst themselves aside from a few special herbs useful to the group.

But a strange thing happened that made Ja Sun almost cough up the boiling blood collected in his mouth that had already ruined his tongue.

He wanted the eat the apple. Each bite would have brought him a great sense of achievement because of all the pain he suffered but the moment he plucked the firm apple out, it turned into white and black colored viscous liquid unable to be mix with the blue and red colored water of the pond and entered his system through his burnt flesh.

Everything right now was a risk and Ja Sun knew it before entering it. Even his trait warmed him sufficiently because the difficulty of rank A is still something to look forward to. So Ja Sun didn't hold any thoughts of shock. Given that he knew nothing, he would only feel that everything happening around him is the norm and move on and that he did. Without waiting, he readied to swim up when a gentle and quite 'motherly' voice entered his... mind.

His mental energy was jolted in shock and the owner of the voice also let out a grunt, unable to imagine that Ja Sun's mental energy was already at a level disastrous to a 100000-year-old spirit beast.

"Human, stay and temper yourself— Guh."

The skull-sized flower embedded in the bed of the pool with multiple black and white petals swayed violently before the water around it helped it regain its calm.

Ja Sun didn't believe in the words of a plant. After all, Ah Yin did kill him once. Plants are ruthless over-all. He still swam up when his chest suddenly caved in.

'What?'

Blood finally gushed out of Ja Sun's chest but instead of indescribable pain that should have entered his nervous system, it was only a strength hidden alongside the pain that made him stop.

Looking back at the swaying plant, he spread out his mental energy to communicate but his body shuddered once again and he lost all control over his spirit energy and bodily functions.

White and Black light emerged from the point of his caved-in chest and within that glow, in the center, was a fierce but small speck of brown light that seemed unwilling to be overtaken by the two additional forces.

Ja Sun, on the other hand, had his consciousness forcibly awakened with the help of the Life-Death Spirit Cauldron: his Spirit Core of mental energy, as the pure life-force of the Life Gold within the cauldron, too, began rotating at an astonishing speed that began filling his body with vitality.

---

Ja Sun had his consciousness receded into his world of consciousness without any control of his body or spirit energy. The 'lack' of the body finally gave him time to realize his mistake.

He has always been confident in his actions no matter how reckless because he no longer feared death and it gave him an edge over his opponents every time. Even killing Ground Devil did not make him feel overconfident or arrogant. It was hard for him to change anymore unless he went through experiences that he had never once faced. The most recent one was dying itself.

And 'losing' his body now once again with his mind intact was yet another experience he had never faced.

His mistake right now, that he felt was, being impatient. This apple was clearly a grand fortune and if only he had been more patient to know about it, he might have been able to gain more advantage than what he will at this moment.

Right now, 'he' was surrounded by threads of white, black, and brown in a form of cocoon but his body was completely disconnected and he felt like he had no body. The water of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well continuously struck the cocoon, tempering his body within as streams of white, black, and brown would once again mix with his body.

After recovering his skin from the explosion back then, it had gotten fair and soft but right now, his injuries healed at a shocking pace and his entire body was being restructured from within. His organs grew more resistant, their qualities increasing. His blood grew more potent. His skin darkened considerably but it grew tougher than it had ever been and searing streams of pure yang energy filled his eyes and subsequently affected the golden glow of the World of Consciousness since it began raising the quality of his eyes, more specifically, the set of Fiery Golden Pupils.

His eyes were already at the second stage of the pupil technique, the Golden Realm, and now with the outstanding yang force, they were pushed to the third realm of the technique.

Fiery.

Even with his eyelids closed, golden light began to spill out from the corner of his eyes as the world of consciousness didn't seem to change much. However, the effects of the technique were felt by Ja Sun completely.

Any mental attack will be blocked and countered.

The ability to forcefully increase the quality of his mental attack was now by three complete realms.

But before he could feel euphoric, he 'saw' his body trembling.

Ever since he had connected with the Vajra Gauntlets, he had gained the quality of war god's essence in the way that his body would share every benefit equally. But the Immortal Fruit had shown benefits of equal quality in a way that the effects of the yang energy within his eyes wasn't dispersed to his body. In this way, it showed that the benefits were not lower than the time he gained a Blood Artifact and while the War God's Essence only restructured his foundation that would bring him benefits in a long term, this immortal fruit seemed to have short-term and long-term benefits. His pupil technique increasing to the third and final realm was already a testament to this fact.

And the molten light of white and black infusing with his body finally brought another qualitative change.

The two streams of energy wrapped around the left stump out of his shoulder.

'You've... gotta be kidding me.'

If Ja Sun could have moved his body, his eyes would have popped out in shock.

The black light turned into a bony structure with brown threads acting like veins and muscles wrapping around it and finally, the white glow encased his 'left' arm before losing its pure glow and turning metal-like. His vajra gauntlets appeared on both of his arms. The right one was clearly a little different after he had absorbed the 80000-year-old Hell Black Tiger Right Arm Bone because the golden plates within the crystal-like gauntlet were darkened and looked like dark tiger stripes.

But right now, both his gauntlets looked sturdier. A by-product of the constant enhancement of his body that subsequently increased the quality of his blood artifact.

But things had yet to come to a stop. His chest was still caved in despite all his injuries, even permanent ones 'healing' in a way. The cocoon around him finally dispersed and all the energy rushed into his body.

Ja Sun knew what was happening at this point and he sighed deeply.

He had knowledge of Spirit Cores.

In the path of cultivation, through fortuitous encounters, a Spirit Master can form three spirit cores.

A Spirit Core is nothing but a metaphysical condensation of a particular attribute or energy. Life Gold and the existence of 'death' attribute in his mental energy allowed him to form the Life-Death Spirit Cauldron which was his mental energy core.

With this core, his mental energy was almost at the level of an actual Titled Douluo in quality but in quantity, he had already exceeded a weaker Titled Douluo.

Only one core can exist in a specific space at a time.

There was already a mental energy core in his world of consciousness so there cannot be another core in that particular location.

This 'apple' was a fortuitous encounter similar to Life Gold.

After all, to form a spirit core, one must possess outstanding quality and quantity of energy.

The formation of a spirit core is a matter of great importance and if possible, Ja Sun would have wanted to do this in a calm location as he did for his first spirit core but what made him truly exasperated was the fact that to achieve maximum benefit, he planned to have his second spirit core during his breakthrough as a Titled Douluo which would have propelled his cultivation enough due to the momentum of the breakthrough and resonance achieved.

Not now.

In fact, he had planned to use the quality of the war god hidden inside his body itself that was now provoked due to the pure Yin-Yang Force.

This was the true nature of the Yin Yang Well.

Because of some reason, the Ice and Fire aspect of the pool overpowered the pure Yin-Yang force but the formation of this Blessed Land was probably due to the opposing force of ice and fire that caused such a situation in the first place. Right now, the pure Yin-Yang Force gathered within the Immortal Fruit completely burst into his body and collected around his heart. Streams of energy baptized his body only.

His spirit energy wasn't the least bit affected.

The war god's essence continuously collected over his heart and affected by this swirl of energy, even the mental spirit core was affected.

Life and Death.

Yin and Yang.

Both these forces are opposite in nature but it has been proven many times in history that opposing forces more often than not— attract.

They just need a fortunate moment is all.

Losing the protection of the cocoon meant nothing to Ja Sun as the water of the pond did not affect him at all as his body slowly reached the deepest part of the pond beside the Spirit Beast.

It stayed silent after having its mental world almost attacked by Ja Sun. Cautious.

Meanwhile, Ja Sun's heart grew stronger. Each pump was forceful and the purified blood brought traces of energy every time that filled his body with outstanding vitality and stamina.

Ja Sun would need time to ascertain the quality of his body but one thing was for certain. While he felt that his mental energy would be the first aspect of the body to reach the realm of Titled Douluo, somehow, the quality of his body won the race.

Within his heart was a tiny dharma made of bronze material but it didn't seem to affect his heart at all. This bronze dharma looked like Ja Sun, his body in a meditative position but he could sense the explosive strength hidden inside of it. Its eyes meanwhile were purely black and white. The right one was black and the left one was white.

His second core.

His second spirit core that formed resonance with the Life-Death Spirit Cauldron!

His 'mind' now became one with his body and he came to understand almost all the changes of his physique and rightly so, Ja Sun named his second core the same as his physique— Yin-Yang War Physique.

Affected by the war god's potential, his 'core' wasn't just the bronze dharma within his heart but also the blood that constantly flowed in his body!

His body had been completely transformed now. He was bulkier than before. Bigger and taller. Each part of his body filled with explosive strength but he wasn't delusional to face spirit abilities with his body. There was an essential difference, after all.

For his third spirit soul, he could now easily try and absorb a 100000-year-old spirit soul but for that, he needed to reach rank 70 first. After all, he still had another spirit ring yet to be condensed from the Nightmare's Fantasy but it wouldn't be a problem now.

A Spirit Master's body has always acted like a container and now, for Ja Sun, this container was frighteningly wide and deep. In essence, he wouldn't reach his limit any time soon.

But if possible, Ja Sun still wouldn't have asked for this advantage so early.

A body acts as a container so its quality must not be increased too radically and should be kept at an appropriate distance with the level of one's spirit energy.

Now, it will only be harder for Ja Sun to fill up this container for breakthrough every time.

But in the end, with his advantages, this inconvenience wasn't a major but could have still been avoided if Ja Sun had only been a little more patient.

His eyes finally opened and the golden color of his pupils surrounded by green irises was deep and intimidating. Glancing at the flower, Ja Sun looked at himself and found himself completely unaffected by what should have been the by-product of the Yin-Yang force— the ice and fire pond.

"Who are you?"

Ja Sun finally contacted once again as the 'gentle' entity responded.

"I was born with this Blessed Land and have lived for hundreds and thousands of years... and I just request you to not harvest me."

Ja Sun didn't have such thoughts anyway but he still continued, "Why shouldn't I?"

"Because I'm the only entity barely keeping a hold of the raging souls of the Fire and Water Dragon Kings suppressed by the pure Yin-Yang Force cultivated through me."

Ja Sun blinked.

He had just gone through a restructuring of the body so he didn't have much air in his lungs.

He quickly swam up.

*Splash*

"You're out!" Ah Yin heaved a sigh of relief but her expression froze when she saw Ja Sun's hair drenched and stuck behind.

"In a minute," Ja Sun called out and took a deep breath once again before diving into the pool, leaving Ah Yin stunned.

---

"It's like this. I'm the product of nature. A mutation of two natural forces— Yin-Yang Petals.

This Blessed Land was created out of the corpses of two god beasts— Fire Dragon King and the Water Dragon King. And as an act of natural suppression, I was birthed in here. But while Yin-Yang forces should be of greater quality than Ice and Fire normally, these elements are from the gods themselves and are barely held back by my existence and so, I have stayed here and because of the circumstances, I can only keep the souls of these two beasts suppressed."

The Yin-Yang Petals sighed deeply as Ja Sun continued with his inquiry.

"Relief?" It mumbled, "I suppose I am. The Yin-Yang Core had grown too much within me so I had to form another one externally but it had begun suppressing me. After all, the Yin-Yang force I derive comes directly from the Ice and Fire energy from the long absorbed corpses of the two gods by the nature. But even when their bodies are gone, their elements and soul have not.

I needed an outlet but I also did not want you to suffer unnecessarily for something I had created. Ordinarily, the Yin-Yang forces within my external core would have ravaged your body but the ice and fire elements of these two gods helped you unknowingly."

Ja Sun nodded in understanding and continued.

"What are gods, you ask?" it sighed, "I don't know. I just know that the corpses of gods were used to form this blessed land and myself. And if possible, I want to stay alive."

Ja Sun smiled and questioned, "But what further benefits do I get by keeping you alive? Destroying you, after all, will give me a Spirit bone."

"I..."

The flower was at a loss. It had high intelligence but no experience whatsoever or else it would have used its age as a disguise to threaten Ja Sun despite holding not attacking strength whatsoever.

Seeing this gullible Spirit Beast, Ja Sun shook his head internally.

"What if I help you for a price? In time, I can get you out of this location... and probably deal with the souls of the dragon kings. Gods or not, it's just a matter of perspective and strength. In return, you will do me a favor, too."

"What favor?"

It inquired hastily.

"It's... more like a condition of finally moving from this place."

"But, I can't. You wouldn't know this as a human, but spirit beasts—"

"I know. You've lost your chance to be a human, but I can still help you."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Do you promise it? You cannot lie. I helped you form a very rare spirit core. As a human, you wouldn't know what a spirit core is but—"

"I know that, too," Ja Sun rolled his eyes.

"Then say you promise to help me."

His lips twitched. As it turns out, he didn't even have to manipulate this spirit beast.

"I will help you... promise."

"Petal Promise?"

"... petal promise..."

"For sure?"

"Oh my god, enough!" Ja Sun scowled as the spirit beast squeaked and grew silent.

Nodding, Ja Sun swam up once again, leaving the confines of what should be a very 'medium' bath now with a healthy expression on his face as he saw Ah Yin looking at him weirdly.
