Vajan didn't even bother waiting for long.

He took his team and snuck along with them into the Hub. It didn't take much effort as a lot of people are walking in and out. But it did take some time for him to find a secluded spot that wasn't being monitored properly.

After he caught a hold of that, he proceeded with the obvious plan.

He set up the pillars of the device on four sides of a machine and then wore the metallic glove. He activated the device without further ado, while his team members surrounded him creating a concealment barrier around, so the flashes won't attract any attention.

Soon enough, he realized that the flashes are something he doesn't need to be concerned at all.

Because there are bigger problems related to that machine.

The wireframe did get created and he was indeed able to manipulate it, however he couldn't get any clear picture of the internal structure of the machine. Because most of the inscriptions are ingrained into the metal while they were forged and machined.

That is also one of the reasons, Gaja said that there is some work that needs to be done.

And the machine was not just made to handle a scan of that's scale. So, while Vajan who doesn't know the heads and tails of the design is still marveling if he really got what he thought he was getting, the device used for scanning, started heating up.

Not just normal temperature heating up.

Instead it is overloading. Its circuits were fired.

*BOOM*

Then it exploded.

Not the scanner. The machine that was scanned. So, what happened is that the negation part of the process happened without any hitch and then the scanning process also happened. But the scanning process involves enveloping every miniscule surface area of the machine with energy.

And it leaves a trace of it behind.

Which is a foreign energy. This foreign energy still stays there when the negation was cancelled and the core of the machine is back to work. The moment that happened, the foreign energy triggers the traps set behind.

That's the reason for explosion of the machine.

In fact, the reason why Gaja just muttered to himself in disappointment is because most of the circuits, including the core were completely fired in the bird puppet he scanned.

The scan was only partially successful and the object was destroyed.

Of course, it would have been a lot better if he communicated that properly with his students. But who would know that a mole that was sold out needed that information to stop this massive blunder.

The moment the explosion happened in the hub, the whole of the hub started shaking.

Virat, who was in the middle of dismantling the machine at hand, suddenly felt a shock on his hands. This small shock was similar to an electric shock, instead of electric currents, it was the currents of spiritual energy that were used.

The shock set him away from the machine.

Before he could make sense of what is happening, the whole of the hub started glowing. All the machines powered up. But instead of the regular vibrant lights, they showed something else.

Glaring and Ominous blood red lights.

A mechanical voice followed those red lights.

"Breach of machinery detected. A machine in the simulation section has triggered its self-destruction mechanism.

Scanning the hub for any other anomalies."

The voice paused for a bit and the next moment, a flash of red light went past everyone scanning everything in the room.

"Anomalies detected. An arcade machine being dismantled by a person named Virat from Viswa Karma Academy.

The self-destruction of another machine, triggered by Vajan from Viswa Karma Academy. Thirty five more people, roaming in the hub without any authorization.

Determined that their presence is hostile.

Initiating lockdown.

Initiating safety measures.

Absolute defense activated.

People inside the hub, it is better for you to identify yourself and leave the hub within the next fifteen seconds, before the absolute defense is completely implemented."

The mechanical voice sounded awfully alive at that moment.

Virat couldn't even touch a single part of the machine that he dismantled about half. That is not even the worst part of the situation.

He felt an extreme pressure dawn on him. It forced him to stick to the ground, like a pancake on a hot pan.

He coudlnt even move himself.

Not just him for some reason, even the elders and instructors in the hub felt the pressure. Based on the cultivation, the higher ones level is the lesser pressure they felt, but they definitely felt it nonetheless.

They felt like they were being locked down by someone as if they were targetted as a recipient for a lethal attack.

This made them cautious and created a urge to leave this place.

"I would like to leave this place." One of the students couldn't hold it anymore and said it out loud.

Spatial energy enveloped him and sent him out of the hub building. Following that example, more and more kids started doing the same. Some instructors and elders followed suit. Virat who was the most reluctant of all was unable to take it anymore and also gave up.

The hub transported all of them away.

Vajan and his team also appeared at the gate and they sensed dozens of hostile gazes focused on them. Gaja also came running. He was holding a student by his hair as he ran. The same student that betrayed him and sold the machine to Vajan.

"You sick bastard. Do you even know what you have done? That device was incomplete. It required a lot of modifications and tune up. Why the fuck would you use it in the hub directly?

It is one thing that you stole the machine, but to think you don't even have the common sense to actually test it before using it, just how the fuck did you become an elder."

He screamed on top of his lungs and didn't hold back.

He didnt care to save the face for this thief. For him more than the theft, the stupidity of the whole thing was much more annoying. To think that his own creation was used to cause this situation..

He wanted to kill Vajan right there and then.

*DING* *DING* *DING*

His rant was then interrupted by the chiming of the wrist bands of everyone in that area. Ever since they learned of purpose of the bird puppets and the wrist bands, they are way too wary of it. They stopped using these bands to communicate.

But they are also a bit reluctant to take it off

Its functions are immaculate and they still don't know where they stand with the Hub at the moment. What if they take down the hub? What if they can make it their own? They can still use these bird puppets then.

To be short, they just are too greedy to completely let those go.

And right now, they are seeing an automatically popped up screen with a list on it. The screen was translucent green in color and the contents of the list are a bit darker shade of green. However, in the list, there are a few rows that are red colored and they are all on the top of it.

And on top of the list, above the contents, there was a message

"Since the people of this region has tried to breach the hub without following the rules dictated by the hub, ten percent of the total information gathered by the hub has been shared to everyone in this region.

Each entity in the list indicates a video file. All these video files constitute the ten percent knowledge we gained in the past few months.

The red entities are also part of that knowledge, however they indicate the information regarding the conspiracies targeted at you.

If you behave in the same way once again and attack the hub, much more harsher measures will be taken.

Thank you."

It is a threat. A direct and straightforward threat.

But more than the threat, what made them feel cold are the contents. They all clicked on the red colored entities. The videos opened and they saw people discussing various plots. Everyone became silent.

Someone saw his own best friend having sex with his wife as they both plotted to kill him.

Someone else saw a teacher being greedy over the achievements of his own student and plotting to steal them.

Someone else saw their own brother plotting to backstab him just to get a bigger share of inheritance.

All the plots that were exposed, made everyone's hearts turn cold. Their most trusted people have been trying to destroy them and they didnt even know that.

Now everyone became distrustful in everyone else's eyes.

Virat looked at the videos that are targeting him. He has quite a sizeable red list. However, that didnt bother him as much, instead he got scared of what the hub could do.

Information is one of the most expensive things in his opinion, because Virat knew how it can be used.

But now only he realized that he doesn't know jackshit about making the most out of it.x
