I was so happy, and yet miserable at the same time. Then, Toudou-kun suddenly turns towards me and asks me a question. That question made me feel as if my throats were crushed and tears started welling up.

「Do you want me to help you? 」

――Those kind words resounded in my heart as I frantically closed my eyes to prevent the tears bursting out.

Then I, similar to that time, nodded timidly.

「CHE, WHO’S THIS KID, BEAT HIM UP! 」

Only a single word could express the scene before me ―― masterpiece. I wiped my fallen tears and made sure my gaze was on Toudou-kun as he insta-killed the three men. His figure didn’t change at all from that night, still shining with dazzling light.

When Toudou-kun finished up, I raised my face, wanting to speak to him.

But Toudou-kun was already leaving the place. It’s as if he was trying to run away from me.

No! At this rate, it’ll end the same way it did that night! Driven by such feelings, I grabbed his hand.

Don’t go! I tried to say those words, but just couldn’t bring myself to express the boiling emotions from the deepest part of my heart.

As a result, I brought trouble to Toudou-kun and was only saved by Midori some time later.

After that, we went into an inn and booked a room to have a talk. During the talk, I repeated many times that I was not scared of Toudou-kun.

However, seeing Toudou-kun’s gentle expression he listened to me, I couldn’t really feel at ease at his unnatural smile.

After we were done, we then headed towards the station building. Though we encountered flocks of monsters along the way, thanks to Toudou-kun―― no, I mean Sou-kun, Takahashi-kun and Midori, we reached the station building rather quickly.

Along the way, when Takahashi-kun invited Sou-kun to join our guild, Sou-kun promptly ended that conversation making a slightly awkward face. It seems there’s something still troubling him though I don’t know what the origin of his anxiety is.

As we walk, I thought of such things. Suddenly, Midori started calling my name. Then, I myself became aware about the springy feeling on my brea―― EH?

「N-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!」

「HEBUUUU!? 」

W-W-W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? MMMMMMM, MY BREAST IS JUST BEING!!!

I had a short conversation after that, in which I told Sou-kun about my sin.

Though I stuttered throughout all of it, Sou-kun gradually managed to recall the events of that time with my explanations. After I made sure he remembered, I started apologizing profusely.

Sou-kun then brushed it off and told me it was okay.

Why he isn’t blaming me at all? Am I being forgiven? Why are you so kind? Even when I did such cruel things to you!

At that time, I recalled the words that Takahashi-kun told me some time ago.

『Speaking of Sou, he might look scary at first but in fact he is truly a kind person. That’s the truth!』

This is definitely foul play…

Though I was in the middle of a conversation with Sou-kun, the tears came out without any intention of stopping. Despite me knowing it was rude to face Sou-kun with such a behavior, this is the only time I can confess my feelings! I will not turn away from this!

「L-Let me express my apologies f-for being so cruel to you t-that time! A-A-Also THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME!」

These words were for my own satisfaction. Thought I’m a coward for saying those words so late, at least I said what I had always wanted to say. I finally did it!
