Rebirth: A Woman With Frozen Heart

Chapter 33 - The Punishment! (2)

"Now what should we give some punishment, Grandfather?"

"Good! What do you have in mind, Little Yue?" Grandpa Wu asked, agreed to her suggestion.

"First, we need to gather the students to assembly hall, the principal needs to announce the truth and warn the students not to spread unfounded rumors." Ming Yue explained, "About the punishment, I already made a bet with a certain person that I will cripple her half to death if the rumor is proven to be wrong." Ming Yue smiled mischievously.

"As for Principal Gong.." Ming Yue trailed her words as she glanced at the man who looked like in his late forties. "Grandfather can ask the school board to replace him."

In truth, Ming Yue preferred Vice Principal Zhuge to be the principal. Even though the man was younger than Principal Gong and needed more experience but Zhuge Yu wasn't a narrow minded person like Principal Gong. Ming Yue remembered there were times, Zhuge Yu helped her but she was too gloomy and depressing to notice his kindness.

"That's--"

"Good!" Grandpa Wu agreed right away. He planned to do that from the start anyway. Having a person who called his lovely granddaughter 'Cursed Orphan' as Principal, it would only make him worried.

Principal Gong knew that he was doomed. He curled his hands into fists, couldn't accept the reality. Why? Why?! WHY?!

Ming Yue didn't pay much attention to Principal Gong but seeing how he just stood there, didn't move from his glorious spot, Ming Yue could only let out a soft sigh.

"Vice principal Zhuge, if you want to do the honor?" Ming Yue asked to the mid thirties looking man.

Understanding of what Ming Yue asked him to do, Zhuge Yu glanced at Principal Gong briefly before nodding. "I will gather the students right away." He said and left the office after nodding to Grandpa Wu.

"Let us go, Grandfather." Ming Yue said, walking toward Grandpa Wu and held his arm, acting spoiled. This was probably the most courageous thing Ming Yue had done so far but seeing how Grandpa Wu was happy with her spoiled behavior, Ming Yue was glad.

As they walked toward the door, a voice could be heard and it came from Principal Gong. "..You are just a damn ORPHAN!" he shouted in anger, "Why does an orphan like you got adopted by Wu family?! Are you playing pitiful?! Creating a drama for them to pity you?!"

Principal Gong laughed as if he had lost his sanity, "You little vixen! If you don't act pitifully, the Wu family won't adopt you! you are a NOBODY! Even your own parents don't love you. They abandoned you, didn't they? Serves you right for being a 'Cursed Child'! HAHAHAAHAHAH!!"

Grandpa Wu was about to rage but Ming Yue tugged his arm and shook her head when he turned his gaze to meet hers. "It's not my fault to be born with the ability to see things that people can't see." Ming Yue said, staring at him as if he was a pitiful person.

"Can anyone choose whether they are orphan or not? The fault lies not with me but to my parents. They denied me for having this ability which is granted by the heaven. You can call me cursed child or whatever but there are people who can accept me for who I am." Ming Yue said and at the end of her sentence, she turned her gaze to meet Grandpa Wu. A sweet, gentle smile plastered on her face.

"Such as Wu Family and I, Ming Yue, am grateful to be a member of their family."

Grandpa Wu's eyes filled with warmth, the old man was about to be chocked by his own feelings as he patted the hands that was hugging his arm, gently. "It's the Wu family honor to have you as a member of our family, Little Yue." He said, trying to calm himself down.

This little girl.. finally had accepted them in her heart. That alone was enough for Grandpa Wu to be happy. Principal was left alone in his office, losing the ability to refute however the black flame of hatred burned brightly in his heart. Only one person's name existed in the center of that flame.

Ming Yue..

The students gathered in assembly hall and Vice Principal Zhuge announced the truth. Hearing the news about Ming Yue was adopted by the wealthiest family in D city, all students became noisy. Qing Xu Lin couldn't believe her ears, she didn't want to accept such good thing happened to Ming Yue. However when Grandpa Wu stood at the podium, in front of all the students he explained that in two days Ming Yue would become Wu Ming Yue. Qing Xu Lin's face became pale instantly, her mind began to panic.

No No No No NOO!! It couldn't happen! Ming Yue couldn't become the famous and the wealthiest Wu family! That cursed s.l.u.t should be beneath her!

Qin Xu Lin had to stop her parents signing the doc.u.ments! Yet, little did Qing Xu Lin know that by this time, the Wu Family lawyers had come to Qing family house and had Gu Sui Rong signed the required doc.u.ments with a little bit of 'Coercion'.

If Qing Xu Lin was panicking because of adoption issue, it was different for Li Xiao Yin. Xiao Yin remembered the bet she had with Ming Yue and her pace became so pale that it similar to ghosts. She couldn't believe that the old man who was inside that car was and Elder from Wu family. Why?! Why all good things happened to that s.l.u.t?! She was just an abandoned orphan! Xiao Yin felt that heaven was really unfair!

"Principal Gong will be replaced as punishment but my granddaughter said she had one person to punish." Grandpa Wu ended his explanation with this sentence. "There is a student here who spread unfounded rumors about my granddaughter, I want to know that person."

All eyes started to turn and landed on Xiao Yin who was still in a daze, drowning in her own bitter contemplation. Xiao Yin snapped when she felt the crowd of students parted like sea waves, creating path for Ming Yue to walk. Her body trembled in fear as she saw the ruthless smile on Ming Yue's face and cruelty in her black orbs.

"N-No.." Xiao Yin took a step back as she remembered that Ming Yue would cripple her half to death if the rumor was proven to be wrong. "Don't come closer!"

Ming Yue chuckled as she kept stepping forward, "How can I cripple you if I don't come closer?" she asked in a tone filled with a amus.e.m.e.nt and finally stopped in front of Xiao Yin.

"You can't do that! The school won't allow you--"

*BAM*

Ming Yue hit Xiao Yin's c.h.e.s.t with her palm that was filled with a tiny bit of her internal energy. Xiao Yin wasn't able to react or even screamed in pain as she flew slightly backwards, landed on the floor hard and spurted blood. Ming Yue didn't even show any emotion as she stepped forward and stared down on her. Xiao Yin couldn't refute even if she wanted to curse her to death, her body felt like there was something running rampant in her body. Of course that 'something' was Ming Yue internal energy, it would keep torturing Xiao Yin for the rest of her life, messing up with her meridians.

"I told you I am going to cripple you half to death. This alone is enough to cripple you half to death." Ming Yue said and turned around to face the students who stared at her in horror. Yet she didn't know there were students who gave her 'different' meaning of stare.

"This will be a reminder to all of you. DON'T try to mess with me or I won't be merciful just like this girl." Ming Yue gave her warning.

Grandpa Wu who was watching, nodded in agreement when he saw Ming Yue's punishment. As a member of Wu family, Grandpa Wu wanted Ming Yue to be firm, never bowed down to anyone. Xiao Yin was carried to the hospital after Vice Principal Zhuge dismissed the students back to their classes. Grandpa Wu decided to have a talk with the school boards and made them to have emergency meeting right away. Ming Yue couldn't help but had a feeling that there would be more event today.

And her feeling turned out to be true.. once the school ended that day...
