Rebirth: A Woman With Frozen Heart

"I heard Xiao Yin's mother was looking for you."

Mo Liu was standing in front of Ming Yue, his arms were on the wall, caging the little girl as they stood at the back yard of school building. Now how could things become like this? of course because Ming Yue was dragged away by Mo Liu when she was on her way to training field where her three friends were waiting for her. Ming Yue was permitted by Principal Zhuge to use the training field for two hours only after the school ended. There she could train Ming Ran, Yu Wang and Mu Chen.

However on her way, Mo Liu grabbed her hand and dragged her to the back of the school building where student rarely went to ask her that question. Ming Yue who was standing while being caged by Mo Liu, let out a playful smile.

"Are you worried that I got in trouble, Brother Mo?" She asked, there was mirth in her eyes.

"Just answer me, little moon." Mo Liu couldn't help but shook his head inwardly due to this girl's playfulness.

Ming Yue curled her lips slightly and made a tsk sound before answering, "Yes but I have dealt with it for now."

"For now?" Mo Liu frowned, "Did something happen? If she troubles you, I will deal with it."

Hearing his words, Ming Yue chuckled softly "Oh? and how will you deal with her~?" She tilted her head slightly, acting cutely.

Tickled by her playfulness, Mo Liu leaned his face closer, his breath was near Ming Yue's face as he went close to her ear, "If I say 'In anyway you want to', will you believe me, little moon?" He whispered playfully to her ear.

"You.. what are you doing here?" Ming Yue asked, looking dumbfounded.

"I came to pick you up, met your friends and they told me that they start practicing today and plan to meet you at training field but when they arrived, you were no where to be found and I told them to wait while I searched for you and I found you here." Zhi Qiang explained it briefly, like the typical army man. His hand was still in Mo Liu's wrist, gripping it tightly with stronger force than before.

In truth, the moment Zhi Qiang saw Mo Liu was caging Ming Yue on the wall, his heart was burned with flame of jealousy. His mind turned blank and before he knew it, Zhi Qiang already pulled the man away from Ming Yue. What made it worse, Ming Yue didn't seem to hate it! Zhi Qiang saw how they flirted with each other and his heart wasn't willing!

"Release me." Mo Liu said coldly but Zhi Qiang didn't budge one bit. Both men stared at each other, sparks could be seen between them and Ming Yue decided to interfere.

"Zhi Qiang, release him." Only when Ming Yue told him to release Mo Liu, Zhi Qiang finally took his hand off Mo Liu's wrist. Yet his eyes never left Mo Liu's.

Ming Yue somehow felt guilty as she was caught teasing Mo Liu but soon she was annoyed to feel that way. It was only teasing and she was single, she could do whatever she wanted. So why should she feel guilty over it?

Pushing the guilt away, Ming Yue walked closer to Mo Liu and touched his hand. She paid attention to his wrist, "Are you okay, Brother Mo?" She asked in concern.

'Brother Mo?' Zhi Qiang's eyes narrowed as he watched Ming Yue paid attention to Mo Liu's wrist.

'Don't touch him..'

'Don't care for him..'

'You are mine..'

'Forever mine..'

These thoughts were echoing in his mind, it was his voice but at the same time, it wasn't. Zhi Qiang had to maintain his poker face, staring at the two with calm expression even though his emotions were running havoc inside.

Mo Liu gave Ming Yue a tender smile, "Mm, I am okay."

"Don't forget to put ointment so it won't get bruised." Ming Yue warned the older male, still looking so concern.

Mo Liu chuckled and pinched her cheek with his free hand, "I am not that delicate. It's a war trophy." He said, the words had different meaning but Ming Yue was oblivious to it.

'She is not mine at the moment..'

'She is a free woman..'

Zhi Qiang kept telling himself those words over and over to keep the sanity in his mind. However he soon recalled the time when Ming Yue trying to support his love for Ying Yue.

Inside the cafe in Q City..

"What are you doing here?" Zhi Qiang asked Ming Yue who came to the cafe while panting. His tone was harsh and cold but Ming Yue didn't show any reaction to his tone. She gave him a bouquet of Lilies and took his rose bouquet.

"I found out that Ying Yue... likes Lilies instead of rose, so.." Ming Yue spoke while trying to calm her breath, "I change it for you.." she finally said with a warm smile.

"If you think that by doing this will make me like you, then you are delusional. I won't like you, ever!" Zhi Qiang said, his tone even colder than before.

Ming Yue's lips trembled as she tried so hard to keep her warm smile and her tears from falling out. As she wanted to answer the man, a sweet and soft voice could be heard, along with the appearance of a beautiful and gentle woman whose face similar to Ming Yue

"Did you wait long?" Ying Yue smiled gently and sweetly at Zhi Qiang before turning her smile to Ming Yue, "Sister, you are here too. Come, have a sit."

Ming Yue shook her head and was about to answer when Zhi Qiang cold voice cut it.

"Right, of course." Ming Yue said in a hurry and put on a brave face to give her warm smile, "I am going now." then she left in a hurry.

However what Ming Yue didn't know, Zhi Qiang noticed the tears that fell as she left in fast pace and he felt really uncomfortable knowing that Ming Yue was crying.

From the first time, Zhi Qiang felt uncomfortable when he saw Ming Yue. At that time, he didn't realize that he fell for her when he saved her that day. He kept telling himself that his discomfort was because he didn't like Ming Yue so he kept her at arms length, saying harsh things and being cruel to her.

'Was this how you felt back then, Yue'er?'

'Supporting me from the sideline, seeing me with another woman..'

'You kept a brave face even though I was so cruel to you back then..'

'I didn't know it was this painful..'

'It's SO painful that I didn't know how you could endure this heartache..'

"Ah, I was just.. thinking of something.." Zhi Qiang came up with the best excuse he got.

Ming Yue snorted and walked away, "You must be hungry, come! We will train first then we can eat." She said, her tone was indifferent.

"Yes, My Lady." Zhi Qiang answered and followed Ming Yue without glancing at Mo Liu. His eyes stared at the little girl's back in front of him. Watching how her long, silky black hair danced along with each steps she took.

'..Ming Yue..'

'..In the past.. even in this life time..'

'..You are a strong woman..'

And to be able to win the heart of this strong woman which had frozen, first he needed to accept the retribution he had caused in past life..
