Rebirth of Abium

The bracelet had only two trinkets attached out of three spaces, and it gave off some mystical aura around it.

''There he is. Go! Follow after him.'' That black cat said with a rough old man's voice, making Yozis roll his eyes. After Yozis found out Baxtor was already dead and someone used his identity to sneak into this mission, he became horrified!

At first, he thought of informing this news to his teacher but soon dismissed that idea. He was well aware of his teacher Rilos's temperament. If he reported there was a fake Baxtor who accompanied them the whole time, then without a doubt, he would also face the consequence.

Moreover, he already knew Rilos and other necromancers had no plan on keeping him at all. As he was pondering over how to get out of this damn place, he met this strange black cat who was talking in an old man's voice. For the last six months, he stayed with this black cat and got to know this cat name was Night.

Yozis knew it was just talking nonsense, but he kept quiet. As for why he was keeping this black cat around him, it gave him an offer. It was to capture that fake Baxtor. If he succeeded in capturing that fake Baxtor, Night promised it could help him get out of this Fex dimension.

''Can I kill him? I want to avenge Baxtor.'' Yozis said with a hateful tone. His eyes locked on to the direction where Abium landed before and were filled with thirst for revenge. Yozis and this cat named Night were searching for that fake Baxtor, but for the last six months, they couldn't found a clue about him. He also watched his teacher Rilos and other necromancers leaving this Fex dimension using some strange crystal, but he didn't see that Fake Baxtor with them. But now he saw that fake Baxtor appeared a few kilometers away from him, he became more excited.

''You can't. But you can torture him all you want. My boss needs his help; otherwise, why would I want to come to this damn place.'' Night said with an annoying tone, but it started grinning inside.

Without wasting any time, both moved while hiding their different motives.

Without wasting any time, he started making a small campfire. Then, Abium took out a metal pan, bowl, and a few other ingredients like pepper, salt, chili, ginger, garlic, cooking oil, etc. from his spatial ring. After arranging everything, he chopped that skinned rabbit into small pieces then started cleaning using freshwater from the lake. Then, he marinated the meat with those ingredients and waited for half an hour.

Meanwhile, black-robed Yozis and the sneaky black cat were hiding a few hundred meters away from where he was cooking and was watching patiently.

''He has some skill in cooking.'' Commented Night as it was an old veteran chef while licking its black paw.

''We will make him cook all delicious food once we capture him.'' Yozis also said while sniffing the strong ginger garlic aroma, which already started spreading to the surroundings. Soon, both saw Abium finished frying the meat using sunflower oil and started eating. Both gulped down their saliva while resisting the temptation.

Meanwhile, Abium started planning while monitoring the two enemies using the spiritual scan. He already noticed Yozis, but he didn't show it on his face. He didn't have any worry about confronting that necromancer. But he felt something was off about the other person who was tagging along with Yozis.

'Azolla, do you have any clue?' Abium started to get uneasy as he noticed they were still not taking any action.

'No idea, kid. They are carefully maintaining a 500-meter distance from us. Be careful of that other person.' Azolla said with some deliberation.

After that, both fell into silence. Abium suddenly thought of that Fate divinity holder and became anxious inside. But quickly, he shook that thought because Abium knew that the Fate divinity holder needs his help. Moreover, he didn't have any direct conflict with him.

'Maybe it was that sneaky goblin?' Abium suddenly thought of that sneaky goblin Grold and squinted his eyes.

'Possible! He is the only enemy whom I must be wary of.' Abium nodded his head and thought of how to get out of this situation. Honestly, he doesn't want to confront that goblin Grold now.

'If I have a good sword, I don't have to worry about killing that goblin.' Furrowing his eyebrows, Abium starting to ponder deeply.

As he finished eating the last piece of fried-meat, he sneakily took out two scrolls, and high tier magic stones then hide it inside his shirt.

After that, he stood up lazily, and then he bends his waist a bit while placing his right hand on his chest and gave a respectful bow towards the direction where Yozis and that black cat were hiding!

Then, he turned around and quickly started running towards the other direction where dense trees were located.

''DAMN IT! Chase after him.'' A loud voice came from that black cat; meanwhile, Yozis was already sprinted towards his direction.

But soon, Yozis saw Abium disappeared into the forest and got anxious. As he was about to get near to the trees, Night stopped him.

''Something is wrong!'' Night's tail stood up as it perceived the impending danger, and it sputtered. The next moment, their surrounding broke like a mirror and revealed Abium, who now stood two meters away from them while grinning. He leisurely opened a pitch-black scroll and tore it skilfully while tossing a high ranked magic stone into the runic circle, which appeared out of nowhere.

A few seconds ago, Abium didn't enter the forest; instead, he used Mirage spell to fool their eyes.

Once the high tier magic stone touched that runic circle, a fierce wind elemental energy started to appear and formed into an invisible blade-like structure within a second.

Abium controlled that spell using his spiritual power and aimed that attack towards the black cat instead of Yozis. Abium knew the unknown enemy was more dangerous than known ones.

With a cold smile on his face, he released it!

It was a second-tier spell, Wind blade!

That blade directly moved towards that black cat, which sat on Yozis's shoulder at an unpredictable speed while cutting through the wind like a bullet.

At the same time, that black cat opened its mouth and spoke a single word.

''Switch!''

The next instant, Abium felt a mysterious force pulled his body, and the same moment, he found himself standing blankly at the area where Yozis and that black cat stood before.

''Open your wing!'' For the first time, Azolla shouted inside his mind. Without any hesitation, Abium cast his 'War Angel's wings' spell and covered his body with both of crimson wings.

He could feel strong force clashed against his wings and felt immeasurable pain through the crimson wings. The next instant, Abium sensed a strong force was starting to push his body backward. Abium stumbled back continuously and finally managed to block that wind blade spell.

A relief sigh came out of his mouth as he slowly opened his crimson wings while hatefully glaring at the Yozis and the Black cat, who was now standing at the place where he stood before. A moment ago, if he hadn't cast his 'War Angel's wings' spell on time, his head would be decapitated by now.

Although his 'War Angel's wings' spell managed to block that Wind blade spell completely, there was no happiness inside his heard. Instead, his heart was filled with worry and anxiety.

'What did that cat do?' Abium asked while wiping the cold sweats on his forehead.

'No idea, kid. That power didn't come from that cat. I think it came from one of those trinkets. It must be a divine spell.' Azolla said solemnly. Only then, Abium shifted his gaze towards that a single trinket embedded in the silver necklace and understood it must have some divine power hidden in it.

'There is one trinket remain in the necklace, kid. Don't try to use any attack spell on the cat.' Azolla once again warned him.

Meanwhile, Yozis and Night were also got shocked by that strange crimson wings and became hesitant.

''Those two crimson wings are not the first-tier spell. Haa! This battle is going to be a pain in the ass.'' Night said rudely.

''What was that spell you used earlier? I never heard of such a powerful spell before.'' Yozis still hadn't woken up from the shock and asked Night with a blank look on his face.

''It's a Fate divine spell. But now I can able to use that spell only one more time.'' Night said regretfully.

As Yozis was about to ask what were the other abilities Night could use now, he saw the Blonde-haired Elf began to move.

Once Abium snapped out from the daze, he instantly tapped his Miracle star and cast Misfortune Ability on both of them. Following that, he conjured a fireball and tossed it towards Yozis and then starting to prepare for another battle.

As Yozis saw the fireball, he sneered inside and then used an undead skeleton to block it. Then, he turned his head towards Abium with a strange smile on his face and snapped his finger. As Abium saw that smile, he felt something was amiss and frowned deeply. Then, the next instant, he got the answer. He noticed a dense dark smoke spread towards all directions, eroding the nearby grasses and trees like some poison.

It was a First-tier necromancy spell, Death Corrosion!

Without any delay, Abium backed away then flapped his both wings to push those smoke away from him. But still, he saw the corrosion effect was not slowing down.

'I have to finish off that necromancer; otherwise, I will be in deep shit.' Abium thought to himself and instantly closed his distance between him. Then he used the blink spell twice while appearing behind Yozis and then blocked the 'death corrosion' effect using his crimson wings.

Following that, Abium shifted his attention towards that black cat and smirked. The next instant, Black cat Night felt something was invading its mind, and soon it couldn't think properly.

It was Abium's First-tier spell, Mind Freeze!

But before the Mind-Freeze spell could completely invade its mind, that black cat managed to split out a single word.

''Switch!''

But this time, it became deeply shocked!

Because Black Cat noticed that it was standing on the ground and at the same time, it felt an immeasurable weight descended on its back.

It got panicked as it saw Yozis was standing on its body!

Without any delay, it cut off its transformation spell effect, and then its body started to grow.

Meanwhile, Yozis felt a foreign force invading his mind, and soon his thinking ability fell into disarray.

A big opportunity appeared in front of Abium!

His lips started to curl upward as he appeared behind Yozis using blink spell. The next instant, he touched Yozis's head and conjured a fireball spell without hesitation.

A massive fireball engulfed Yozis's head in a blink and killed him on the spot by burning his head completely.

Abium didn't even glance at Yozis's falling headless body; instead, he directly stomped his right leg on the figure's neck. Soon, a green-skinned humanoid figure around 140cm appeared under Abium's feet. It had pointy green ears and ugly yellow stained teeth.

''It's been a while, Mister Grold.'' Abium gave an evil smile as Grold opened his eyes in puzzlement.
