Rebirth of Abium

132 Chapter 132: Time God, Udnir.

'Time Temple? Azolla, should we get out of this dimension?' Abium asked in a scared tone. He didn't even dare to delay any longer as he heard this temple was Udnir's and took out that Returner's ring from his spatial ring.

'I don't want to lose the mysterious fountain and the Time divinity! Did that 'Time god' manipulated me to enter into this dimension?' A strange thought crossed his mind, which made his whole body to stiffen up.

'Possible!' Abium grew warier and took a few steps back from the silver bell.

'Kid, I don't think Udnir is in this temple. Moreover, if Udnir is hiding in this temple, you would have already lost that Time Divinity by now.' Azolla said solemnly. Hearing that, Abium froze for a moment, and soon his amber eyes widened!

'Yes.'

He breathed out a sigh of relief and nodded his head.

'But you have to be careful. Time God Udnir may appear in the form of memory fragment and might cause you some trouble.' Azolla paused for a moment and continued,

'Don't ever think deeply about that mysterious fountain once you walked into this temple. Gods are strange beings who could read one's thoughts easily.'

Hearing Azolla's words, Abium's complexion grew pale.

'Scary! Can a god able to enter my mind?' Abium asked while glancing at the temple cautiously.

'It's called Sea of consciousness. If you think deeply about something when talking to a god, that god can be easily able to bypass your spiritual barrier and entered into your Sea of consciousness. Although you will invincible inside your Sea of consciousness, a god's memory fragment can deal some damage to it, so be careful.' Azolla's words made him more cautious.

After thinking for a moment, Abium walked in, while glancing around those strange vines vigilantly at the entrance. Then after pondering for a moment, he made up his mind and stepped into the Time temple.

He entered the hallway and then saw five statues of angels were standing on his right side. All of those statues were gripping different types of weapons and looked more majestic. He even saw five strange rings in each of their hands and got curious. After giving those statues a wary look, he shifted his gaze towards the left side and noticed two human statues stood there arrogantly while looking at those angels with disgust and malice.

He silently closed his eyes while taking a deep breath and stood there like a statue for a few seconds.

After some time, he opened his eyes and frowned.

'My seer's intuition is warning me there is no danger inside. But something feels off.' He clenched his fist tighter and pushed that metal door with both hands.

But that door didn't budge an inch and stood there like a mountain. Seeing that, Abium became dumbfounded.

The next moment, he felt some mystic power came from that mysterious fountain through his soul link and directly entered inside that door!

For the first time, Abium became alarmed!

With a wary look, he stared at the metal door, which now was shining brightly with wide eyes, and got worried.

It began to emit dazzling white light for two seconds, and then that metal door began to crumble into powders!

For a moment, Abium stood there with a shocked face and soon shifted his eyes towards the statue placed at the center of the sanctum sanctorum. It was a crystal statue of a human.

The statue looked like a 40-year-old man with long wavy hair and appeared to be around the same height as Abium. He also saw a pentagon-shaped necklace and confirmed this was the statue of Time God Udnir.

Abium soon saw a magic circle drawn in front of that temple and frowned.

'Ritual magic circle? For what purpose?' With a puzzled face, Abium walked in, and a second later, he saw that the whole ritual circle began to shine brightly.

'F*ck! It's a trap.' A grim expression appeared on his face, and noticed his surroundings began to change. The next instant, he found himself surrounded by darkness. But he didn't lose his cool and thought of facing reality. Before he could think further, an intense pressure which was enough to crush a mountain suddenly descended on his soul form.

'How did you manage to link your soul into the Core of Itera, Mortal? Open your soul to me.' A majestic voice filled with dominance entered into his soul. Abium's complexion grew deadly pale as he heard those words and grew more anxious inside.

'Is that voice talking about-? No, I won't think anything further about that. But why is that voice asking me instead of talking by force?' Doubt appeared in his mind.

'Wait! Something is not right.' Abium furrowed his brows and noticed a strange small golden light appeared in that darkness.

'What's that?' Hiding his fear, Abium walked ahead in his soul form. Although that mystical pressure still assaulting his soul, his soul wasn't affected a bit due to the strange link between his soul and that place he didn't want to think about. Abium also frequently used his spiritual power to block anything from entering his mind.

'Mortal, you are seeking death. Give up the link to the Core of Itera; I will spare your life.' Once again, Abium heard that strange voice and grew worried. He noticed a fit of deep anger was hidden in that tone, which caused his soul form to tremble.

Abium gritted his teeth and spoke.

"Udnir, you know I'm no match against you. But you didn't take my divinity by force and simply using those arrogant words to crush my will. Do you take me as a fool, puny god?"

Abium's furious words echoed inside that dark world.

"Hahaha, interesting! Mortal, tell me your name. You earned my respect." That same majestic voice boomed inside the darkness.

Hearing Udnir's words, Abium's lips twitched. Abium coldly snorted inside and responded with a sarcastic tone.

"O Revered Lord of the Time, why don't you use your divine power and check it for yourself?"

A silence appeared in that darkness. Meanwhile, Abium hastened his footsteps towards the golden light.

"Mortal, if you give me that link to Core of Itera, I will help you become a legendary mage." After a long silence, once again, that voice spoke. But this time, Abium didn't even answer and noticed that the golden light was actually a palace build of gold.

Without minding that voice's tempting words, he quickly arrived in front of the golden palace and opened the gate. The next instant, he found himself standing in front of a throne hall and got startled.

"You have guts, mortal. You give me no choice then." Once that voice finished its words, a foggy humanoid figure rose from the golden throne and directly moved into his soul form.

The next instant, Abium felt an immeasurable pain assaulted his mind and went death pale. He noticed his soul was invaded by an external force and seemed to be taking over his soul.

Abium got anxious but didn't lose his calm. He relaxed his mind and didn't even try to think anything while completely blocking his mind using spirit power.

Following that, he began to count numbers in his mind.

"You are a smart kid. But not smart enough to fool me. Now, show me the link to the Core of Itera." A cold voice echoed inside his mind like an emperor's order.

"…24, 25, 26, 27, ..." Abium didn't even dare to put his attention on Udnir's words and continued to count.

At the same time, Abium felt some resistance towards the foreign force and entered into a strange world filled with memories in the form of clouds. His soul form floated in a foggy world filled with countless small and big clouds. He also noticed a foreign force was prying those clouds one by one and grew serious.

'This must be my Sea of Consciousness.' Abium's eyes widened as he made a guess and noticed he could control all those clouds with his thoughts.

At the same moment, he sensed Azolla's soul was hidden deep in this world and nodded his head in understanding.

Following that, he looked up towards seven dim lights with different colors were hanging up in the pale green sky like stars and got awed by that scene.

'Two red stars, Two invisible black stars, two crystalline blue stars, and one white star. No doubt about it. They are my spell models.' Abium instantly understood and smiled.

With a smile on his face, he thought of a short sword, and the next instant, a real silver short sword materialized in his hand.

Turning his face into an icy one, he threw that sword directly towards the foreign power, which was prying his Sea of consciousness. That silver sword flew at high speed towards an area filled with dense clouds and a strange black humanoid cloud.

The second later, a layer of glass appeared in front of that foreign force and completely blocked that sword.

Abium was surprised a little and soon noticed an illusionary figure of a 40-year-old man appeared from that foreign black cloud. He had wavy blonde hair, a round face, and pure silver eyes. He wore a red armor and was holding a long sword in his hand. Abium also noticed a strange pentagram shaped necklace and realized he was against a formidable opponent now!

'Time god Udnir! No, I think this figure must be Time god's memory fragment.' Abium nodded in enlightenment and instantly sprinted towards him while creating another short sword from his memory.

The next instant, he arrived in front of Udnir and directly thrust his short silver sword. At the same moment, a green aura appeared around that sword and clashed against Udnir's sword.

"You chose the wrong opponent, mortal." Meanwhile, Udnir spoke coldly and directly broke his sword with a single slash.

Abium's face turned to pale as he understood the difference in strength and became restless.

'Is this the end? No, I won't give up easily. I don't think a mere memory fragment could kill me in my Sea of consciousness.' A cold glint appeared in his eyes, and once again, he conjured a sword in his hand.

At the same time, he saw Udnir also thrust his long sword at Abium's heart.

Abium smiled as Udnir's sword pierced through his chest and soon turned into a cloud of smoke.

A moment later, another cloud began to twist into a humanoid shape and formed into a blonde-haired elf.

For the first time, a surprise expression appeared on Udnir's face. It seemed he was surprised by Abium's knowledge about the Sea of consciousness.

'So, he doesn't know anything about Azolla, huh.' An understanding smile appeared on Abium's face.

"Are you a memory fragment of Time God Udnir?" Abium's cold voice echoed inside the dense Sea of consciousness as he sized up that blonde-haired man.

Hearing Abium's words, Udnir shook his head and responded with a chuckle.

"This form is a minute part of my consciousness, not a memory fragment. Memory fragments are just like record magic, which has a part of one's memory and will. But consciousness is different. I can think on my own, and after accumulating countless experiences and absorbing divine powers, I can evolve into a real soul one day." He stopped for a moment as he glanced at Abium's Sea of consciousness and continued,

"Once you turn this sea of consciousness into a cognitive world through learning more information and experiencing, you will also be able to separate a part of your consciousness easily like me."

Hearing Udnir's words, Abium got puzzled.

"Aren't you invading my mind to kill me?" He furrowed his brows.

"Within your Sea of consciousness, I won't be able to kill your soul. You already learned some secrets about this world, so I have no choice but to back away. Moreover, I already used most of my energy to search your memories and got what I wanted." Hearing Udnir's calm words, Abium got deeply startled.

The next instant, he noticed Udnir was holding a white cloud in his hand and got anxious.

With a simple thought, he identified it was a memory about that mysterious fountain and got pale.

'Damn it! How did he get that memory cloud?' His face turned grim, and the next moment, the whole Sea of consciousness trembled like an earthquake.

Abium's eyes turned colder as he began to grab a white cloud from his Sea of consciousness.

"Materialize." He spoke coldly, and the next instant, that white cloud turned into a web-like pattern and began to spread in every direction.

Simultaneously, multiple clones of himself formed from other clouds and conjured many firebolt-like structures. All of those bolts were created from Abium's understanding of the Fire law.

Abium didn't hesitate any longer and directly attacked Time God Udnir.

Meanwhile, Time god Udnir got shocked by this mortal's action and began to escape from Abium's Sea of consciousness.

Seeing that blonde-haired old man was trying to tear his Sea of consciousness to escape, Abium laughed coldly inside and shrouded his mind completely with his spirit power.

At the same time, he released all those red bolts towards Udnir. The next moment, streaks of red bolts darted towards Udnir and were about to pierce through his illusionary body.

Time God Udnir felt immense danger from those bolts and sighed heavily.

"Decelerate Time." A cold voice came out from Time God Udnir's mouth.

The following instant, Abium saw Time God Udnir evading all those red bolts at an unimaginable speed and almost appeared near to him in a second.

"This is the power of Time, Mortal." Time God udnir spoke coldly and plunged his sword while aiming at Abium.
