Rebirth of Abium

142 Chapter 142: Official Druid

31st May, Nobles' Borough, Peral Kingdom.

It was around 9 A.M. A blonde-haired girl with azure blue eyes stood at the entrance of a three-storied white mansion while holding a silver pocket watch in her hand. On her side was a black-haired girl who wore normal linen cloths and looked at the mansion full of awe.

''Damn, even with Abi's Noble seal, it cost us 1500 white gold coins to buy this Cerise Villa,'' Helena grumbled and then waited at the entrance.

''Why is coachman Orson taking so much to get that steward?'' Aliza wore a nervous look and glanced at her surroundings. Soon, she sensed a few malicious eyes were monitoring their movements and became anxious.

'Who are they?' She became alarmed inside.

''They must be Count Tibal's lackeys. Don't worry about them.'' Helena said casually and smiled as she saw a luxurious carriage moving towards their direction.

Within a minute, the carriage appeared in front of them, and a muscular black-haired man around thirty years old walked out of the carriage. He wore a narrow-sleeved black linen cloth, same-colored pants, and black shoes without heal. He had deep blue eyes, a thin mustache, an oval face, and a monocle on his right eyes.

''Sorry for making you wait here, Miss Helena and Miss Aliza.'' That man said politely while bowing his head and gave a golden key to Helena.

''No problem, Steward Rick.''

Helena waved her hand and caught the golden key. After that, she arrived in front of the mansion entrance gate and opened the gate with a click. Her action also attracted a few nearby mansion guards' attention. Many guards and even some servants walked near to the mansion to gather information about the new owner of this Cerise Villa.

A loud screech, two-meter tall Iron Gate opened and revealed an empty yard filled with dried trees and plants. With a single glance, anyone could tell this mansion garden was not maintained properly by the previous owner and looked like a barren, empty land. Helena's azure blue eyes scanned the whole yard and soon landed on the fountain at the center.

'Haa! At least the water supply to this mansion is still working.' She muttered inwardly while taking out a pouch full of seeds and tossed those seeds in different directions.

After that, she took out a different brown seed and tossed it into the fountain. Seeing her action, everyone, including Aliza, became puzzled. But when that seed made contact with the water, everyone's eyes widened as they saw that seed germinated rapidly and grew into a large vine plant.

Seeing this strange magic, everyone who came to gather information about the new owner became shocked.

'She is a Druid!' That was the first thought that crossed everyone's mind. Even Aliza became drum struck and felt awed.

Within five minutes, the whole barren land changed into a garden filled with beautiful plants and trees.

Without minding others shocked gazes, Helena turned her face towards Rick and spoke,

''Hire two footman, one laundry maid, one Head nurse, One Housemaid, one gardener, one butler, two housekeepers, two chefs, and four guards. Hire those guards as temporary ones.''

''Okay, Miss Helena.'' Rick adjusted his monocle and nodded his head solemnly.

''Two hundred white gold coins should be enough for the maintenance for a year,'' Helena said while calculating everything in her mind and gave a bag of white gold coins. After that, both Helena and Aliza began to walk into the large mansion house.

It was a two-storied mansion. The house's interior was focused around a large central hallway serving as the main avenue of traffic and entrance area to the adjacent rooms. The hallway flows into a large, wide staircase that provides the main means of egress from the house's entertainment area to the second floor's private rooms.

Four formal rooms with sixteen-foot ceilings, pocket doors, fireplaces, and tall windows form the building's main block. The predominant colors were dark with tan and gold highlights, creating an interesting contrast to the original interior trim painting of ashen pinks, tans, pale blues, and black detailing.

This combination of colors was repeated throughout both floors of the house. On either side of the main doors were smaller, longer versions of the colored glass windows. The doorknobs, plates, and hinges are brass with raised Eastlake style ornament.

Helena and Aliza walked into the central hallway with awed faces and started to do their own jobs.

Meanwhile, Rick began to hire all servants, and within two days, the whole two-storied mansion became lively.

On the other hand, Helena sat on the table in the study room and fixed her gaze at the green ring, which Abium gave earlier.

Without delay, she sent her spirit power into the ring and tried to find some clue about this ring.

Suddenly, she felt a mysterious invisible force came from the ring and entered her mind.

The next instant, the chirping sound of birds that echoed from the outside yard went silent. She tried to move her hand and became stunned as she saw her whole body was moving slowly. No! Her mind began to think faster!

The next moment, she felt her whole spiritual power drained completely and got anxious. Without any delay, she retracted her spiritual power and let out a sigh as she saw everything returned to normal.

'What the hell was that?!' She stared at the green ring with a bewildered face and became completely stupefied inside.

'This is definitely not a normal artifact.' She thought to herself and let out a deep sigh. Then, she shifted her attention towards the green-colored essence hidden in the ring and touched it using her spirit power.

The next instant, the strange green essence disappeared from there and reappeared in the depths of her mind. At the same time, it began to release some green mystic power into her body and then strengthened her Nature affinity.

Helena felt some strange energy entering into her body cells and became startled. Before she could check what was happening to her body and mind, a sharp pain assaulted her.

It lasted for a few seconds and then vanished.

At the same time, Helena checked her body and became shocked as she noticed some changes that appeared in her mind and body.

She felt the connection between her soul and the World Tree's leaf became denser.

'I became an official Druid!' Her eyes widened.

She stood up and looked at the green ring with confusion.

'I can also feel some changes in nature affinity.' She furrowed her brows and quickly walked out of her room. Then, she went to Carriage House and asked Orsan to drive the carriage towards the adventurers' guild.

Soon, the carriage left the Cerise Villa and moved to the Adventurers' Guild.

After 30 minutes, in the Commoners' Borough.

A carriage with a redbird symbol arrived in front of a three-storied building with a sword and shield symbol.

A second later, a blonde-haired girl around 20-years-old walked out of the carriage and then headed towards the building while showing a crystal-like card to the security guard. She wore a red long coat over her thin white shirt, black pants, and brown leather shoes.

Once Helena entered the Adventurers' Guild, she attracted the attention of all adventurers.

But Helena didn't halt her footsteps and directly went to the second floor through circular stairs.

Once she arrived on the second floor, she moved towards the large head-sized white crystal placed at the right-side corridor's end.

Within a minute, she arrived in front of the crystal and placed her guild card on it.

The next instant, a row of information appeared in the white guild card.

But she didn't even glance at that information and said solemnly while injecting a bit of spiritual power into the white crystal.

''Re-check my body and update the information on the guild card.''

After a minute, another row of information appeared on her guild card.

[Name: Helena Frost

Age: 19

Sex: Female

Nationality: Hudo Empire.

Occupation: D-Rank Adventurer

Class: Third-Tier Warrior→ Official Druid

Affinity for Darkness- High

Affinity for Nature- upgraded from Average → High →Good.]

A smile crept on her face as she saw the changes on the guild card. After she updated her status on the Guild card, she walked out of the adventurers' guild and returned to the Cerise Villa along with Orson.

Then, she went back to the study room and sat on the wooden chair.

'Hmm, my work here in the capital is almost over. That girl, Aliza, also said she is expecting to go to Alastall woodlands quickly. She seems to have no ill intention towards our territory, so I don't think Abi will get angry. Aliza staying in our territory also a good thing for us. Now, I'm more concerned about the unknown organization.' She frowned deeply and shifted her eyes towards the unsealed letter.

'Seekers of Nature, huh. I never heard of such an organization before. But it appears mysterious.' Helena shook her head with a helpless smile.

On 2nd June, around 8 A.M. Dewsummit city.

A luxurious carriage with a symbol of redbird exited from the northern gate and moved towards the east. Helena and Aliza sat inside the carriage while gazing outside through the curtain holes.

''Twenty men are following us. 10 has the strength of second-tier warriors, seven third-tier warriors, two fourth-tier warriors, and the leader who seems to be a fifth tier warrior.'' Aliza said with an anxious tone.

Hearing those words, Helena's face turned gloomy.

'Both of us are not strong enough to hold off against these many peoples. It seems Count Tibal planned to kill me with everything he has. Hmm, Abi's disappearance must be the reason for his bold action.' she nodded her head in understanding and muttered slowly.

''Eye of Nature.''

The next moment, her azure blue eye turned green. Simultaneously, an eye-like pattern appeared on all the plants' leaves on the outside and stared at all those well-armored knights. After studying the enemy group carefully through her eye of Nature, Helena turned her head towards Aliza and said with a cold smile.

''I'm going to assassinate the leader after the nightfall. So, find a way to distract other warriors' attention.''

Hearing Helena's words, Aliza became shocked and quickly nodded her head.

...

On 2nd June around 11 A.M, Near to the Silverland city.

A humanoid figure with red wings slowly landed on the ground just a few miles away from Silverland City. Abium quickly removed his black academic robe and changed his clothes into a grey shirt and black pants. He wore a golden bracelet on his ring hand, which had a unique jade-colored trinket embedded in it. Once he confirmed there was no one nearby, he quietly took out a black hat and wore it to hide his elongated ears and golden hair.

After that, he started walking towards Silverland city with a stern look on his face. But as soon as Abium walked near to the city gate, he frowned deeply. Because he saw a total of hundreds of Holy Knights, who wore white mantle with red nabla symbol, standing outside that the Silverland city entrance gate. Most of them wore silver-helmet armor and had a long iron sword hanging on their waist. He even saw more than eighty camping tents placed a few hundred meters away from the entrance and got puzzled.

With a puzzled look on his face, he turned his head towards the entrance and saw a small group of Holy knights standing near the entrance while talking casually. And in front of that group was a Red robed young man looking coldly at the tightly closed gate.

He had Frizzy chestnut-colored hair, hooded jade eyes, pale face, pale skin, and ordinary eyebrows. But what made Abium squint his eyes sharper was, he saw the same nabla Light church symbol was embroidered on the young man's red robe. As he saw that robe, Abium knew this man was a Bishop of Light Church and became perplexed.

'Why are they here?'

'Wait...This Bishop must be the one who is stealthily monitoring Keris Royal family members. But why did he reveal his presence now? What was his name again?... Reas? No...I think his name is Piers. Yes, now, I remember. His name is Piers Hoster.' Abium eyes became icy cold as he finally remembered this Bishop Piers and started to recall information about him.

Abium knew this whole civil war, which was now happening solely because of this single person. In the past, even after Bishop Piers' death by the mysterious necromancer during the Silverland city incident, his few disciples continued his footsteps to work in the shadow and finally even managed to kill all the royal family members. Then, they made a puppet ruler and turned this whole Keris kingdom under Light church control. But that was just the beginning.

Abium clearly remembered that this kingdom became a stronghold for Night demons after the Royal Family's destruction. Due to the Light believers losing their God's help, those Holy knights were butchered by those Night demons like insects.

Abium would definitely kill those five disciples of Bishop Piers' if he got an opportunity in the future. His amber eyes soon turned towards those five white-robed arrogant looking peoples, and his face turned grim. As Abium saw those white-robed priests stood behind that Bishop Piers, he was damn sure these guys were the ones who behind all those incidents.

'But why did they appear here now at this time? Is it already time for large Expedition?' Abium frowned deeply. Then he shifted his gaze towards the group of normal civilians entering the city through a small gate while showing their identity and thought of asking them directly.

Without any delay, Abium also quickly mingled with the crowd and asked a random guy to gather more details. Because of his gentleman attire, that black-haired adventurer instantly gave him a respected bow and began to answer his doubts. After a simple exchange, Abium managed to understand the current issue.

His guess was right. The Light Church, Keris Royal family, and an unknown organization were planning to go on an expedition to the Taiga Sloth woods. Some adventurers had found an ancient ruin at the depths of that Taiga sloth woods, and all the adventurers were planning to join this expedition. As for why these Holy knights, Light Priests, and Lights Bishop were here, it seems they were after two fugitives.

It all started when a few Holy knights entered inside the city to capture two humans two months ago in the name of purifying two corrupted souls. But this city guardian mage Sean directly chased them out and even warned them not to cause any problem inside the city ever again.

After that, this mysterious Bishop Piers of Light Church arrived one month ago and ordered that mage Sean to send those two humans out. But to their surprise, mage Sean instantly refused his orders and shut down this city most of the time.

He also told them that unless they have the permission letter from Kaummiths academy, he won't let a single Holy knight enter this city. From that day onwards, Bishop Piers and other Light priests would show up at the entrance from time to time and seemed to be preparing for the upcoming expedition while constantly pressuring the mage Sean. They also continuously searched for those two humans stealthily and put those two on the wanted list. But still, they got disappointed by mage Sean's response.

Abium was not surprised by that mage's reply because the same thing had happened in the past. At that time, it was a mysterious necromancer. Well, in the end, that necromancer boldly revealed himself at the end of the expedition and killed this Bishop ruthlessly before he escapes. Now, it seems this Bishop was waiting for Kaummiths Academy's reply.

Abium knew Academic mages now didn't even have time to take care of this matter and quickly made up his mind to take this matter into his own hand. As he was thinking, Abium noticed it was his turn to show the identity, so he quickly took out his noble batch and passed it to the security. At the same time, Abium saw the one who was checking his identity was not a warrior but a first-tier mage, which made Abium astonished. He had never expected that an official mage would be willing to work as a security guard!

Meanwhile, the mage who wore a black robe quickly checked his batch to see if it was original and let him in quickly.

After that, Abium directly walked inside the Silverland city and began to search for Nicolaus and others. It didn't take long for him to find out where they were staying, so quickly, he moved towards the inn where they were staying in. It was a normal Inn called Red meat, which was situated at 58 Elm Street.

After a few minutes, Abium stood in front of a three-storied building with a symbol of meat and wine cup placed on the top. His lips arched upward as he confirmed it was the Inn he was looking for, so he quickly walked inside while adjusting his black hat.

Once he entered the Red meat Inn, he quickly moved towards the reception desk and asked the receptionist without minding the other adventurers' curious gazes.

''Do you know anyone named Nicolaus staying in this inn?''

As his words ended, the whole noisy inn suddenly turned silent. Soon, a muscular adventurer with short wavy black hair stood up while gripping his sword and asked with a quiet tone.

''Who are you?''

Abium raised his eyebrows a little and turned his head to observe that adventurer who appeared to be around 35 years old and had brown eyes. He wore a simple brown linen shirt and black pants and had a long sword on his waist.

After a simple scan, he was a little stunned as he saw that adventurer was a fourth tier warrior. Moreover, even his other three companions seem to be at the same level as him. One was a gray-haired old man with blue eyes with darker limbal rings. The other two were both women with black hair and fair skin. All of them wore simple linen shirts and pants and appeared simpler.

'Not a normal bunch indeed. Hmm, something feels off about this wavy black haired guy.' Abium analyzed everything with a second and snapped his finger as if he was playing a magic trick. Then, everyone saw his figure suddenly disappeared from there as he had never been here before.

There were around more than twenty adventurers who stayed inside that hall, and all of them became anxious as they stood up with a nervous expression on their faces.

''Take me to Nicolaus, quickly.'' Suddenly, Hooper heard a cold voice from his back as a finger touched his nape and felt chills all over his body. He instantly knew he was in deep shit when he saw that guy who wore the black hat disappeared in front of him!

'F*ck! He is a mage!' He cursed at himself and slowly nodded with cold sweat on his face. Meanwhile, Crazy Smith, Selma, and Nadine also stood near to Hooper in a frozen state and quickly turned their heads with a nervous expression on their faces. Nicolaus informed them that some mage would come and look for him, but they didn't expect that mage would be a powerful spatial mage!

Soon, they saw a black long robed figure looking coldly at them, and his eyes were emitting full of killing intent.

Abium quickly retracted his cold eyes and waited for that wavy black haired guy's response.

Hooper dare not to delay anymore and quickly asked Abium to follow after him while his companions also chased after them.
