Rebirth of Abium

144 Chapter 144: The Red Angel of Time!

'Should I use the Pale disk method?' Abium thought for a bit and nodded. Quickly, he took out white chalk from his spatial ring and began to draw a disk-like structure on the floor with many unique symbols in it.

The symbols were pictograms representing a range of subjects, including humans, magical beasts, birds, flowers, plants, and animals. Abium drew those symbols remarkably distinct and detailed. After an hour of struggle, Abium finished completing that complex Pale disk and started to decipher.

Unlike the last time, he didn't even face any difficulty now and quickly began to read,

''I got a clue about 'The Sky' from the Royal family secret chamber. It is in the depths of the 'Zephyr Endless forest.' Quickly deliver this message to 'His Holiness.' 'The Sky' is a hundred times more important than the blueprint of White Magic Tower.''

As Abium finished reading those letters, his expression turned worse.

'Damn it! It's the location of 'The Sky' Tower.'

Abium quickly made up his mind to send Roysia and Nicolaus back to the kingdom when he understood the seriousness. He now understood why the Light church put bounties on these two.

'But if that Bishop Piers had known about the content of this letter, he wouldn't have cared about mage Sean's title and stormed into this city to get his hands on this letter.'

'I think they still don't know the content of this letter. Hmm, the one who attacked Lady Roysia and her team might be just a messenger. He must have encountered Roysia's adventurers' team and attacked without even checking their team's strength. The messenger must be a noble vampire escorted by a group of holy knights.' Abium quickly guessed from all those clues and began to think of a plan.

'I think one who knew this letter must be Light Church spy working at the royal capital. He must be a scholar or a mage.' Abium nodded his head as he closed his eyes and quickly linked his soul to the mysterious throne hall and then let his consciousness enter into the other soul form. After that, he opened his foggy eyes while sitting on the golden throne and pulled this magical scroll into that Throne hall.

Inside the throne hall, he stood up from the golden throne while grabbing the magical scroll using his foggy hand and moved towards the mysterious fountain.

Within a second, a rectangular void appeared in front of Abium, and he spoke while touching that void,

''Show me the person who wrote this scroll.''

Slowly, Abium opened his eyes and conjured a ball of fire on his palm, then burn that scroll without any hesitation.

'I must find a way to kill that guy before he sends another scroll to the Light church.' Abium lips started to arch upwards and took off that Black hat from his head. After that, he put his Faceless Mask on his oval face and activated that artifact.

The next instant, everyone saw Abium's face started to change into a different one, and his elongated ears started to shrink. After that, his golden-colored hair turned into black while stunning everyone inside the room. Following that, he snapped his finger and disappeared from the house as he had never been here before.

...

Rock Street, Commoners' Borough, Silverland city.

Abium, in his human appearance, walked out of a dark alley and soon mingled inside a crowd. His first job was to find out the identity of that grey-haired old man and give him a big surprise.

After that, he must gather more information about that Taiga sloth woods to participate in the expedition.

'Ruins? Nah, I don't think there are any ruins located at the Taiga Sloth woods' depths. Hmm, where can I get more information?' Abium walked in that street with a clueless face and soon saw a long messy black haired beggar sleeping on the edge of the street road. He had thick eyebrows, and unshaved long beard, and wore torn clothes. He seems to be around 35 years old and had few wound marks. With a simple scan, Abium confirmed his strength and nodded.

'A thief who already reached the fifth tier, he is not a normal one.'

Abium instantly smiled when he noticed a strange dagger tattoo on his hand and quickly walked near him. That messy-haired beggar opened his dark blue eyes slowly, then gave him a curious glance and once again closed his eyes.

Abium watched that beggar amusingly and sat near him without minding commoners' curious gazes and then talked casually.

''I have a job for your leader. Tell her that I want to meet her before dusk.''

The messy-haired beggar suddenly opened his eyes with a hint of wariness and said in a weary tone.

''I'm a homeless beggar, not an adventurer, sir. You got the wrong person.''

Abium didn't reply; instead, he conjured a small flame on his palm and gave him a sly grin.

The next instant, the beggar's face grew deadly pale as he sat up hurriedly and spoke solemnly.

''Honorable Mage, I will quickly inform your words to my master.'' He didn't dare to delay and was about to get up, but Abium raised his hand and stopped him. Then he snapped his finger to let the conjured flame disappear and asked him calmly.

''What's your name?'' Beggar's body went stiff for a moment as he heard Abium's words and hurriedly answered.

''Cedric, My Lord.''

''Good, I have another job, but this time it is for you. Do you want to take it?'' Abium asked Cedric and soon added,

''Think carefully before you agree, because this job has great risk.''

Cedric revealed his stained yellow teeth and said quickly with a rough voice.

''All the jobs involving Thieves' guild contains danger, my lord. So, I think there is no need for me to think deeply about it.''

Abium smile widened as he heard Cedric's answer and quickly took out a scroll, ink bottle, and a feather pen to write a letter from his spatial ring.

He dipped the feather pen into the red ink and started writing with a smirk on his face.

After a minute, Abium tied that scroll with a thread, gave it to Cedric, and then started talking.

''Give this to a man named Rilos in Red Meat Inn. Tell him that I want to talk to him on the day before the expenditure at City Square.''

Meanwhile, Cedric quickly grabbed the scroll and nodded solemnly as he placed that scroll into his old bag.

''Goodbye, I will contact you later,'' Abium said calmly and quickly disappeared from there while startling everyone near to Cedric. At the same time, Cedric quickly snapped back to reality and soon mingled into the crown.

...

At 4 P.M, 56 Elm Street, Commoners' Borough.

Cedric stood at the entrance of Red Meat Inn with a nervous look on his face and quickly walked in. He had already informed about that mage to his master and hurriedly came here to finish his next job. Now, Cedric's appearance looks like a normal adventurer instead of a beggar. His black hairs were combed neatly, and there was no beard on his face. He looked like a normal guy one would see anywhere.

He wore a new black linen shirt and black pants. But what made everyone to steal a glance at him were his unique shoes. He now wore high-quality shoes that emit a trace of mana whenever he took a step. He wore a proud look on his face and quickly stood at the Reception desk's front and then asked in a quiet tone.

''Do you know anyone named Rilos staying in this inn?'' Although his tone was quiet, everyone who stayed in the hall heard it clearly.

Meanwhile, the female receptionist got anxious as she remembered an unknown mage's appearance earlier and instantly nodded her head while bowing. She believed this gentleman who stood in front of her must be some mage. Seeing her reaction, Cedric got almost stupefied.

The receptionist also quickly checked the record and quickly replied.

''Sir, there is a guy named Rilos registered today morning. His room number is 206.''

Cedric quickly recovered from the shock and nodded. But before he could turn his head, he suddenly felt sleepy and soon found himself entered in a strange half-sleeping state. Although he could see what was happening outside, he couldn't be able to feel his body.

'Strange! What is happening?' He felt as if his body was completely under someone's control!

Before he could understand what the hell was happening, he saw his body was moving towards room number 206 and soon arrived in front of that strange wooden door.

Soon, a brown-haired middle-aged man around 40 years old opened that door from inside and gestured him to enter. Meanwhile, Cedric was already on the verge of crying as he felt some unknown thread was controlling his whole body.

After two seconds, he suddenly gained control over his body and became relieved.

''Who sent you here?'' A cold, rough voice came from that russet brown-eyed man. Cedric didn't dare to speak a word; instead, he quickly took the scroll and gave it to that mysterious middle-aged man. Rilos frowned a bit and soon picked up the scroll from his hand and then started to read.

''Hello, Mr.Rilos,

Do you want to co-operate with me?

-The Red Angel of Time. ''

As Rilos read those few words, his complexion drastically changed. He knew what that 'Angel of Time' title represent and became extremely nervous. There were only a few guys who boldly used this title.

'Time God Udnir's servants! Angels of Time! Time God Udnir once again appeared in this plane.'This news gave him a chill. Rilos heard many legends about that mysterious God and soon calmed down.

'No! I heard Time God's servants already died during the ancient war. Something is wrong. Hmm, maybe this guy must be a psychopath to use the real 'Time God' Udnir's servants title. Damn, I'm almost got scared of some psycho.' He wiped his cold sweats on his face and quickly dismissed that black-haired messenger.

'I don't care if he is the real one or not. I must inform my teacher Mike.' Rilos instantly activated a communication trinket, and soon he heard a groan from the other side.

''Rilos, did something happen?'' A creaky voice came from another side.

''Teacher Mike, I just now received a letter from an unknown person. And he claimed himself as an Angel of time!'' Rilos instantly spilled everything, and soon the room returned to dead silence. Both of them didn't speak a word, and after some deliberation, a voice came from his communication trinket.

''Send me that scroll quickly. I will use divination to check if I can track that person. We have already lost that Tear of Phoenix to some random elf, so I don't want to lose 'Death Cane.' Without the 'Breaker of Soul Chain' spell, I won't be able to break away those invisible chains placed in my body.''

Rilos nodded solemnly and quickly picked up a strange red raven puppet and then placed that scroll in its mouth. A second later, that strange puppet flew through the window towards the northern direction.

Meanwhile, a black-haired kid around 16-years old stood on the opposite side and watched that strange puppet amusingly. He had already discussed with Azolla about his plan to use that necromancer, and she asked him to write his name as 'Red Angel of Time' in the scroll.

'Azolla, why did you pick the Red Angel for me?' Abium asked in wonder. He could easily tell that strange title had already scared that necromancer Rilos, making him completely stupefied. He then thought of five thrones inside the mysterious throne hall and began to ponder.
