When Xiao Yang arrived at a traditional manor where his predecessor lives, two young guards were standing at both ends of the entrance, and they looked at Xiao Yang with disdains.

"Psst... Do you reckon he could receive an element tomorrow?" One of the guards asked the other one as Xiao Yang passed by.

"Poof! That would be impossible, his elemental talent is too low and he is only a bastard's son" He waved his hand then continued by saying, "His result for last year's test was the worst. He couldn't even light up a single elemental crystal, that just shows how bad his talent was."

Xiao Yang ignored them, he knew that they were referring to the predecessor. As unpleasant as their words sound they weren't wrong though, Xiao Yang used to get bad scores in every single test, it wasn't because his talent was bad, but he doesn't receive the same resources as everyone else as the bastard's son. Xiao Yang's mother, Qian Xian left with an unknown man without the family's permission and came back with a son half a year later. No one knows who she went with and what happened.

As a result, they never considered Xiao Yang to be part of the family, he doesn't receive private tutoring nor does he receive high-class elemental fluid to cultivate his talent on a specific element.

Before he reaches the place he lives, an elegant young lady in the garden sitting on a swing, she had a petite body, fair skin, and eyes as bright as a star. Her name was Zhang Yuxi, the childhood sweat heart of the previous Xiao Yang.

From he remembered, Xiao Yang used to sneak out of the manor just to meet up with her when they were little, however, the Zhang family soon discovered this and because of Xiao Yang's poor talent, they prohibited them two from seeing each other.

Normally it was Xiao Yang the one who sneaks up to the Zhang manor to occasionally meet up with her, so it was quite rare for her to actually come looking for him so openly today.

She soon walked up to him and said, "Xiao Yang, I have come here today to tell you that I'm already engaged with Qian Lee, and this is my own decision."

Although he doesn't know what the previous Xiao Yang would say, he himself clearly has no personal relation for her so he sincerely replied, "Congratulation".

Yuxi after hearing that though he was just being stubborn, and that he would continue to try to chase her, "It doesn't matter whether you can receive an element tomorrow or not, I have already made my decision and both families had already agreed to the engagement".

Xiao Yang was not interested in speaking with her, so he just continued walking past but suddenly another young lady came running towards him. She stops right in front of Xiao Yang with her hand on her chest to control her breathing, seemed to be looking for him for quite a while.

"Xiao Yang quickly comes with me, the elders are having a heated argument with auntie!" She quickly grabbed hold of his hand and pulled him off in another direction. She was one of Xiao Yang's cousin, Qian Fei.
