Mu Qing was now in a dilemma.

The marriage of an Imperial Royalty, especially princes, was under the jurisdiction of the Imperial Dowager unless the Emperor decided to intervene and use his authority to bestow an Imperial edict, forcing both parties to marry each other. Finding a partner to be their lifelong companion was different from welcoming a concubine inside their Palace[1]. Young Ladies with high statuses would undergo selections. Be it in a skill competition or a simple gathering, women compete to show their strengths, hoping that they would be selected and became a prince's imperial consort.

Being a lowly Chief Imperial Guard, how could Mu Qing decide His Highness' marriage?

He could neither offend the Xuan and Chen family nor decide Xu Fei Yi's Imperial Marriage.

Once the news of His Highness, Qing Wangye went inside a woman's courtyard, both sides would be affected greatly especially Young Lady Xuan. Although there would be a possibility of a force marriage in order to save both sides, but it would greatly affect her reputation and she would receive the common people's contempt and disdain.

Besides, The Eldest Di daughter of the Xuan family was famous in the capital for being arrogant and was a pampered little young miss. He did not want His Highness to suffer under her clutches. His Poor Little Highness was as innocent as an angel. How could Mu Qing be willing to see His Highness suffer injustice?

He should address the situation with utmost care. No third party should know the incident to avoid any mishaps. The only thing he could do was to act fast and solve everything. The situation must be concealed at all cost. Although he was not sure whether Young Lady Xuan would agree to his proposal and treat everything as if nothing happened, Mu Qing knew that in order to protect her reputation, she could only swallow her grievance and pretend that His Highness never went inside her courtyard.

"Quick! Bring me to Xuan manor! Hurry!!"

Without thinking of Zhang Wu Li's well-being, Mu Qing half-dragged, half-carried the young eunuch against his will. The young eunuch screamed while trying to break free from Mu Qing's evil hands.

"Wait!!! Chief Mu!! Get dressed first! You are only wearing your inner garments!! Do you want to be persecuted for being a pervert?!"

Mu Qing stopped and stared at himself. Remembering that he was only wearing a thin cloth covering his entire body, Mu Qing coughed embarrassingly.

*cough*

"Wait here. I'll be done in a minute."

Mu Qing hurriedly went inside his room to get dressed.

"What did you say?"

The emperor, Xu Ji Mo, angrily gripped the arm support of the Dragon Throne as he stared at the unknown man standing in front of him. The man was wearing a black hanfu-styled clothing[2]. Xu Ji Mo's eyes carried a deep hatred while looking at the man who did not put his status as the Emperor of Qian Zou in his eyes and even dared to ordered him to do their bidding.

"You heard me. His Majesty ordered you to send Xu QinWang[3], Xu Fei Yi, to Jing country and let him stay a couple of years. You are not allowed to refuse."

"Impossible!! How could Zhen[4] allow an Imperial Prince to be a hostage in your county? The commoners would not agree to it!!"

The man did not panic after hearing Xu Ji Mo's refusal. Instead, he glared at him and open his mouth to rebuke the man sitting on the Dragon Throne.

"Do not forget who helped you sit comfortably on that throne. Do you think that without our help, you would be to successfully snatch the crown to your younger brother? Heh. Xu Ji Mo, Our Majesty does not like someone who burns the bridge after crossing[5]. A puny country like Qian Zou is beneath Our Majesty's eyes. All he wanted was to have Xu QinWang stay in our country for a couple of years."

After hearing the man's words, Xu Ji Mo's eyes sharpened. It was indeed what the man said. If not for Jing country's Emperor, Xu Fei Yi would have been the one sitting on the Dragon Throne while he, Xu Ji Mo would have been the one being thrown outside the palace.

Few years ago, His deceased Imperial Father left the capital and went to the borders to address a great issue regarding to Qin counties border invasion. The countries officials opposed the previous emperor's decision but was not able to persuade the later to withdraw his decision. It was the time to select a crown prince and he, as the oldest one should have been crowned before the previous emperor left since the Empress did not leave any child before she died but the competition that time was very tense and the princes could not do anything but to check each other's power, balancing the distribution of authority among the Imperial siblings.

Xu Ji Mo was already married when his Imperial Father returned, bringing a pregnant woman with him and announcing that the woman whom he had brought would be crowned as the new master of the Imperial harem.

Many officials refused to acknowledge the woman, especially those who had a daughter in the imperial harem, saying that she had a questionable background. But everything went silent after his deceased father used his power to subdue the opposition.

Ever since then, Xu Ji Mo hated Xu Fei Yi the most. He felt that Xu Fei Yi stole all of his Imperial Father's love, leaving him nothing---Not even a bit of affection. He was already old enough to sit on the throne, but his deceased Imperial Father still decided to choose Xu Fe Yi, who was still crawling at that time as his successor. Xu Ji Mo could only grit his teeth and silently endure until he was able to remove Xu Fei Yi in his path. After years of silently enduring everything, he was able to kill that bitch Empress and remove Xu Fe Yi as the successor with their help. The assassins that time was sent by Jing emperor to help him remove the mother and child duo out of his life. Without their help, how could Xu Ji Mo succeed the throne?

"There's no room for negotiation. You will send Xu QinWang in Jing country immediately. It's up to you to think of any reason you can use to send him there."
