Rebirth: Over the Horizon

Inside the world of [Spectacular] 

A man was sitting there, he seemed to be meditating, he was two times taller than Adam, his body was packed with muscles. 

His huge face was covered with swirled hair which dangled to his neck, his body also had more strange symbols compared to the other warriors. 

"Hello, my name is Adam Crystal."

The man slowly opened his eyes stood toweringly before Adam and slightly bowed. 

"Welcome to my humble tribe, Superior Being." 

Adam felt a bit strange, hearing him called by the word 'Supreme Being' 

"You can just call me Lord crystal." 

"Okay, my Lord." 

"So, what is the problem." 

"Truth to be told, I don't know how long we can survive." 

"Our plane is being connected we are being attacked by other small planes." 

"When this plane is in its dormant period, it has no resistance to the outside..."

"At this time, the beasts who are good at the space system can easily open up the portal, and a large number of beasts will swarm in." 

"Our tribe had more than 10,000 warriors some 4 years ago, but as our dimension become weaker and weaker." 

"We had no choice but to fight against the unknown monsters, many of us sacrificed ourselves to protect others." 

"During our most toughest periods, I received a divination saying 'Trying to open your own portal you will survive'." 

"After the divination, we Cathayan tribe finally able to found a way to survive!" 

He made a sad expression and then continued again. 

"But, oldest being, Prehistoric Black Knight, casted magical chains in our heart." 

"If we ever ventured outside our dimension for more than 72 hours, our soul will be directly offered to her." 

"We have no other choice but to succumb here, but, my daughter Kiemia tried her best and it seems she finally invited a supreme being like yourself." 

Then, the man turned and rummaged through a black wooden box and took some strange black stone which was engraved with weird structures. 

"This the [Rune of Authority], we are basically rune masters, who rely on their wits and crafts to fight against our foes." 

'So, you are basically a productive class, huh.' 

"This rune was created by the first chief If my lord can defeat the black beast and relieve us from our terrible fate." 

"I will give the [Rune of authority] to you and you will become the new chief of our cathayan tribe." 

"Okay." 

"Then, my lord do you want any troops to face the black beast." 

"No need! I will go by myself. Alumig will stay here and hell you defend against the dimensional creatures." 

"My lord, I think..." 

Adam's glare made Alumig shut up, and stay in his place. 

"Fly."

Without waiting a second more Adam departed from the small village and made his way to the black beast.

When Adam arrived at the location mentioned by the tribe chief, it was indeed desolate and gloomy. 

Adam directly landed before the cave's entrance and walked into the monster's liar cautiously. 

"Step...Step..." 

At that moment, he saw a towering figure covered in rusted black armour all over the body. 

He held a huge longsword and a red robe majestically hung down from his shoulders. 

'I think, he is definitely a tough opponent!' 

Adam summoned Abyss angel and prepared his battle stance.

'Thank god, at least our level gap is only 4.' 

Adam glanced at the dark knight on the opposite side and then shot a spell. 

"Ice spears" 

[-15 Mana] 

"Sprint" 

Adam gazed at the black which easily evaded his ice spear by using sprint skill. 

The black knight didn't stop there, it started running towards the direction where Adam was standing. 

'Fortunately, it's not [charge]' 

Adam thought as he stood in a defensive stance to receive the impact. 

[Charge] is a different skill from [Sprint], the charge is to strike the enemy in a straight line with the energy user gathered from the long distance. 

Along with heavy impacts and greater damages, it will also cause debuffs like stun, fear, blood loss. 

Whereas, sprint will simply boost once AGI for a short period. The sprint is more like a displacement skill. It will not cause damage during the strike.

However, it is not a powerless skill. After the sprinting effect is over, it will strengthen the next normal attack adding a 50% damage booster. 

Adam's expression suddenly condensed, 'Even if I block this blow, the next attack will be very painful.' 

Because Adam was wearing a fragile robe, even if its defences are moderately compared to other wizards' equipment. 

There is no chance of it blocking the second attack of the monster, in other words, the next general attack will be very painful.

Sensing this, Adam leapt in the air when the black knight was only a few meters away from him. 

"BOOM" 

His Abyss Angel directly crossed its path with the threatening long sword, the black knight lightly kicked Adam back and retreated. 

"Charge" 

This time, the black knight finally used its ultimate skill, a red light excluded from its eyes and sword. 

Then, the Black knight ran towards Adam with thunderous steps while penetrating the air on its way. 

At the very moment when the black knight was only a few inches away from its foe. 

Black knight stared at Adam who suddenly leaps in the air but instead of launching his attack, he started to float. 

The dark Knight was baffled and its sword directly hit the walls of the cave. 

The red light on its sword went off and the Black Knight was pushed back several meters back because of the explosion that happened on the wall. 

The disappearance of the red magic power also meant the end of his special skill, Adam successfully deceived the black knight and could relax a little temporarily.

After the smoke disappeared there was a huge crater on the cave wall. 

'Damn! If I tried to black that skill with my spells! My half HP would have been blown up by now.' 

Adam thought as he stared at the terrifying Carter before him. The success of Adam's evasion also means that the counterattack has begun. 

"Fireball"

"Flame Erupt"

The initial spell [Fireball] he cast was again to deceive the black knight. 

Flame erupt, usually canes into action after revealing its location through a magical circle. 

Higher-level monsters like black knight could easily evade the attack after seeing the magic circle. 

So as bait first Adam sent a fireball towards his enemy and make him take a larger attack.
