Reborn as a Mom

"I am more intimidated by my wife than any Group." Vivan laughed. There was a touch of warmth in his voice and his smile.

Steve was startled by Vivan's words. No proud man would accept in front of someone that he was cowed by his wife that too with a smile on his face.

It wasn't merely fake words but he truly knew for a fact that someone who made Ira her enemy should start counting his last days.

"She didn't disclose any further plans saying that it is a surprise for me." Vivan's eyes brightened with anticipation. Eager to what drama his wife unfolds he rubbed his palms.

His smile was somewhat unbearable for Steve.

"Anyway, I will try to get you a good compensation," Steve said in an aloof voice which was tinged with apparent disbelief and surprise.

While they were talking, they didn't notice as Ira entered the office.

She came over and sat next to Vivan. Holding his arms, she said: "Were you talking about me behind my back?"

"No. I would never." Pressing her fingers on his arms with his other hand, Vivan said assuringly. While Ira blinked her eyes with obvious disbelief.

She raised her eyes and saw Steve.

Ira cleared her throat, adjusted her position, and kept her hand on her knees. She said in an indifferent voice: "Hello, I am Ira."

Steve was startled and could not reply for a moment before muttering a weak "hello." Ira was trying to hide the fact that they knew each other.

Ira looked beautiful in a simple sky blue dress. Her face was still the same just that she got a bit chubbier due to pregnancy.

He once dreamed of an Ira like this, merely the man beside her was him in his imaginations carrying his child.

'When a woman is ready to consider a baby's life before herself. When she decides to become pregnant with a man. Does it mean she loves the man?' the thoughts were messing his mind.

With her back straight, she looked straight, hiding the nervousness in her heart quite well.

Ira's face was relaxed and prideful. When she came to know that Steve was their lawyer she was appalled as well. However very soon she decided to let it be.

Steve was a good lawyer. She needs him for some more time.

Furthermore, if she argued to change the lawyer without any reason, Vivan would definitely think that she was hiding something.

Hence she decided to act indifferent to Steve as if meeting a stranger.

It was hard as Steve brought back bad memories. But with Vivan there with her she became calm and confident.

Steve felt an unbearable pain in his heart when he saw her acting distant to him. While her cold voice softened by a visible degree when she talked with her husband.

Their interaction was digging daggers in his heart.

'If this is what she wants.' With the thought, his demeanor changed. He said: "Hello, I am Steve."

"What are your further plans?" Steve asked.

"Ak will be here in a few minutes. Let's talk then." She said looking at her watch.
