Reborn as a Mom

When she was back, she found her mom chatting with her husband.

A knot formed in her stomach. Her mother, Sia, was always there to guide her in life.

On the day of engagement, Reeya unfolded a huge drama. Both her parents were not happy with her behaviour. They scolded her.

She cried out, "The man is not goal oriented and career-driven like me. He is not the kind of man I admire."

That time Sia Rai explained to her, "You should be grateful. There isn't room for two big egos in one household."

At that moment, she never understood the meaning behind her mom's words. Now she did!

Men have infamously tender egos. Because her man was humble, she bore gratitude.

Like a fool, he was selflessly complying to her every demand. Even a divorce...

Her family was against her divorce. Nobody in the family had ever uttered the word.

Divorce was a failure. Divorce was the destruction of a household.

"You have to learn to love. Learn to live with each other."

"As long as you try to like someone, it's not hard falling in love."

"Marriage is a responsibility. To make it work, you can't slack off even for a while."

"Marriage needs constant efforts from both sides; it needs sacrifice. The first thing you sacrifice is your ego."

Sia's words rang in Ira's mind.

Despite their efforts, she got divorced from Vivan. And then her life went tumbling down...

"Mom, I had a nightmare."

"Mom, don't go. I'm scared."

"Mama sleep with me.."

Days passed as she worked excessively, but nighttime was difficult. When her own demons came to eat her mind. During those time her mom held her close shooing away her grief

Parents always think about the wellbeing of their child. Now after being pregnant, she understood the insecurities and fear for her children, her mom had to live with.

"I bought chicken soup for you both. Drink while it's hot." Sia pointed to the thermos on the table.

"You eat as well." She saw Ira peek at her with mixed emotions.

She walked to the table and dragged it before Vivan.

"Let me," Ira went forward to help. She picked a bowl, cleaned it with a tissue, and poured the soup in the bowl.

Ira sat on the chair, carefully simmering the oil of the soup, she spooned out some and reached out to feed Vivan.

"Cough... It's his leg that's broken not his hands." Sia laughed.

The girl who didn't even pick a bowl was feeding someone. Glad that their relationship developed well she teased her.

"I can drink it myself." Vivan moved to take the spoon from her hands. He was embarrassed before his mother-in-law.

"Hey, let me feed you." Ira blew the spoon but did not let go.

"Okay. I will take your leave." When she found Ira accommodating Vivan, her face displayed a smile of relief.

"No, Mom stay," she said. Vivan gave her a look; Since the feelings between the two changed, he couldn't wait for Ira's mom to leave.

"You eat as well." She pointed to Ira and went out of the door.

Before closing in, she said, "Since you got an excuse. Don't bully my daughter too much."
