First: Who is Emperor Palpatine?

I only know a little bit about him, but that's enough to make me doubt it all, so... Yes. Let's take a look.

...... Well, then, before he became an emperor and built an empire, he was just a prime minister. aka. Ruler of the galaxy. As far as I know, normally, one top prime minister would try for four years or so and then democratically elect another. Damn it! Democracy is clean. I like it. I think. From this point of view, Palpatine seems to have ruled for a long time. Like, really for a long time.

It turns out that a bunch of things that the Nebula Front stole from the Trade Alliance, titanium ingots, have been sent to the Valen family's bank account. This is...... Well, on the surface, it seems that he collaborated with a terrorist organization in order to expand his family's reputation. Very bad.

In contrast, Emperor Palpatine – a kind, compassionate, public opinion statesman – was nothing short of a godsend. Forced sends? Haha

, anyway, people really like him. He had and still has many close allies. A good leader.

...... But, of course, that's just what the archives say. In any case, it would be naïve to assume that these stories tell an unbiased and nuanced story. ...... Here's another interesting thing, I can't really find much information about politicians who don't support Palpatine. A lot of people say how great his supporters are and how well they perform, but what about others? I don't know at all.

I think the answer may lie in the petition of 2,000 people

I don't know who signed it, but apparently just before the end of the war and the rise of the empire, 2000 senators signed this petition with the aim of illegally overthrowing Palpatine in order to strengthen their own power. As corrupt senators bribed by separatists and businessmen, they are threatened by Palpatine's determined methods of bribery and extortion.

So, they filed a petition in a covert attempt to destabilize the republic that suddenly equalized rights. After a thousand years of corruption, only now purged by Palpatine, they want to restore it to that state, all to satisfy their own need for power and finance.

More likely, 2000 senators of some kind of faction were so upset with Palpatine's seizure of so much emergency power that they tried to counter it with a petition. But by the time Palpatine then formed his one-man stage play, Empire, the petition was almost stillborn. Not much has been said about how Palpatine will use his powers or whatever, but considering that he can continue to serve as Supreme Speaker for so many years beyond the normal due date, he does make good use of his emergency powers.

... If I were a conspiracy theorist, I might have thought that Palpatine might have been involved in the process of initiating or even sustaining the war. It seems like he does have a penchant for power, right?

Well, it's a stupid idea, bordering on madness, so I'm just... Leave it there. Yes? Yes.

But that still leaves me without an answer. I still don't know how Palpatine survived the encounter with the four Jedi Masters.

Unless he's a good politician, I don't doubt that. He's not going to be the dictator of the galaxy because he's good-looking.

Next, I tried to find out what the charge was telling me, but I could barely find it.

Anakin Skywalker doesn't exist, and neither does Ella. I tried, and I couldn't find any Jedi. They have been erased from the face of the galaxy one by one. The old commander of the stormtroopers, the Green Wizard, also doesn't exist, but that's not surprising. To be honest, the only thing I could find even the slightest bit of information was the planet itself, but even then, most of that information was only about its current state. There are no records of any stories about the war. The war itself looks illusory.

At the end of the day, the more I know about the emperor, the more he is an enigma. I hope to get to know him more in the future, but time is running out for now, and it's dinner time.

Dinner passed without a hitch and was exactly what I liked. What really happened was that I kept asking Fern if I had anything slightly sweeter on my plate. Seeing him always taste a spoonful of my food in front of me made me think he was a royal poison examiner.

The small amount of time I spent between dinner and bedtime was mostly for research.

I soon fell into deep thought, and I aimlessly read about the cuisine of all over the galaxy. There weren't as many sweets as I thought I would, but even so....

I can't believe my sweet tooth just disappeared. Rest in peace delicious.

So, bedtime. Today went by quickly.

I guess that's every day before we get to the bigger ship. Not entirely bad, but I'm afraid it might get a little boring. Then again, studying the Milky Way isn't boring at all, although it's a bit scary.

I waited outside the dorm room until my roommate arrived. Then I went in with them. We talked about a few things about the day, and then it was over. I guess life gets a little dull when there's no drama, right?
