Reborn princess: I will change my ill-fate
128 Chapter 128. A revelation 1
Aeinshia was feeling some discomfort inside her chest. She wiggled around her bed and pulled her sheets down to allow some air to come in. But, the feeling lingered and maybe got a little bit heavier.
It was like a churn in feeling inside her chest, that made her heartbeat to pick up pace. The discomfort pushed the sleep from her eyes and she could no longer lay on the bed. She sat up and massaged her chest, the feeling was slowly subsiding.
She groaned and was about to lay back on her bed, when her room door opened, silently. She was expecting Shirley to come in and smiled a bit, when the expected person walk in. But, she saw the main maid going directly going towards her dressing table, that was opposite of the bed.
The maid didn't yet, notice the princess got up and continued to finish her task given by Felix. Aeinshia frowned at the behavior and she looked out of the window. She realized it was still very early, as the sky was still very dark.
'She wouldn't expect me to get up this early in this morning. But, why she arranging my things, this early in the morning?' She thought internally.
"Shirley" her voice came out raspily, sleep still lingering in her voice. The main maid turned around too fast, that Aeinshia thought she was going to sprain her neck. Shirley eyed her with big eyes, not expecting anyone disturbing her while doing the tasks. She was busy trying to find a way to get it servant quarters, when the capital was under heavy watch.
"Princess? Princess, why are you up so early? Is anything bothering you? Should I help you with something?" The maid voiced out her 'concern' over the princess, who just giggled at the 'worried' maid.
"Calm down, Shirley. I'm completely alright. I just got up." She assured her maid and decided to ask her what was on her mind. "By the way, why are arranging my things, this early? Isnt it too early before I get up?" She asked as she eyed the box, Shirley was preparing.
Shirley looked at the box and then glanced back at Aeinshia. "Orders from Sir Felix, my princess. Sir Felix said to prepare your necessities so, your stay at the Palace would be comfortable. He said that you would be staying in the Palace for sometime." Shirley spoke out.
Aeinshia was having trouble to process the information given to her. It was early and she wasn't in right mind to access such heavy system. 'Palace? Why would I be staying at the Palace? Father went to West, but Felix is staying with me? Why would we be going to the Palace? Did something happen?'
Her thoughts were all over the place and something clicked in her head. She looked towards Shirley, "Did something happen last night?" She inquired with a stern and confused tone.
She didnt know that Evan accompanied her to her room. The last of her memory was she was thinking about the future in the carriage. 'I must've fallen asleep, during my thinking session.'
Aeinshia cleared her throat and faced Shirley again, who had a know in smile on her face. She ignored and raised her eyebrows to indirectly tell her maid to continue with the information. But, Shirley seemed to be unknown of her intention and continued to stare her with that smile.
Aeinshia tolled her eyes and spoke out, "What happened next?" She urged the maid to continue. Shirley composed herself and continued, "His highness Crown Prince was there for sometime, before the summoning alert went off." Shirley said.
Aeinshia's eyes widened. 'Summoning alert? Why was it being sounded? Did something bad happened?' Aeinshia was internally panicking. But, Shirley continued her words.
"The capital is now heavily guarded and the roaming of people is limited. Something must have gone wrong for the Emperor to sound the summoning alert." Shirley finished and looked at the princess, but found out that she wasn't even paying her any attention.
Shirley was offended, but what caught her attention were the unsteady eyes and clenching fist of Aeinshia. She raised her eyebrows at her actions. She seemed like she was having a internal mental breakdown.
'What got her so worked up like this? She looks like someone killed someone close to her. I swear she changed a lot. I wonder what got her like this? Times like this I wish I could read more than body language.' Shirley internally huffed.
While Shirley was busy trying to figure out what Aeinshia is so worried about, Aeinshia was having a full on internal breakdown. 'What happened?' This was the only sentence that was going around in her head.
Shirley was still eyeing her, but flinched and took a step back, when Aeinshia bolted up from her bed, flinging the covers to the side and raced across the room, in almost seconds.
It was so sudden, that Shirley had to blink twice to get into normal posture and realize that the princess already made her way to the door, which was almost across the room, from where she was sleeping.
Shirley was shocked by her speed, 'Wow, something really is wrong with her. These good for nothing royals always have many secrets. I wonder what is getting her so worked up?' Shirley silently thought, not even making a move to follow Aeinshia, as she already knows where the young princess is headed to.
Aeinshia ran through the hallways of her home and took turns and finally reached a set of large, dark brown wooden doors. She stopped in front of them and caught her ragged breath. She waited for two seconds, before she pushed the doors open, to reveal a sophisticated and elegant room.
It was of light color. Everything in was in a shade of white and light cream and light brown in color. But, the room was empty. Aeinshia frantically searched for the person in the room but, didnt find anyone in the room.
"Little sister, you are up early?" Felix raspy but oddly soft voice spoke out. Aeinshia whipped her head search in the person, but she couldnt see him. Then, Felix stepped into the room from the big balcony, that overlooked the greenery of dark, spooky forest behind the Duke's mansion.
"Brother.." Aeinshia breathed out. She ran towards him and stood before him with wide and frantic eyes. Felix looked into her eyes and couldnt understand the reason for the agitation in her eyes. Then, he noticed her ragged breath and decided to calm her down, first.
He cupped her face and looked into her eyes "Calm down, Aeinshia. Breath in and breath out." Felix demonstated and Aeinshia followed him, till her breath were finally normal. They stayed like that for some moments.
Aeinshia, then pulled out of her brother's hands and asked the question, "Why was there a summoning alert?" She asked with a balanced tone, which was exactly opposite of what she was feeling.
Felix sighed and started to explain the scenes from the last. He told everything that happened in the throne room. The riot, Evan's specifications, his speculations and the Emperor's orders.
When Aeinshia heard that Evan was going to the East, her heart almost stopped. He said he would go with her to the City Sylter. She had been confident that nothing could happen to her, when he was with her.
Fate really was playing bad with her. She thought she could change all of this, but why was this all happening to her? She was over the moon, thinking that she would visit the City and finally cross her first ill fated situation.
And, now all her hopes were crashing down on her. Then, suddenly she remembered something. Felix. Yes, Felix has promised to go with her. It was like blood was now flow in freely in her system, when she realized this.
'What if Evan doesnt come with me? I've my brother, he would protect me. Nobody would dare come near me, if I have him with me. Evan is needed by the country and I cant come between his responsibility with the country. As a Crown Prince, his first priority is always the country.'
Aeinshia internally thought all of these. She has her brother with her and Evan is needed for his duty. Everything was still alright and nothing was going to change. She sighed and looked at her brother, who was waiting do her reaction.
She smiled, "Evan's first priority should always be the empire. Its his duty as a Crown Prince. I can't and wont stop him. Besides, I have you, to come with me to mother. I'm sure, she would still be happy, with us coming."
Felix but his inner cheeks, when he heard that. Aeinshia spoke with so much hope, that he didn't have it in him, to tell her the truth. But, he has to do it. The more he hides, the more pain it will cause. He awkwardly coughed and looked at Aeinshia's face, which was lightened up.
"About that..." He started and rubbed the back of his neck, not knowing how to break his beloved sister's hope. Aeinshia looked up at her brother and caught his uneasiness. She searched his face for something and when she realized it, she didnt have it in her to believe it.
