Reborn: The Unexpected Twist

Chapter 119 - Help you

"Of course not, Jinhee-ah. T-that's n-not the case. Definitely I was worried about you," Jinkyung voiced out nervously.

Many could look through Jinkyung's fake acting at this moment. Nonetheless, it did not mean they had a better opinion of Jinhee.

"Certainly we all can see that. Believing some pictures instead of worrying about me- Definitely you care for me and like me. Can you leave now?"

Jinhee voiced out, "And everyone can look through your fake acting skills. So, until you perfect them, don't try to use them."

"Jinhee-ah, that wasn't my actual intention. I-"

Before Jinkyung could proceed with her lies, the teacher entered into the class, and all of the students stood up to show their respect.

Seeing Jinkyung standing there, the teacher frowned and asked, "What are you doing here, student Jinkyung?"

"I had to discuss some matter with my sister; I'll be taking my leave then," Jinkyung voiced out as she walked further away from Jinhee's table in order to exit the room.

"Finish such matters before the class starts," The teacher voiced out.

Embarrassment made Jinkyung's cheeks red as she walked out of the room, and anger was clearly shown in her eyes.

She couldn't believe that someone as incompetent as Jinhee had won over her and made Jinkyung look like the bad guy.

"I already told you to not go there and underestimate Jinhee!" The voice in her head chided.

Biting her nails as she walked on the hallway, Jinkyung ignored the words that the 'voice'.

She needs to see that Jinhee losing all of her self-esteem as soon as possible; She needed to do something fast.

°°°

The day did not go smoothly for Jinhee. Some of the teacher stared at her with disgust whilst others showed disappointment. Few even scolded her without a reason.

In Jinhee's opinion, the teachers in her school were really naive and easily believed the unconfirmed rumours.

The students looked for ways to trouble her, and although she did not get injured, few of her books were destroyed.

Even though Taehee maintained a distance with her, she shared her book with Jinhee and glared at those who created trouble for Jinhee.

Her glare was enough to imprint fear into those classmates of hers, who only knew how to bully the weak and fear the strong.

Taehee's actions warmed Jinhee's heart. It was as if in the midst of darkness, she was the one holding the light.

Currently, their last class for the day was going on, and their history teacher does not seem have a decent opinion of Jinhee after the rumour.

Jinhee sighed after recalling how hectic the day was today. If this continued regularly, it will affect her badly, and she had to think of something fast.

Immersed in the thoughts, Jinhee was driven out it when she noticed a piece of paper on her table. Curious, she picked it up and read the contents inside it.

"Do you need me to help you?"

Turning, Jinhee noticed that Taehee had a concerned expression on as her eyes stared at Jinhee. Jinhee was confused on what to do.

Taehee's offer was very much tempting, but she did not want to use Taehee when she wouldn't be able to return the favor.

Already she owes Taehee too much; She did not want to add more to that even though it was Taehee she was with the other day. Moreover, her pride was considered at this moment.

Jinhee will solve this by herself, and she'll be able to do it. After she fixed her situation, she will settle matters with Hyunbin's attacker.

She'll prove to herself and Taehee that even without Taehee, she is able to handle everything.

Jinhee shook her head.

On the same piece of paper, she wrote, "I can handle it."

Putting the paper on Taehee's desk, Jinhee turned towards the front. Their history teacher started to pack his bag for the bell rang, indicating the class was over.

Jinhee let out a yawn. All she wanted now was to go back to her dorm and prepare for the exams tomorrow.

This was the first time she'll be giving exams in this life, and she was curious on how she will do.

To show their respect, the students stood up as the teacher left the class and bowed. After the teacher walked out, few of the students, including Jinhee, started packing.

As Jinhee was putting her history textbook inside her bag, someone slammed her hand on her table. Nonetheless, Jinhee did not look up and continued to pack up her bag.

"Lee Jinhee," Im Jieun called, but Jinhee kept ignoring her.

"Yah! Lee Jinhee, I'm talking to you!" Im Jieun exclaimed whilst glowering a Jinhee.

Looking up with an apathetic expression, Jinhee questioned, "So?"

Standing up, Jinhee picked up her bag, and as she was about to walk out of their, Im Jieun held her wrist, preventing her from moving.

Feeling the tight grip against her wrist, Jinhee had a feeling that a bruise will form, and titling her head back, Jinhee ordered, "Let it go."

Her each syllables were pronounced clearly and threateningly whilst her eyes stared at Jieun solemnly.

Although Jieun felt a chill go down her back at that moment, it was not enough to make Jieun feel scared. In fact, her hold around Jinhee's wrist became stronger.

"Then don't mind me doing this," Jinhee mumbled.

Raising her leg, Jinhee kicked at Im Jieun's shin with her utmost strength. Pain went through her shin and knee, and kneeling down, she tightly clutched on to her knee whilst releasing her grip on Jinhee's hand.

Rubbing her wrist, Jinhee tried to ease the pain and reduce the redness. Im Jieun used lot for strength in her grip.

Nonetheless, it felt extremely good to do this!

Holding her knee, Jieun stared up, and her eyes scowled towards Jinhee. Nonetheless, Jinhee remained unfazed about it.

This time, Jinhee made to investigate the background of all of her fellow classmates, and from that, she knew that Jieun's family was not better than hers.

"Next time you mess with me, it won't be just a kick."

Although Jinhee's eyes made her feel somewhat frightened, Jieun will be made a laughing stock if she gave up that easily, and taking her pride into consideration, Jieun stood up.

"I'm scared," Jieun voiced out in a mocking tone.

"What are you going to do? Ruin my reputation and force me to leave school like you did with Junghwa's and Hyesook's by using help from your sugar daddy?" Jieun raised her eyebrows.

"Yup, exactly that! Are you ready to leave school and have a tainted reputation?" Jinhee showed an evil smile.
