Reborn: The Unexpected Twist
Chapter 124 - Should Overlook
"Are you planning to do anything to them?" Jinhee questioned.
A thick tension could be noticed by Jinhee in the air, and looking at Taehee's darkened eyes, Jinhee got the answer to her questioned.
Taehee nodded.
"What are you planning to do with them?" Jinhee asked.
"Make them and their family leave South Korea," Taehee answered, "And bankrupt their family business."
What Taehee was planning to do was absolutely scary, and Jinhee could guess that these were not all.
However, Jinhee believed that punishing one's family for one's action was wrong, and she did not want to feel guilty over it for her entire life.
"That's going too far, Taehee-ah," Jinhee spoke out.
Taehee's family was ruthless, and they were needed to be that to stay at the top. Nevertheless, Jinhee did not like that; She did not want to be reason why the innocent suffered.
"And I want to do this on my own," Jinhee voiced out.
Even if she won't be able to give them exactly what they deserve, the feeling of standing up and getting justice for herself felt better than being protected.
Only by falling hundred times will she gradually learn to get stronger.
If she continued to be dependent on Taehee, subconsciously, she'll continue to search for her everywhere, and this was not what Jinhee wanted.
She was dependent on Taehee in her last life, and when Taehee started distancing herself from Jinhee in the latter period of her last life, the pain Jinhee felt was extreme.
She did not want to go through that again.
"I let yourself handle the matter yesterday, and see where it got you to. I'm not listening this time around," Taehee spoke out.
"I don't want others to say that because of you I was able to defeat Jieun. I don't want to be fearful of me because of you. I don't want them to know me as the girl Taehee protects or is close with.
Although you have helped a whole lot, I want to gain a standing of my own. I don't be in your shadows or protected by you. I want people to recognize me because of myself and not because of you," Jinhee vocalised.
These words of her contained feelings from her past life, and the past her never managed to muster up enough energy to voice these words out to Taehee.
In her last life, at some point, she was tired of being known as Taehee's best friend, lackey, follower, stalker, devotee, and loyal slave.
Nevertheless, out of fear that Taehee will break friendship with her, Jinhee never dared to voice those words out.
Taehee sighed with a smile on her face.
"What more can I reply with when you say all those words. If you can't do anything, go violent and beat her up. You won't get exactly kicked out of school for that," Taehee voiced out.
Jinhee just smiled.
Her opinion on Taehee was getting better these days. Being with Taehee was starting to get more comfortable, and her forcefulness was starting to decrease.
That's when, Taehee's phone lit up due to a notification, and as Taehee looked down to see the message, a frown formed upon her face.
Looking at up at Jinhee apologetically, Taehee voiced out, "Sorry, this is important. Will you be alright?"
Although the thought of Taehee leaving did not bring a pleasant feeling within Jinhee, she replied, "Sure, I don't mind."
"Oh yeah! Here is your phone. It was out of charge, and I charged it up," Taehee spoke out whilst handing Jinhee her phone.
Accepting the phone from Taehee, Jinhee gave Taehee a grateful smile. A mere 'thank you' was not enough to convey how much thankful she was towards Taehee.
"Thank you again, Taehee," Jinhee expressed.
"Instead of thanking me, make sure is phone is always charged from next time," Taehee scolded, "This is not something you should overlook."
Jinhee nodded.

Jinhee's phone rang, and since she could move her left hand better than her right one, she bought it upon her face.
Seeing Taeho's name on the screen, Jinhee swiped the screen to pick up the call, and turning on the speaker, she placed her phone beside her.
"How are you doing now? I have heard about the incident earlier," Taeho voiced out.
Jinhee could notice concern in his tone, which made her wonder on what was the reason behind it— her life or his plan failing.
"I'm doing fine now. Some cuts, and my right hand is sprained. That's all," Jinhee answered.
"I apologise for overlooking this. I didn't expect you to be hurt by someone else other than Jinkyung or Youngmi," Taeho spoke out.
"No, it's alright. You're not responsible for that part, and this was also my fault as well. I should stay careful from next time onwards," Jinhee replied.
"At school, Taehee will be there to protect you, and I'll send one of my professional trained bodyguard as your classmate," Taeho spoke out.
"Taehee?" Jinhee questioned, "Won't she be bothered?"
"Instead of being bothered, she'll be enjoying it greatly."
"But I don't think it's alright to trouble her. The bodyguard will be just fine," Jinhee replied.
Jinhee did not have the heart to use Taehee like that. Moreover, recalling how Taehee was hurt due to her in Japan, Jinhee was completely against it.
"Are you sure about it? No matter how incompetent Taehee might seem, she is good at her job, especially when you're involved," Taeho voiced out.
"I think I'll be fine without her," Jinhee spoke out.
"Alright then. I'll assign to you one of my best bodyguards to you."
