Reborn: The Unexpected Twist

Chapter 137 - Bipolar disorder

Letting out a groan, Lee Jinhee opened her eyes. The dream she was having was interrupted by the loud noise.

Gradually adjusting to the light, Jinhee turned her head towards the direction of the sound, and creases appeared between her two eyebrows, mirroring the annoyance she felt.

A mischevious grin sat on Han Taehee's face whilst a blow tickler was held in her hand. The grin grew wider when she notices Jinhee's irritated expression.

"You woke up finally, Jinhee-ah!" Taehee exclaimed.

"You're too loud," Jinhee voiced out, and an irked expression sat on her face.

Where was the graceful and gentle Taehee she once idolized? She wanted to ask this question to the one who knew the accurate answer to this.

The Taehee in front of her was absolutely irritating and embarrassing. Jinhee was pretty sure that if Taehee was like this in her previous life, she wouldn't idolized her.

"What's the time now?" Jinhee questioned whilst trying to sit up.

"It's around midnight now," Taehee answered.

Jinhee let out another yawn and vocalised, "Why are you here at this late then? You even disturbed the amazing dream I was having!"

Taehee pouted.

"You're so rude, Jinhee-ah. I sacrificed my sleep just to get you some midnight snack because I thought you'd be hungry, and here you treat me like this," Taehee spoke out.

Jinhee sighed.

"Well, I would've been more polite if you did not use that blow tickler," Jinhee pointed out.

"I just thought it would be fun to check your reaction," Taehee mumbled.

Jinhee's stomach grumbled at that moment, and embarrassment coloured Jinhee's cheeks red.

'Why did this have to happen now and that too in front of Han Taehee?'

Taehee chuckled and voiced out, "Looks like that stomach of yours is angry. Let's go down and have you something to eat."

As the smell from the spaghetti wafted into her nostrils, Lee Jinhee found herself almost drooling. As Taehee placed down the plate in front of Jinhee, Jinhee stared down at it.

"Don't be shy and dig into it, Jinhee-ah," Taehee voiced out.

Both of them were currently at the dining room. Similar to all other rooms in this mansion, the dining room was aesthetically decorated.

Shades of blue and purple was all around the room. A fancy sapphire coloured vase sat at the middle of the table with white Calla Lilies placed inside of it.

The wall were painted in a shade of lavender, and a light blue crystal chandelier hung above the lining table. Several smaller lights were placed beside it in order to illuminate the room.

On one of the navy blue chair, Jinhee was seated, and pulling out the chair beside her, Taehee took a seat there. A big smile played on her face.

"You cooked it?" Jinhee questioned.

Judging from the smell, Jinhee had a feeling that Taehee cooked it for she had made the same spaghetti for Jinhee in her last life.

Taehee nodded.

"Now, try it and say how it is. This is something I recently learned, and you're first person to taste it," Taehee spoke out.

"So, should I be grateful?" Jinhee asked.

"Definitely. I, Han Taehee, don't cook for others easily," Taehee boasted.

"Isn't that because you're afraid that others will dislike your cooking?" Jinhee teased as she arched her eyebrows.

Taehee pinched Jinhee's nose and voiced out, "Do you want your stomach to grumble again? If not, then start eating quickly."

"Since you insist, I'll start eating then," Jinhee voiced out as she took the fork.

Picking up few strands of spaghetti, Jinhee placed it inside her mouth and found it hard to not moan at the taste.  As expected, Taehee was extremely talented in cooking.

Although Jinhee tried to mind her manners whilst eating, in the end, it took her less than ten minutes to finish the entire plate.

The entire time that Jinhee ate, Taehee stared at her with a small smile on her face. Watching Jinhee enjoy the food she made brought joy to Han Taehee.

Gulping down the water, Jinhee turned her head to look at Taehee and spoke out, "Thanks for the meal."

"So, what do you think of it?" Taehee questioned, "Was it that bad?"

Smirking, Jinhee replied, "Since I was extremely hungry, I'd be happy with anything edible."

Taehee stuck her tongue out and voiced out, "Because it is me, you're saying that. If it was someone else, you would have thanked them if they had fed you something inedible."

"Now, you see how much I dislike you?" Jinhee raised one of the brows.

"You only dislike me? I thought you hated me," Taehee vocalised letting out a laugh afterwards.

With a slight blush coating her cheeks, Jinhee turned to look the other way and said, "Since you gave me edible food, hate changed to dislike."

"So, as long as I continue to feed you, that dislike will change to love?" Taehee questioned— arching her eyebrows.

Turning towards Taehee, Jinhee let out a wide smile and voiced out, "Of course it would. With my opinion of you now, it would take approximately ten thousand meals."

"Ten thousand meals, hmm..."

Taehee pretended to think for a while before stating, "Alright then! Let's fatten you up Jinhee-ah.

If I feed you ten meals a day, it would take me thousand days to make you fall for me, and within three years, your heart will belong to me."

'Ten meals a day? Is she actually crazy?'

Jinhee's eyes widened, and she let out a series of coughs. When it came to Han Taehee, it was absolutely difficult for Lee Jinhee to win.

"Ten meals a day is too much for me, so I can't take you up on the offer. Sorry," Jinhee retorted— rolling her eyes at the end.

"This isn't fair then, Jinhee-ah! You're not even giving me a chance to steal your heart!" Taehee pouted.

"Isn't that because I don't want you to steal my heart?"

"Why? Are you afraid that you'll fall for me hard to the point that you'll never be able to fall out of love?" Taehee raised her eyebrow whilst wearing a smirk on her face.

"Have you gone crazy? Giving you a chance means dealing with your annoyance for a long time, and I'm honestly tired of it," Jinhee said.

"I was quiet at the hospital, but it was you who wanted for me to talk. Now that I talk, you don't want me to.

Are you actually suffering from bipolar disorder, Jinhee-ah? Do you need to visit the doctor? I know a really good doctor."

Ignoring Taehee's words, Jinhee voiced out, "I'm suddenly feeling sleepy. Can I go back to the room?"

"You just woke an hour ago though, Jinhee-ah, and you're already sleepy? Let's go to the swimming pool next."

"Have you gone mad? At this time of the night? You should get some sleep I think," Jinhee voiced out.

"You hurt my feelings, Jinhee-ah," Taehee voiced out, "The swimming pool is fun at this time of the day."
