Reborn: The Unexpected Twist

Chapter 206 - Trying to imply

Stepping into the classroom, Lee Jinhee yawned, and her bag laid on her shoulder. As she walked towards her seat, Jinhee noticed that Youngmi was not present at the class today, and she felt relieved. Seeing Youngmi's face made her feel instantly annoyed.

Walking into her seat, Jinhee opened her phone and saw the recording she had taken from Yeonwoo yesterday. Lee Jinhee let out a sigh.

"What are you planning to do with it?" Taehyun questioned whilst he put a lollipop inside his mouth.

"Nothing, just blackmail Jinkyung at this point, and when enough evidence is gathered against her, I'll ruin her using this," Jinhee voiced out, "Min Family wouldn't spare her if they got to know about it. Only a few more evidence, and Jinkyung is finished. However, before that, she needs to suffer."

Han Taehyun chuckled and vocalised, "Evil Jinhee is so hot that my heart feels attacked everytime she appears."

"Your greasiness is disgusting. Get away from me," Jinhee voiced out whilst scrunching her nose.

Seeing that Taehyun was about to retort, Lee Jinhee immediately turned back, and facing Chaewon, Jinhee questioned, "Chaewon, do you want to hang out after school today?"

After school, Taehyun and Jinhee usually hung out. Nonetheless, Lee Jinhee decided to decrease their alone time together due to how her heart acted towards him. It was too dangerous for Jinhee, and she did not want to end up having a crush on Taehyun.

Hearing Jinhee's words, a pout formed on Taehyun's face. Staring at both Jinhee's and Taehyun's pleading eyes, Chaewon was unable to decide.

Glancing at Taehyun, Jinhee felt annoyed and added, "Chaewon-ah, I really want to spend time with you. So, please don't reject me."

"Ah! Well, uhm, I can spend around twenty to thirty minutes with you. Yeah, only that much. Is that fine?" Chaewon voiced out.

Turning towards Han Taehyun, Jinhee glared at him. This was all because of him. Nonetheless, this was better than nothing, and Lee Jinhee nodded.

"That would work. Let's hang out daily them, Chaewon-ah," Jinhee vocalised.

Chaewon let out an awkward smile and nodded.

"L-Let's do that then."

During the lunch break, Lee Jinhee called Jinkyung out. Both of them were currently at an isolated area in the school, and Shin Soyeon was watching Jinhee from a distance.

"What did you call me here for, Jinhee?" Jinkyung questioned.

Smiling towards Jinkyung, Jinhee stated, "You'll perfectly understand it when you hear this recording."

Lee Jinhee turned on her phone, and swiping across the phone, Jinhee found the recording she was looking for. Staring at Jinkyung, Jinhee pressed on play.

As the recording began to play, creases formed between two of Jinkyung's eyebrows, and as she heard the contents, her eyes widened in fear. Extending her hand, Jinkyung tried to snatch the phone away from Jinhee.

However, Lee Jinhee took a step back and held the phone. Curving her lips to a smirk, Jinhee scoffed and questioned, "What is your opinion on this recording, Jinkyung-ah?"

Lee Jinhee then added, "Your face looks quite gloomy though. What's the matter?"

"Give me your phone, Lee Jinhee!" Jinkyung yelled frantically whilst jumping up to take the phone from Jinhee.

Using her index finger, Jinhee pushed Jinkyung's face away and smiled at her. Opening her mouth, Jinhee then voiced out, "There is a copy of this saved online, so it doesn't matter if you destroy my phone."

Lee Jinkyung groaned in frustration and moved back. Her eyes which glared upon Jinhee made Jinhee feel satisfied, and her lips curved to a smirk.

"Lee Jinhee, what are you planning to do with this?" Lee Jinkyung questioned while letting out a deep breath.

Lee Jinhee shrugged her shoulders and said, "Nothing much. I want to make a deal with you."

Gritting her teeth, Jinkyung spat, "What type of deal!?"

Lee Jinhee smiled and voiced out, "Jinkyung, I would prefer you to act more polite. You never know when my finger might accidently slip and the recording will be shared among all of our classmates."

Stepping closer to Jinkyung, Lee Jinhee held Jinkyung's chin and raised it. Staring straight in Jinkyung's glowering eyes, Jinhee smiled and voiced out, "Would you want that happening?"

Lee Jinhee's tone and words made chills go down Jinkyung's back, and the hair on her body stood up. Lee Jinhee's presence made Jinkyung be on guard all of a sudden, and Jinkyung's eyes widened at the aura Jinhee emitted at that moment.

Involuntarily, Jinkyung found herself nodding.

With a smiling expression, Jinhee moved back and said, "Now that we have established that, I will let you know of the deal."

Taking a deep breath, Jinkyung tried to control in her temper, and she then questioned, "What do you need, Jinhee?"

"Before that, I need you to hand me your phone," Jinhee voiced out.

Lee Jinhee noticed how Jinkyung gripped on to her phone and doubted that she was recording all this. Jinhee could not let that happen.

"Why do you need my phone? I can't just give that to you."

"Just listen to me and hand me your ohone or else this recording…" Jinhee voiced out whilst waving her phone in front of Jinkyung.

Lee Jinkyung sighed, and walking over to Jinhee, she handed Jinhee her phone. Accepting the phone from Jinkyung, Jinhee smiled at her and turned on the phone.

"Password?" Jinhee questioned.

When she saw that Jinkyung was being reluctant, Jinhee raised one of her eyebrows, and Jinkyung hesitantly inserted her fingerprint.

Lee Jinhee opened the home screen and search for the messaging application. Jinhee noticed that Jinkyung deleted all of her texts with Yeonwoo, and after that, she turned off Jinkyung's phone.

Then stepping closer to Jinkyung, Jinhee brought her face closer to Jinkyung's ear and whispered, "I don't want Hyunki to win the competition."

Lee Jinhee made sure that her voice was low to the extent only Jinkyung will be able to hear. Jinhee then stepped back and saw Jinkyung's widened eyes.

Winking towards Jinkyung, Jinhee said, "I am pretty sure you understand what I am trying to imply. Good luck!"

Waving a bye towards Lee Jinkyung, Lee Jinhee turned her back on her and began walking away. A satisfied smile sat on her face.

"W-Wait!" Jinkyung exclaimed.

However, Jinhee did not turn back. She was sure that Jinkyung understood what she was trying to imply. Lee Jinhee did not wish for any harm to come upon Hyunki. However, in order to gather evidences against Jinkyung, Jinhee had to use him as a pawn.

'Sorry, Hyunki, for what will come. However, I assure you that this will be over soon.'
