Reborn: The Unexpected Twist

The words earlier from Lee Dowon circulated inside Jinhee's mind, making her feel more surprised each second. How did she not suspect about the entire thing in her last life?

Lying on the soft bed, Jinhee's eyes stared at the chandelier above in her room. Min Yoojoon— that was the name of her father. A unique type of thrill and anxiousness rose within Jinhee's chest at the thought of confronting him.

She was curious to know why he abandoned her and her mother. Did he not want to acknowledge her as his daughter? This made her be hesitant on the matter of meeting him for Jinhee didn't want to experience what it felt to be neglected by one's parents one more time.

Staring at her mom's photo in her hand, Jinhee had to comment that her mother was truly a beautiful woman, who bore a lot of similarity to her. She too showed resemblance to Hyunbin.

Could Hyunbin's parent know something on the matter? When Jinhee asked grandfather Dowon on meeting Min Yoojoon, she was denied as her grandfather thinks that Yoojoon doesn't deserve to meet her.

The trail of thoughts were interrupted by the ringing phone. Placing down the photo frame down on the bed beside her, Jinhee took the phone and received the call after glancing at the caller's ID.

"Is there something you needed, Jaehyun?" Jinhee asked nonchalantly.

At first, she wanted to avoid picking up the call, but she gave up that thought for he could be contacting her regarding something important and she shouldn't be affected by the fact that he kissed someone.

"You're the one I'm chasing after," Jaehyun voiced out. His resolute tone and words caught Jinhee by surprise.

"I am sorry but—"

Interrupting Jinhee, Jaehyun spoke out, "Kissing Taehee disgusts me, and ask her for further details."

Before Jinhee could open her mouth to say something, the call was hanged up my Jaehyun. Jinhee felt irked that she wasn't able to say something.

Figuring Jaehyun's words were hard. Does this mean the kiss between Jaehyun and Taehee was a misunderstanding, and he doesn't want to kiss her? Or could it be that Jaehyun wants to play with Jinhee's feelings?

'Don't ponder on this matter, Jinhee. Don't. Do you remember how you promised to not love Jaehyun in this life? Move on, Jinhee-ah, move on if you don't end up in that pathetic state like the last life.'

Before the classes start, Jinhee had to go back to her dorm room to get the books for today, and facing Taehee was something she dreaded at this moment.

A part of her wanted to ask for clarification from Taehee whilst the other part of her insisted that why should she care on this matter.

With the conflict rising within Jinhee, she opened the door to her room, praying earnestly that Taehee would be in the bathroom or somewhere else other than in the room.

However, as Jinhee opened the door, the fate wasn't by her side, and a figure jumped on Jinhee, hugging her tightly. This action caught Jinhee by surprise.
