The reason is very simple. The protagonist is too rich. In this case, if you continue to write about it, it will be all kinds of acquisitions and various transactions to make money. It is meaningless and not fun.

Just say that after the Plaza Accord, the protagonist is worth tens of billions of dollars. It would be really boring for me to write some plots that make billions of Hong Kong dollars.

So it ends when it’s time to end, even if the character is redefined later and the story is written again after 1985 or 1990.
