Regressed Reincarnation: How to Escape a Fantasy World!!
Chapter 115 - Prelude To War#2
PHANTASOS' POV:-
After being thrown by Lilith, I am currently in the air as I fly away in the direction where Alfheim's main city is. I turn my head towards the direction where Lilith is, anger takes over me before it slowly fades away as I calm down.
'I can deal with this, after all of it is over. For now, let's contribute to the war.' My eyesight shifts to the place where an army of Devils and Demons are arriving. After calculating the distance and direction, I plan my next move after I land on the ground.
After a few more moments of falling, I reach the city of Alfheim. Channeling mana into my feet, I prepare for a sharp landing.
'Almost...almost...hupp'
-boom
'Hupp...fushhhhh…' I land on the ground and slide for a few distance before stopping against a wall. I then immediately push against the wall and start moving towards the war area but then...a few people come right in front of my vision.
Looking at them, my body instinctively jumps back and a defensive stance is formed. My eyes reach their faces and a slightly shocked expression takes over me before a calculating one takes over.
"Ladros," I speak with anger surging in my body. The Devil, who ordered an attack on us in Eros Town. The one who captured Lia and the one behind the whole plan of conquering Eslaine or whatnot. The very same Ladros is right in front of me, looking at me with an expressionless face as if he has lost all his will to live. He then looks at me and-
-Whoosh
'uhhhkk' He holds me with his hand on my neck and lifts me up with the same expressionless face.
-Slash
Before I could do anything, someone interfered and cut Ladros' hand and took me a few steps away from him. I look at the person, King Geralt, standing right beside me with a serious expression. His eyes...are concentrated in a direction behind Ladors. I followed them but couldn't sense anything. All I see is Ladros standing there with an expressionless face as he picks up his hand and joins it back. His arms instantly connects and then he looks at me before speaking,
"What is your name?"
Confused at his question, I looked at him trying to understand him. 'Just what is he getting at?'
He then looks at me with a slight smile before asking,"What is your name?"
Well, from what I heard, he is a master of soul binding magic. Asking my name in the middle of the battle, is he really a fool? I couldn't help but think in that way as I observed him. Tension is growing with every passing second.
'Why is the King not making any moves? It should be easy for him to do so. Is there anything else that I am missing here?' My eyes searched for the possible dangers present around us, especially in the direction where the Elf King is looking.
As if to answer my search call, another entity comes out of the space behind Ladros. As soon as I saw that entity, my body felt numb before I took a step back. I am genuinely scared, call it an instinct of mine...but that entity is dangerous...as much dangerous as the King beside me.
"To what do we have the honour of the Demon King Arma here?" The King speaks and my eyes widen as I look at him once again.
I tighten my hands and take out my mana sword from my dimensional space and prepare for possibly my hardest fight yet.
Closing my eyes I mutter, '[Domain magic: Light of Simplicity]'

ICELOS' POV:-
Moving towards the area where the enemy is arriving, all of us move at full speed. I observe the serious faces of others as I run along with them. I would be lying if I said that I am not scared at all. I am scared, yes, but...there is someone watching over all of us. Someone strong enough to wash the war away all by himself. As long as he is there, there is no reason to not to go all out in this war.
-Booooom
My eyes then turn in the direction where a loud sound came from, observing the area I see a white coulred dome made up of Light magic. My eyes turns even more serious as I realise what does that pertains to,
'Corey is facing a strong opponent. Should I join him or will it be okay to leave him all alone?' I pondered over the choices as I observed the army in front of me and the dome in the City.
Lucy comes behind me and speaks as she reads my thoughts, "Remove Morpheus from the equation and then think. Treat it as a real war, I know things are quite different from what they look like, but for now-
-Swish Swish Swish
Three arrows flew straight in front of me and then got distributed into a hundred each and hit a certain Devil. The Devil falls a few steps back and observes the direction from where the arrows came from.
I look at the 3rd Branch of Alfheim, Yavanna, standing there as she points her bow at the Sin Devil of Sloth, Belphegor, with a serious face before releasing another barrage of arrows, which he dodges but somehow they once again hit him. He stands back up and puts his hands on his neck and clicks his neck before glaring at Yavanna.
'Shouldn't he be dead? Or at least not be in a perfect condition...such as this?' Confused at this sudden new change I look at him with an analysing gaze.
"But for now, choose only those decisions which you would have taken without his presence," Lucy continues her speech without even looking at Yavanna and Belphegor. Her eyes are concentrated at the Army that has almost reached us.
I then nod at her, before putting all my mana into my legs and dashing towards the direction where Corey is.
'Let's hope you don't end up taking my brother's help before I arrive there,' I thought as I dash in that direction.
