LIGHT'S POV

The mid demon is attacking Chase and the other three demons are hesitating and moving with caution.

Chase is dodging his attacks skillfully.

'They are still underestimating us.' A smile formed on my lips as I saw the situation but...

Chase was shivering a bit...the others are scared too. Looking at the situation it was easy to guess the reason.

'First kill, huh' I muttered

'At least they are doing much better than when I killed first' I thought as I recalled my past a bit.

I analysed the situation and...

"Amanda, increase my agility. Then focus on Anna. Anna take out the left demon, he has a space-related ability. So take him out first. Don't let the middle demon touch you, he has paralysis ability. Leave the third one to me. It has a binding ability.", I spoke to Amanda and Anna.

They were confused a bit but still nodded.

" Corey and Linda, support Chase. Chase, the devil is strength type. Just dodge and keep him engaged.", I gave orders to Chase, Corey and Linda.

'This should put us at a stalemate.'

Amanda chanted a spell," [Light magic:Aura of agility]."

My speed increased 50%

'Adding me to the equation', I couldn't help but smile a little.

"Attack the mid devil's legs when he approaches me or Anna", I said to Corey.

I ran towards the lesser devil, taking the dagger in my hand.

Anna being faster than me reached the left demon and kicked him, pushing him away.

The other demons attacked Anna but she skillfully dodged and reached behind the binding devil.

She kicked the binding demon in my direction and ran towards the space demon.

The binding demon had its face towards Anna.

I take out my dagger and positioned it in my front.

The demon got stabbed by the dagger.

("So you do have talent in runes. That's amazing." Said, aunt Sophia amazed by the results. Mother and father looked ecstatic too. This was the first time I saw my mother as happy as she was.

"Before that aunt Sophia, I have a request to make," I asked aunt Sophia in a serious voice.

She looked at me then...

"What?" asked aunt Sophia curiously.

"I want you to make this for me. I want to at least be able to protect myself and not be a burden on those who are around me. At worse, I want to at least be able to run away from the situation, if I can't handle it.", I continued with the same serious tone and gave her a paper with the description of the type of dagger I want.

She looked at the contents, then smiled a little...

" Since I am taking you as my disciple, at least I can do this much for you," she then started humming and walking slowly towards the training area.)

I activated my tiny mana in my fingers and sent it to the dagger. By some chain reaction, the dagger started absorbing all the energy around it. It started taking the energy from the demon. The demon started twitching in pain and slowly started withering. Soon his life force ended.

The other demons were shocked looking at the turn of events.

The mid demon looked at me, then changed his target from Chase to me.

I threw the dagger in the air and positioned myself for a kick.

Corey attacked the demon's leg disturbing the demon's balance.

He tried dodging left but Chase kicked him from the same side. The dagger soon hit the demon's right arm and started taking out his life force.

It wasn't as effective as with the lesser demon as he was still able to move a little. He tried taking out the dagger but Chase hit the dagger deeper into his right arm. Corey hit the demon at his back with a fireball.

'That should do', I muttered as the demon was getting weaker as time passed.

I looked at the other side and saw Anna was done with the space demon too.

But...

Anna had one of her eyes on blue fire and her both fists covered with blue fire. Also...

"Is she losing control?" asked Chase as he saw Anna releasing a massive amount of magicules from her body.

"No...its enlightenment", muttered Corey a bit shocked.

Enlightenment, something that occurs generally when you are in a deeply concentrated state, reach an Epiphany or face a life and death situation.

Your proficiency in that field increases explosively.

For a fixed period your body will release all that was excessively stored in your body over the years, purifying your body. The only backlash is the pain that comes for the next 24hours after the effect ends. But for the duration of effect, you are invincible.

I then look at the last paralysis devil. He was horrified, his whole body was shaking, he took out a scroll muttered something, Anna appeared behind him. He tore the scroll, that was the last thing he did as Anna removed his head from his body.

" He sent a message to someone," she said looking at the torn scroll.

Then I looked left...

".."

"f**k", I couldn't help but curse...

A red fire dragon was flying in the sky, the area of the forest was burning...and most importantly

" Time Dilation", Amanda muttered.

"I can feel the nature and life around me over a large area...that told me that the time here was faster than outside...by at least 10times." She continued a bit scared.

"Mother probably is fighting outside, I am going there", said Corey and I nodded at it

Suddenly...

Someone attacked us...another mid devil...he already had used his transformation, a wolf monster...' agility type, uh...' I thought while watching him...

-Boom

Anna came in between," You guys go, I'll take care of him.", she declared in a fierce tone...looks like she was angry at her previous weakness.

"Amanda and Linda stay here and cover her. I won't take no for an answer. I trust you Anna but no risks with your life. I won't allow that in my presence." I spoke with a bit dominant voice.

"Okay," she said as she bit her lips.

She wanted to say something but I stopped her.

"Corey and Chase you guys go, I'll be following you," I said as we ran towards the fire dragon which was slowly tilting his head.

ANNA'S POV:-

'It started hurting a bit, huh?'

My body was burning slowly but...

Amanda is going to be a great mage.

Her healing helps me cope up with the pain.

The mid demon was growling at me, observing me, he then looked in the direction where Light went...that bastard does he thinks he can win against me.

I channelled mana to my arms and legs. My left eye had mana vision, I could see the flow of mana in the air and the magicules that surround us.

Then I looked at the demon in front of me...he didn't have a single ounce of mana. Even the mana around him seems to be decreasing.

'Demon energy', I muttered.

"Let's get started then", I spoke as I jumped in the direction of the demon. He too jumped towards me.

I punched him...' huh?' he was pushed away...did I overestimate him?

No...let's keep hitting him.

I jumped again and attacked him from the left...right...up...down...

I kept hitting him...

over....and over... and over...

How many times has it been?... I looked at him...he was smashed...my hands didn't have any fire in them...my mana was gone...I looked at Amanda...she looked scared...of not the demon but...me...then.... everything turned black...

LIGHT'S POV:-

'She should win...with that much power she was releasing...it should be an easy win.' Leaving Amanda and Linda was a necessary decision, the fight at mother's place isn't something they can handle. Honestly, I would have liked it more if Corey and Chase both stayed there too but me going alone would have been suspicious.

As I passed a certain point I found the effect of time dilation ending.

Then I suddenly heard a shout from the front,"" MOTHER""

And then everything turned black....
