The next day, today I leave for the Academy.

I looked up at the house where the main character of game lived as I basked in the sunlight. In the main character had no parents and even this house actually belonged to the village chief. Although I wasn’t aware of it, the chief seems to have helped me out quite a lot. I have to remember to thank him properly.

The packing was already finished. By the time I got home yesterday everything was already placed neatly by the door. This morning I was curious about what was inside and dug through it, there were a lot of daily necessities inside that weren’t originally part of the game.

Since everything was already finished I decided I should go say goodbye to Hannah but when I looked she was already coming this way. What a coincidence. But….why is she carrying that giant suitcase?

[T/N: it’s luggage, it doesnt specify suitcase. But big or giant luggage sounded dumb to me and I couldn’t think of a better way to say it.]

” Good morning Zephyrus.”

“Good morning, you look chipper this morning? But what’s with all that? Going somewhere?”

“I’m entering the Academy today as well so, I thought we could go together.”

“…….Eh?”

Academy.

The place were 16 year olds go to get jobs. The place where 16 year olds study their jobs. Where 16 year olds go to master a job and learn to use it.

In other words………

“So, what you’re saying is…. Hannah, you’re 16!? How are you this small and already 16!?”

“Is there something wrong with being small!? And why didn’t you know this!? We’ve been friends since childhood!”

Sorry, I had no idea. Sorry I was so concerned about how small you were… Although, it’s not like I dislike small girls.

In I did set out with a few others but I didn’t pay much attention to it. I never saw Hannah at the academy so I assumed she was just a character unique to the hidden quest.

The game should have mentioned her more if we were childhood friends, what a shame. Wait, what if this is specific to the real version. Could a special background have been added where we are childhood friends because it’s real life this time?

“Why are you being quiet all of a sudden? Am I talking too much?”

“Huh? Oh my bad. Also, I don’t dislike that you’re small.”

“W-wha- I- I didn’t ask that! Uh, uhm let’s go! We have to go see the chief.”

“OK, let’s go then.”

Hannah seemed to grow shy if I followed behind her, how cute. So walking beside her we quickly made our way to the chief’s house. A carriage heading to the academy was already out front.

I lowered my head towards the chief to thank him for everything but all he said was “have fun.”

I will, I plan to enjoy it fully.

I boarded the carriage with Hannah and we departed. Apparently the only people going from the village were Hannah and I. Hannah must find talking to me interesting because she sat right next to me the entire way.

I managed to relax somehow and enjoy the scenery. This entire scene only took 30 seconds in the game but since this is real it will probably take longer. Although I forgot to ask how long.

“Hey, how long will it take to get there?”

“Huh. U-hm.. I heard it takes around ten days or so.”

Oh ok just…. Wait did she say days? 10 days!? Are you serious!? That’s too long! Someone give me a smartphone or a game console for this please. I’m begging you!

10 days later.

For people in the modern world going without a smartphone for 10 days is said to be quite difficult. Honestly, it was torture. As such, I will be eternally grateful for the distraction that Hannah provided.

“It’s OK now Zephyrus, we’re almost there. I can see the academy now so be patient just a bit longer.”

Hannah was speaking in a polite tone. This should indicate what kind of state my mind was in.

“Finally. This torture is almost over, it feels like I’m escaping hell.”

Her voice was like the gospel to me. She had pulled me back from the edge many time, although it looked more like a loli comforting and idiot. But it can’t be helped, boredom can kill in the modern world! And I seriously thought that’s how I would go, death by boredom. Why was there no skip button!!!?

“Hahahahahahahaha, I’ve come home!”

When the carriage finally arrived at the academy I was so relieved that I screamed and laughed as I disembarked.

I recovered instantly once we arrived. The main event, I’m finally here.

“Zephyrus, don’t shout its embarrassing. Come on we have to unpack in the dormitory. ”

However Hannah didn’t share my enthusiasm and dragged me off. It was frustrating, I wanted to bask in the radiance of the academy some more. But, if a goddess did exist I was pretty sure it was in the form of a loli, so I didn’t complain as her grace pulled me towards the dorms.
