Mio was currently hung by two chains that were attacked to her arms. She was hanging against the wall while Ina state of unconsciousness. There was a purple carpet laid out on the floor leading to a golden throne. On the throne, a withered looking old man was seated. This man was a member of the Cardinal Sins, the Sin of L.u.s.t. He is also the lowest Ranked member of the Demon Council with rank of Marquis, Zolgear. Zolgear was a tall man who wore a red jacket with yellow-padded shoulders. He had pointy ears, white hair with a matching beard as well as purple eyes along with dark horns protruding from the sides of his head, just above his ears. His skin was dark and wrinkled. He looked like a very old man, who had withered a bit.

"I know who you are. You must a servant of the Current Demon Lord! You kidnapped me, so that he can take my power!" Mio tried activating he flowers, but she failed. These chains restricted her feomy using her magic.

"Wrong." Suddenly the sound of a male echoed throughout the room. To Mio this voice was very familiar. It was a voice that frequently appeared in her nightmares.

"That voice..."

"While certainly, I'm a servant of His Majesty, the Demon Lord, Leohart, but unlike His Majesty, I'm not just after Wilbert's power." The source of the voice then got up from his throne and walked up to Mio as he stood in front of her.

"Zolgear! I knew it was you! Release me at once!"

"My my. Every time I meet you, you seem to grow more beautiful. Even in your anger you don't lose your charm, instead your charm becomes further enhanced."

"Shut up! You'll pay for ruining my life! I'll make you pay for killing my parents!"

Zolgear slowly walks towards as he gravitates his hands towards her large b.r.e.a.s.ts. But the moment he was about to touch them, he was interrupted as his hands stopped eholding nothing but air.

"Zolgear." Maria suddenly said as she kneeled in felt of Zolgear with an orb in her hands. She was currently in her s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s form.

"Yes, Maria. What is it? I believe I ordered you stand by for now, didn't I?"

"I came to report that there's an urgent message from the Royal Castle. Here, it is." Maria then handed over the orb in her hand to Zolgear.

"From the Royal Castle?" Zolgear took the orb in his hands and immediately a voice started resounding from the orb as it slightly glowed in a blue light.

"Can you hear me, Zolgear?"

"Yes, sir. It's a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to hear from you. Your Majesty, Leohart."

"Zolgear, where are you right now? I cannot see you."

" In accordance to Your Majesty's imperial decision, I've confirmed my private residence. Due to fluctuations in the magic waves, a portion of the barrier is growing unstable." Zolgear had no clue that the barrier had been destroyed by Basara.

"I have received word that we lost track of where Mio Naruse is."

"Ever since you dismissed from active observation, that hasn't been my concern."

"Of course. I'd like you to come to the Royal Castle, right now."

"It sounds as if there must be a sudden matter."

"We have uncovered ruin dating to the old first war between the Demons and Gods. We'd like you to join the inspection."

"Why would you want me?"

"It involves Ancient Magic. Your area of expertise, so you're the best fix. Is that a problem?"

"No, of course not. Your Majesty, I will make my way there at once."

"I'll be waiting...." Afterwards the glow from the orb disappeared along with Leohart's voice.

"What'll you do now Your Excellency?" Zest asks.

"As young as he is, he's still the Demon Lord. No matter, it's a minor issue. Wait here Mio, as soon as I return, you will be all mine." Zolgear then began walking away from the place along with Zest following behind him. After Zolgear's presence disappears from his domain, Basra confirms that Zolgear had teleported away to the Demon Realm. Basra knew that it would take more than an hour or two for Zolgear to return, that's more than enough time. Since Mio is safe for now, Basara secretly made his deeper inside the palace until he reached the Dungeon. It was a cold and dark place with lots of jail cells. Inside these cells he could see n.a.k.e.d women chained up to the walls. Some had died, while some had become skeletons. The ones among them who were alive didn't have light in their eyes. The only thing reflected in their eyes was despair. They were like living corpses. They had burn marks and deep scars and wound sober their bodies as they lay n.a.k.e.d. All these women were extremely beautiful but the scars on their bodies were absolutely hideous and nauseating.

For the first time in his second life, Basara had an urge to vomit and cry at the same time. In his previous life as Ethan, he had gotten this same urge thousands of times but it was a first in his second life. But Basara willed himself to be calm, but he couldn't stop a single drop of test from dropping his cheeks. He started thinking about he should do with these women as he focused Don his connection with the Void for any answers. But he didn't get any answer and Basara wasn't really surprised by that fact. He would kill all these women painlessly and liberate their souls from this intense suffering and he would offer a funeral to their bodies, wishing them well for the afterlife. Basara knew by experience that it was better to die than suffer such tortures and his connection also told him that his decision was correct. But Basra didn't want to wrong these women. He tried calling out to them, but none of them responded in any way. He was able to verify that almost every single one of them had been 'broken' by Zolgear. He had detected their d.e.s.i.r.e to die and without wasting any time, Basara converged his domain on all of them and he snapped his fingers. A shockwave was released from his fingers that was directly released into their bodies and it severed their spinal nerve, killing them all in an instant without pain. Afterwards Basara burned all of the bodies including the ones he killed and the ones that were already dead as he joined his hands and offered them all a proper funeral while he prayed for their happiness.

Then Basara began walking further inside the Dungeon until he reached the last cell. Inside this cell was a woman who looked very similar or even younger than Maria. If was her mother whom Basara had come to rescue.
