"The mission you gave to Yuki was to observe Mio Naruse as a B Rank Observation Target, right? Why did the three of you suddenly elevate Mio Naruse to an S Rank Elimination Target without any good reason?" The atmosphere in the room immediately tensed up due to Basara's question and the Elder became silent with cold sweat running down their foreheads. Basara has always been someone who would never take action without any appropriate reasons. He would always follow the rules no matter what. For Mio to be elevated to an S Rank Elimination Target, she would've to do something like killing a lot of innocent people or something very dangerous. In short, Mio's existence needs to become a large threat for her to become an Elimination Target. But till today she has never hurt a single innocent civilian. There's no basis for her upgrade from an Observation to an Elimination Target and that too of the S Rank. Atsuta took a deep breath to calm himself down and spoke.

"Basara, you already know about Mio Naruse. She's the daughter of the late Demon Lord Wilbert. Before dying Wilbert sealed his powers inside her. She could very well become a major threat in the future. If we don't eliminate her now, in the near future she might end up doing something that would endanger the lives of several innocents. And if the demons get their hands on her, they would definitely use her and her power to destroy the Hero Clan."

"I asked you to give me reasons, not excuses. Mio Naruse is in Tokyo, the same city where I'm currently residing in. I'm already affiliated with her and she's even living at our house."

"""What?!""" All three of them became shocked when they heard that Mio was living together with Basara.

"Yes, she's currently living alongside me and not just that, I and dad even adopted her as my younger sister. I already have a complete understanding of her character and personality. Mio is a nice and kind hearted person, who doesn't have any sort of malice in her heart. She, herself, is a victim of several situations. She would never do anything that would harm an innocent, she can't even b.a.r.e thinking about hurting an innocent civilian. And as far as the Demon Realm getting their hands on her, I'm the one protecting Mio. If the demons try to do anything I'll personally deal with them."

"Basara, we trust you wholeheartedly. We know that you would never put your faith in anyone who can't be trusted. But what if Mio Naruse loses control over her power? If that happens the entire city of Tokyo would be in danger." Fuji said.

"You needn't worry about that. It's only been a few days since I've been living with Mio. I've grown a geta liking and attachment to her. In the first place, I won't let a situation arise where Mio would lose control over her powers. And...if somehow Mio ends up hurting an innocent, she'll be punished accordingly. Everyone is equal in the eyes of law. Every crime Mio does, she'll be punished according to the severity of her crime. But...if a situation ever arises where she might be a threat to the lives of innocents.... I'll....eliminate...her before anyone has to die and I'll also take full responsibility." Basara had to say these words with great difficulty. He didn't simply grow a liking to Mio, now he'd genuinely fallen in love with her. He couldn't abandon her nor could he even think about hurting her. But if she truly becomes a threat endangering the lives of others, then Basara wouldn't hesitate. Because of his own personal interests and d.e.s.i.r.es, he couldn't put other people's lives in danger and besides Mio would be more than willing to die if she ever knew that she was a threat to other people's lives. But Basara would never let things develop to such a state. With his powers there isn't any situation within the current record that he couldn't solve. And even if Mio did lose control and did something unforgivable, Basara could simply go back in time with his Space-Time magic and change everything.

"Alright, Basara. If you're personally willing to handle this situation, then there's no reason to feet over for any longer." Kumano said while stroking his beard. Atsuta and Fuji also nodded at his words, giving their consent.

"But there's something that annoys me. Didn't you think for once that eliminating Mio would cause a war with The Demon Realm. Both the Current Demon Lord Faction and Moderate Faction of the Demon Realm are desperately trying to get their hands on Mio. As a result, even if the Demon Realm is on the verge of a civil war, what if both Factions decide dot join forces and launch a war on the Hero Clan. Didn't you think that when you were trying to eliminate Mio, you were also starting a war of the Heir Clan with the Demon Realm. How many Heroes do you think would've died if something like that happened? The percentage of a Civil War occuring in the Demon Realm after Mio's death or a war being launched don the Demon Realm are 95% and 5%. "Did you think that a war wouldn't be a problem since the Hero Clan had me and my father on it's side?! Even if we would've won the war, how many people do you think would've died?! How many casualties would've been there from our side and their side?!! How many innocents would've died?! I know that Heroes like you have some bias against the Demons that all of them are evil and disgusting, but the same can be said for us human beings as well. There are bad and good humans in this world and in the same way there's are good and bad demons. There are probably several demons who are completely innocent people, what if those Innocents died because of a war between the Heroes and Demons?!!!" This time a massive pressure descended upon the Elders as they were forced to may on the ground with their backs facing the ceiling while their bones threatened to shatter into pieces. Basara took a deep breath to calm himself down and reduced the pressure so that the Elder scan it back up but he didn't remove it entirely as he said in a commanding tone "If I hadn't stopped Takashi and Kurumi, then Mio would've died. Because of your actions, the three of you put the lives of the several innocents and the safety of the Hero Clan in jeopaedy. If something like this happens ever again, I will exile the three of you from the Hero Clan entirely and depending on the severity of the situation, I might even execute the three of you. I also warn you to eliminate this bias from your heart about the demons. Such baseless hatred will only lead to the downfall of the Hero Clan in the future. This is my first and final warning to you as the Supreme Commander of the Hero Clan and I won't accept any objections. Remember that if you dare go against my orders, the consequences will be brutal.
