Reincarnation Monarch

Lesson 229: Protecting the King

"Well, how big is that Audine?

Delkia inquired about the eating mood.

Gaius replied with a laugh.

"Right, double... maybe triple..."

Delchia surprised, her eyes wide and round.

"Triple?! Is that true?!"

Gaius answered, thinking only a little and then again.

"Right. I think there's probably three times that. The structure of the city is different in the first place."

"The structure of the city? That sounds like a tough talk. Well, good. How do you say it's different?

"Uh-huh. This Alexandria has a clear border, doesn't it?

"Borders?"

"Yes. Look, it's obvious where the city's off, isn't it?

Gaius said, pointing out of the city of Alexandria.

Delchia finally understood what it meant and nodded.

"Oh, you know what? Right. It's clear. There's nothing outside the city. A house is rarely built, but it's clearly out of the city."

"Yes, I mean, there's a clear line from here called Alexandria."

"Hmm, so?

Delkia encouraged me to stay ahead of the conversation.

Gaius nodded with a smile and moved on.

"By contrast, Odine has a vague line."

"Well, you say it goes on everywhere?

"Yeah, well, I think there's a division from here to here for once. But there's no such thing as a division, and it feels like more and more houses are being built and spread."

"Well, even more."

"Yeah. That's because the first city structure I said was different in the first place."

"Hmm, funny. Explain it."

Gaius laughed a lot.

"I get it. Uh... As I was saying, Alexandria is the king's capital."

Gaius changed and said.

Delkia nodded silently.

Gaius kept talking.

"The essence of the city is to protect the king."

Delchia looked diagonally and thought for a while.

"... Isn't that natural? If there is a king, it is to build a city to protect the king."

Gaius nodded.

"Right. Delkia's right, of course."

Delkia nodded silently.

Gaius kept talking when he made sure there was no inquiry.

"But Audine's not. There's no king there."

"So who's there?

"Pope. I have a pope."

"What is a pope?

To Delkia's inquiry, Gaius told him not to wear it.

"Lowenglin's national religion, the highest ranking of Zexism."
