Reincarnation of the Cheater

'That sounds like an amazing skill that can be upgraded even further. I might be able to upgrade it to unlimited mana regen or something.'

[That upgrade isn't available for the "Spirit Healing" skill as the system decided that since unlimited mana was in the cheat pool it won't be available until pulled with a cheat ticket.]

'Understandable have a nice day.'

"Bell, let's head down to the Boss room. We should be ready to retreat at a moments notice. If it is too much for us to handle I'll be the bait so you guys retreat ahead of me and bring back up as soon as possible." Finn says with a serious face. I understand that he may feel responsible but he should feel responsible for me. All of us here should be able to take care of themselves.

After taking in his statement I think more about ways of retreat. I can use my word magic to have any effect I want as long it is one word. The word retreat would probably just enhance my ability to retreat or something so I should think of something else. Using retreat is a no go since I can't be sure of its effects, teleport would probably take only me but I may be able to use it on other people. I decided to try writing the word teleport in the air with magic tracing my finger. As the magic concentrates on my finger and continues to flow into my finger I try to write out the word teleport. As I get halfway through the word the magic becomes unstable and disperses into the surroundings. Am I missing something in trying to use teleport? It surprisingly didn't use up too much mana but that may be because I didn't get to complete the word so I should be prepared to do that. As I try to write the word again this time I think of a location, the Guild's receptionist desk. This place would probably be the most useful in getting a report done quickly and have a second team come in for backup.

"I brought you guys here while you were touching me so if I was to try and reverse the array we would have to be in physical contact. It shouldn't be impossible but I don't think that the Goblin Lord would let us go through with it peacefully. I would need cover for an unknown amount of time and I don't want to risk that." Finn says while thinking for a while as Shin gets up and gets ready to go.

"This dungeon has changed for some reason, it may a change due to the concentration of mana but it also may be because of outside interference. Think about it these goblins are way too strong to be caused by the change in mana around the area. The mana in the area has been changing recently and we just had that spike in mana a couple of years ago but this is too sudden for monsters of this kind to be created." Shin says after thinking our situation over. He's right, these monsters are clearly different than what they should have been, they even had skills from another world which couldn't be ranked by the world. I was shocked as I heard of the powerful skills and as I stole them I felt changes in my soul that ranged from a cooling feeling to enlargement of the soul.

Hearing Shin's reasoning Finn stops in place and has a sudden realization. He puts his hand over his mouth and looks over towards me. "There's no way. That can't be true." He says trying to convince himself otherwise.

"What, why are you looking at me like that?" I say trying to question his rambling. He isn't suggesting that this has to do with me being transported here from Earth right? There's no way it's been like a month or so and the monsters are only changing now.

"It either has to be your arrival in this world that has some kind of effect on the mana or it may be the apple that you have. The apple gives off a unique mana response so it may have mutated the dungeon's mana as it came into contact with it." Finn says as he looks towards me with an I told you so smirk.

"That may be the case so if I transport the apple away with my magic would the dungeon return to its normal state?" I use word magic to transfer the apple to my room at the Inn. As I activated the word and sent the apple to my room nothing changed and I still get a bad feeling from the stairs at the end of the room.

"It didn't change anything so it is either a problem with me, the mana in the area, or outside interference." I say after concluding it wasn't the result of the apple. It may have a unique mana response but it was in my inventory so it shouldn't have affected anything. I had a hunch and it seemed that I was right, the apple had nothing to do with it.

"Well then, let's head down the stairs and confront this Dungeon's boss." Shin says as he takes lead towards the stairs. They seem to think that this dungeon boss will be extremely strong and we won't make it out of this so they are trying to keep their cool.

As we proceed down the stairs I keep getting a feeling that I may need no use some extreme measures to make it through this one. I may have to try using word magic to reverse the Golbin Lord's time until he disappears just like the Golbin King. I may not be getting experience for that move but it is a life saver.
