Chapter 24: Chapter 24 – My Wife, You’re So Sweet

After ending the deep and passionate kiss, Bai Siyu leaned against the wall on his elbows and stared at Ji Anyao’s slightly swollen and red lips in satisfaction. They were glistening and alluring.

Looking at her alluring lips, he wished that he could get intimate with her passionately.

“My wife, you’re so sweet.”

“Don’t spout nonsense. Who are you calling your wife!?”

“We’ve already slept together. What else do I call you?”

“You’ve slept with so many women, do you call all of them your wives? Hah… I wouldn’t dare to be your wife.”

“I’ve only slept with you.”

Ji Anyao pushed him away in disgust and squatted by the edge of the bed, all huddled up. She pulled up the duvet before stretching her fair, long, and slim arm to push him away.

“My bag! Didn’t we agree yesterday that if I stay with you for one night, you will return everything to me? Is the heir of the esteemed Bai Group trying to go back on his word?”

Bai Siyu raised his eyebrows and was not bothered by her words.

“What you want is not here. They’re at Vieras Hotel. I’ll go back to the hotel after 7pm, you can come and get it then.”

With a look of bewilderment on her face, Ji Anyao remained apprehensive about him.

“Do you think I’d go to that hellhole again?”

“It’s up to you. It’s not that I don’t want to give the item to you but rather, you’re the one who doesn’t want it…”

Bai Siyu retracted his hand and moved away. He adjusted his clothes and tried to leave.

Biting her lip and looking at the swollen side of his face, Ji Anyao couldn’t help but ask, “Don’t you intend to cover that mark on your face? By going out like this… wouldn’t you be too eye-catching?”

It wasn’t that she cared about his pride. She wasn’t bothered about his wellbeing at all. However, she was the one who left that mark on his face after all. If Bai Siyu were to go out like this and get caught by the paparazzi, they might make a huge fuss out of it again. She had gotten into enough trouble the past few days and if she were to get involved in this, she would not have peace again!

She raised her hand and touched her cheek, only to find that there was still some burning pain. Bai Siyu smiled coldly and glanced at her with raised eyebrows.

“Didn’t you hit me rather smoothly just now? Are you scared now?”

“I… I just thought that you were the one who laced my drink at that time. Well, blame it on yourself for talking about drug-rape out of the blue… Of course, I’d jump to conclusions! You have your foul mouth to blame…”

“Yeah, anyway, I’m just a pervert and a beast to you. Whatever I do is wrong.”

Finding there to be something amiss with his words, Ji Anyao quickly sat up straight to stop him.

“Hey! Bai Siyu! Don’t spout nonsense! Hey… hey!”

However, she was greeted with only a figure that was strutting away without stopping. The sound of the door being closed drowned her voice out.

“Sh*t!”

Ji Anyao cursed angrily before jumping off the bed!

She wanted to chase after him but was stark naked. How could she go out like that? She couldn’t possibly run out with the duvet! She would truly become a laughing stock then!

Hearing the sound of footsteps fading away outside the door, Ji Anyao could not catch up with him. She eventually sat back on the bed, shrugging her shoulders and looking down at the wet clothes on the floor, as well as the bed sheets and quilt that were so messy that it looked as if a battle had just taken place. She was in so much pain that she felt like the bones all over her body had been dismantled and put back together again. Her muscles were so sore that she would feel terrible after just moving them a little… ‘This damned Bai Siyu is worse than a beast!’

She sniffled and felt like crying but could not do so.

Such a matter was neither major nor trivial. She would have let it go if it were someone else, but it was Bai Siyu. If she were to cry and weep, others would think that she was being pretentious.

To be frank, there was no need to feel devastated over such a matter although she felt uncomfortable and aggrieved… However, ever since she was a child. she had experienced too many horrible things and this was nothing to her.

She had already become indestructible long ago.

Smiling bitterly, Ji Anyao forced herself to get a grip on her emotions.

When she was out of luck, she had to admit defeat. Just like Bai Siyu, she cared about her pride too. She didn’t want the two of them to be embarrassed. Besides, the Bai Family had an established business empire and was invincible in Yaoguang City. They were far superior to the Gu Corporation. Even if her grandfather had the intention to help her get justice, the outcome might not be beneficial to her. Not to mention, Gu Mingyuan had always been wary of the Bai Family and definitely wouldn’t offend the Bai Family for an “insignificant woman”.

Ji Anyao knew very well that there was never fairness and equality in this world. Besides, she was in a daze last night too and was certain that someone had set her up. But… she had yet to find out who that person was.

She decided to take it that she had given Bai Siyu a free advantage. He was good-looking and had a great figure, so she wasn’t at too much of a loss. However, his skills in bed were too inferior… ‘Ah, he’s terrible!’

After comforting herself for a while, Ji Anyao finally calmed down. She suddenly remembered that she had called Yin Mei’er last night and asked her to pick her up at Seduction nightclub. However, she didn’t pick up her phone afterwards. She reckoned that Yin Mei’er would definitely be anxious!

She didn’t bring a charger either.

Just as she wanted to call the receptionist of the hotel, she heard the sounds of hurried footsteps outside the door, followed by the knocking of the door!

“Anyao! Anyao! Are you in there!?! If you are, say something! Hurry and open the door!”

Hearing this voice, Ji Anyao almost burst into tears.

It was Yin Mei’er and the others!

She hurriedly wrapped herself in the duvet and rushed to the door. As soon as Ji Anyao opened the door, she was dumbfounded!
