Resident Evil Multiverse Of Madness

Chapter 269 - 258 - The Homo-Superior Houses

"F.u.c.k!"

"F.u.c.k! F.u.c.k!"

"F.u.c.kiddy, f.u.c.k, f.u.c.k!"

Zeel cursed in a childish manner that did not befit his usually stoic attitude.

The Red Queen was just as baffled at the pillars but seeing Zeel's reaction, she could not help but retreat deep into the Mbeamer and giggle slightly.

But Zeel did not think the current situation warranted anything aside from panic. The information the pillars provided was just too detailed, too profound, too … accurate.

It should have been impossible for these pillars to even exist in the first place. It was a direct contradiction to everything he knew about his race.

There was a slight feeling of fear inside Zeel's heart.

Sensing this, The Red Queen exited the Mbeamer and materialized next to him, this was the first situation she had ever encountered that was not within Zeel's expectations.

Ever since they encountered the Aether in Herme's Dimension, Zeel had been more on edge, but this seemed to have pushed him over.

Now, everything was lining up, and Zeel could feel that the information on the pillars was just the tip of the iceberg.

"You were not aware of this?" The Red Queen asked, searching the pillars for anything that might denote the origin of whoever carved the information.

"No, even with some of my memories sealed, I should have an impression of everything present within the Homo-Superior Database," Zeel answered.

Since the destruction of the Homo-Superior Race, Zeel had access to all the information within the Homo-Superior Database, of course, apart from the information possessed in other Forbidden Cubes.

Still, The Red Queen failed to understand why the carved pillars could elicit such a serious reaction from Zeel.

The information was not exactly a forbidden secret or technique.

"Is the information so valuable?" The Red Queen asked.

Zeel raised an eyebrow and traced his hand over the nearest symbol. Then he began to point at each of the fourteen pillars that acted as foundations for the cave.

"This symbol is the runic-representation for the Homo-Superior Race on a whole. The subscripts inside are specifically referring to the Homo-Superior Council of 14 Families.

Each pillar has, in amazing detail, all the relevant information about each family.

The Asheborn House – They sold Freedom. They specialized in technology-free zones and unmonitored areas. You could call the Asheborns a Homo-Superior Household that was made up of Anti-Homo-Superiors. They somewhat despised technology.

The Lenward House – they sold possibilities. This house could select from a certain number of immediate possibilities and grant you that possibility.

To put it simply, if you wanted a bright future for your child, you just had to purchase it from them.

The Rapungy House – They sold space. A Universe is infinite and even as a technologically advanced civilization, it is difficult to get across trillions of tera-kilometers in space.

The Rapungy House could directly send you from one corner of Universe Zero to another.

The Rothschild House – they sold security. They held the keys to all the dimensions of every Homo-Superior.

You could say that instead of safety deposit boxes, Homo-Superiors had dimensions to store their valuables. The Rothschild house ensured that nothing went missing.

The Rockefeller House – they sold fortune. Homo-Superiors were only kind to other Homo-Superiors but we killed members of the Races often.

The Eredyn House – they sold wisdom. They were in charge of the entire Homo-Superior information network.

This includes beaming information through millions of galaxies in an instant. They bred specific variants of Wisdom Trees to do this.

The Swartz House – they sold faith. Homo-Superiors were immortal but we were never true immortals. True Immortals are indestructible in mind, body, and soul.

A true immortal could never get tired of living. The Swartz House sold faith, they ensured that you always had a purpose, something to believe in, or aspire to.

The Erry House – they sold dreams. In Universe Zero dreaming was a form of p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e. The Erry could build dreams and beam them directly into your mind.

Several people could join within a specific dream from different galaxies. They were masters of the mind. They helped build the defenses inside the mind of every Homo-Superior.

The Istmas House – they sold entertainment. Mechanize wrestling, Planetary Wars, Galactic Orbital Cruises, Homo-Superior Olympics… there was never a lack of entertainment since Istmas House could conduct any form of entertainment possible.

The Magi House – they sold magic. Magic was unique energy found in specific Universes within the Multiverse.

Up to the point of extinction, The Homo-Superior Race only discovered three magic Universes. The energy known as 'mana' was extremely rare, and the soul could only produce it after visiting such a Universe.

As a Homo-Superior, the hardest thing to do is forget, and they can help with that. They extract or implant memories, but the memories are always sealed in your dimension in case you want them back.

The Musc House – they sold technology. They were the most technologically advanced house of The Homo-Superior Race.

They created the design and concept for everything Homo-Superiors built. They were in charge of the Academy systems and were well-respected teachers.

The Crawford House – they sold time. Crawfords could compress a thousand years into a single day. We could age your body without aging your mentality or vice versa.

We could store time in contact lenses so when you sleep, you could feel like you slept for a thousand years. Anything to do with 'time' we could do.

The Original House – it's a fallen house that doesn't usually participate in council matters. They were there to ensure that everyone remained equal. Every house had to give its services to the Homo-Superior Race for free.

The Original House ensured that everyone had access to the same service, and if anyone wanted more, then payment would have to be made.

For example, the Crawford House gave away enough time for every single Homo-Superior to experience one day as if it was ten years.

However, if you wanted to experience One thousand years in a day, then you would have to purchase that.

The Original House ensured that everyone got what they were due. They were the holders of 'cost' energy.

They were not that important until near the point of extinction when there was disharmony within the Homo-Superior Race," Zeel said.

The Red Queen was appalled because she could now see the problem clearly.

"The Homo-Superior Race was being investigated?" she asked.

Zeel shook his head "No, we were being spied upon,"

"How is that possible?" The Red Queen asked confused.

'How could a race as advanced as the Homo-Superior Race allow any infiltration within Universe Zero?' she thought.

Seeing that The Red Queen was finally understanding, Zeel pointed at each pillar and asked "See anything special about these pillars?"

The Red Queen scanned the pillars once more and replied "There is nothing I can detect,"

"Exactly!" Zeel agreed and continued "Our information network covered several Universes. If there was a wind that blew and said 'Homo-Superior', we would know about it. But guess what we wouldn't know or care to know?

The Red Queen's eyes lit up in realization and smiled wryly "Homo-Superiors wouldn't know or care about primitive writing carved on pillars using primitive tools,"

Zeel laughed mockingly and nodded his head in affirmation.

He found it ironic that all someone had to do to retain information about the Homo-Superior Race was write it down on a rock.

Staring at the pillar in silence for a moment, Zeel walked by each pillar and slit his wrist, allowing his blood to splash on each.

The moment his blood contacted the pillars, they slowly began to dissolve the pillars from inside out. The sizzle of his blood ate away at the carvings that held the information of the Homo-Superior Council members.

"These can't be left behind," Zeel whispered, feeling as if everything was a little out of his comfort zone.

He prided himself on being the best of the Homo-Superior Race, but it seemed that there were things that even he was not privy to.

That just made his need to find his father that much more pressing.

After all, despite his lack of acknowledgment, Zeel knew that his father, Hank Crawford, was amongst the most powerful warriors in Homo-Superior History.

"How will the woman make it out if we destroy this place?" The Red Queen asked slightly concerned about Lara's status.

It was not that she cared about Lara per se, it was more that she felt that Zeel's treatment of Lara could later trickle over to Alice and Elizabeth when they were reunited.

Zeel shrugged "She still has an hour at this rate of dissolution,"

With that, Zeel continued his journey deeper into the tomb, unaware of a shadow that briefly flickered from one of the pillars.
