Golden hand ZeLin rummaged through the lizard priest's body, first came an orb, followed by a skill book, next was a necklace. The orb was blood red and seemed to have something floating inside, the skill book was in tatters and seemed very ancient. As for the necklace it looked plain and simple, like those trinkets you could get at a flea market, it however, had the shadow of a once glorious past. Their expressions turned to shock, when they finally took a deep look at the items:

It was obvious that the Orb and the skill book were a set, and with great luck, the user could gain high tier spells. In previous versions of the game, there was never a word of Blood Magic. This was definitely new.

They were amazed by the stats increase on the necklace, till they saw that it was a cursed item. Till date, there was not a single person, who managed to not die at least once. Each death would cause the user to permanently lose 1 of all stats. Although the item can with a buffer for 50 stats to all, it wasn't a great idea to wear this.

As they were deciding on what to do with the blood magic set, ZeRen felt some vibrations from his inventory. The mystery egg he got was shining inside his inventory, so he took it out, the moment the egg left the storage, it rolled off ZeRen's hands and headed straight for the pensive.

Ignoring the shocked expressions of its only 2 audience, the egg hopped and plopped itself into the blood. As the egg sunk into the pool, a piercing screech escaped the pool of blood! The white scaled creature was writhing in agony, as though it was being burnt alive, thrashing within the pensive.

The egg on the other hand, was hastily absorbing the blood essences, from it's dull grey color, it was beginning to show flame red patterns across the shell. As the pool got thinner and thinner, the white scaled creature weaken much more, soon the blood was no more. In the pensive, remained a red egg and the white creature.

Peering into the pensive, ZeLin used his hammer to poke the creature, there was no response, it was as though the creature had died. But ZeLin was still cautious, he got his brother to use {Observe} to double check the creature.

Feed a droplet of blood to claim monster pet.

ZeLin immediately poked his finger and let a droplet of blood flow into the mutated blood dragon's mouth.

[Ding! Would you like to name your pet?]

"I'll call you Red Gale!" said ZeLin. This was the first time he got a mythical creature as a pet, in the previous game, he was so envious when Sun Guild's leader got a Phoenix. Now he too had a dragon, it was a mutated blood dragon at that. Although at this point, he had no data on it, it seemed like a powerful creature anyway.

As soon as ZeLin gave a name to the unconscious dragon-ling, it disappeared and entered into the pet window on the user interface. Smiling he turned to thank his brother for not taking it, but all he saw was ZeRen's shocked expression.

A sudden [Crack!] brought ZeLin to turn towards the pensive, he saw as the egg hatched and another dragon like creature roll out. It blinked twice, then flew directly to ZeRen, wrapping itself on his wrist, before fading into his skin. In a few breaths, all that remained was a dragon tattoo around ZeRen's wrist.

"What in the world is that?" asked ZeLin.

Instead of a verbal response, ZeRen sent him a screenshot of the creature's stats and description.

The pair of brothers could never believe their luck, this was the highest windfall of all! Their dragons would be their most hidden trump card. One got a mutated blood dragon and the other a primordial mutated golden dragon. Both although still newborns, had decent fire power. At this point, that irritant to the East was just a toy to these two Gods.
