The feeling of his consciousness being moved away wasn't unfamiliar to him. In his previous's life's memories, Kai felt the same before passing away.

Right now the 'place' he was currently on was dark but numerous lights could be seen far far away. Starting at those lights Amon found out that they were heading towards very fast.

He got scared and tried to move but he couldn't to his surprise. Just as the lights were about to crash into him Amon saw that they actually stacked together.

After an unknown period of time, Amon saw that those lights formed a rough orb that needed a bit polishing before becoming perfectly round. The core was smaller even than a rice bean.

'Wait... if it's rice sized how can I see it?' after he asked himself this question Amon looked around. The darkness that seemed so vast to him before felt like it was something miniature.

Amon decided not to pay attention to this after a few seconds because he felt that he had something like a new organ or instinct. He couldn't define it.

Looking at the core he felt that he could absorb all these energies around him. As he tried to do that he felt the energy passing through seven paths on his body.

Curiosity got him and he decided to check if he could move. Trying a bit he managed to move his 'consciousness' and dragged it towards one of these seven paths.

It looked like a river through which various blue and yellow fire lights moved towards his core. Following these energies, Amon saw that they actually dispersed after a period of time.

He couldn't control this energy as much as he tried so he decided to stop for now. 'It seems that I need a circulating method.'

Trying to open his eyes, Amon succeeded on the first try. He tried to see his core again and he did it without any hardness at all.

'It's too late. I need to get a proper sleep for tomorrow.'

Amon decided to get a good sleep but he fell asleep only two hours later. The excitement he had was too much.

---------

In the morning Amon woke up from the annoying bell on the table.

He was still tired but when thinking about the fact that he would be able to choose a cultivating method today he hurriedly tidied his bed. Going to the library he saw the breakfast was already there.

Seeing him, Lan nodded and smiled towards Amon.

'He could sense that I have a core!' Amon thought in amazement but then he felt that it wasn't too good to be seen through by a single glance.

After eating his cold stone eggs Amon looked towards Lan in expectation. Seeing Amon being impatient Lan stood up after finishing his breakfast.

"Clean up the library and put those books where they belong on the bookshelves and come to me after you're done."

Amon excitedly went and picked the four books on the table and headed towards the first bookshelf.

Taking the ladder he climbed and put the books according to the alphabetical order. Next what followed was the cleaning of the floor with the broom and the mop.

While cleaning the dust with the broom Amon thought about the element that he had. He had a suspicion that it was the wind element but he couldn't confirm it.

As far as he knew humans could have control over the four main elements and many others. Those who possessed light affinities were heaven's favourites as for the dark affinity possessors, they were a myth based on the fact that everything had a counter.

Finishing his activity with the broom Amon picked up the mop and started cleaning the floor again.

"Amon I forgot to tell you there is some dust on the bookshelves too. You need to clean them once every week." Lan's voice rang in the library.

This new task made Amon sigh. He had to do this job lest he is allocated to someone else. Lan was good for now and the library didn't require so many activities. It was good for now, one more task a week wasn't that bad.

After cleaning with the mop Amon started cleaning the bookshelves with a wet cloth. The cloth was wet enough to remove the dust without wetting the books. He finished his task one hour after lunch and headed towards the reception.

On the reception, Lan was seated on his chair and in front of him on the desk lay an orb. "Amon put your hand on the orb so that we can see your affinity. It has all the elements humans could be born with."

Putting his hand on the orb Amon and Lan looked at the orb with expectation. The orb glowed with a fiery colour after which three pale lights appeared on the colour.

"Good. You are an average, possessing a level three fire affinity. Now follow me for a circulating method. " Lan led the way towards a stairway that led underground.

They entered another small library that had fewer and smaller bookshelves. "Choose one from these on the middle shelve," said Lan as he pointed at the mid, le of a certain bookshelf.

Picking up the first book he found close to his reach Amon read its cover. 'Elemental Lantern' which was low-level for the Initial Stage.

'So the initial stage is the first stage of magic...'

Skipping through the small book Amon took his time to look at the other books too. In the end, he decided to take the first book he had read.

"Amon now that you are free for the rest of the day and have chosen your energy circulating method I would advise you to study it. Next month you might get another magic book, but maybe a skill depending on your choice." After saying that Lan made a hand sign for Amon to follow him towards the exit of this underground room.

'So this month's salary is being spent on this energy circulating method. I will try my best learning it, just because I'm average in terms of talent won't stop me from exploring the wonders of magic!!!' Decided Amon as he walked out of the underground room and headed towards his.

Sitting on the bed Amon opened the manual of the [Elemental Lantern] manual.

'Cleanse the seven main energy paths and connect them with the spark, igniting it with your Elemental affinity as if it is a lantern.'

Next, a breathing technique was described along with a more complicated hand seal.

To his knowledge, the wind elemental affinity wasn't bad. It was good for offensive as it offered high speed and was also life preserving based on this fact.

Amon didn't spend more time on thinking and started to execute the hand seals first. His memory was better than the average person so it took him only one hour to remember it.

The breathing technique was harder to remember and even harder to execute so it took him three hours to remember it.

What followed next was a day being spent in tries to execute the breathing technique successfully as every time Amon would choke.

Amon was unsuccessful for a whole month and it was on the beginning of his second month with Lan in that he succeeded in executing the technique without choking, successfully.
