Rise of the Legendary Emperor

Chapter 222: Hotel and Tea House

Thousand Agorian gold coins could be used to exchange for one low-quality life energy stone. Amaryll had notified Don that after discussing with Joel, Uncle Dior, and Amber, they proposed the plan to charge two hundred gold coins for a night in one of the third-floor rooms and fifty coins for a room on the second floor.

Don was happy with the prices and if he could manage to pull this restaurant business successfully, in the long term, it would turn into a very profitable business.

After experiencing the extravagance of the third floor, the rooms on the second floor paled in comparison. However, even those rooms looked like Don's chamber in the Agoria castle which made him think about renovating the castle itself because a king's room shouldn't be less fancy than a hotel room.

"Have you come up with a name for this establishment?"

Reghys asked Don when they returned to the dining hall as everyone looked at Don

"I left that matter in Amaryll's hands"

Hearing Don, Arwen couldn't help but remember the times they lived in the forest and built huts made of leaves and sticks but now, Amaryll got to run a high-end business like this and name the place with whatever name she likes.

"Continue your work, I want this place ready before the winter"

"It'll be ready, me king"

With this, Don took his men and made his way to the tea house which had been constructed near the restaurant.

"Your majesty, if you give the order, I can hire bards and start the advertisements"

"You do that"

Advertising and marketing were assigned to Joel and his men but since Lord Clemo asked, he decided to let him do it as Don wanted to get much attention towards his establishments as much as he could.

Following Lord Clemo, they reached the second construction site where another group of refugees was busy with grooming the plants outside the building as the dwarves were fixing the front door frame.

Unlike the restaurant which was built using the marble stones, the tea house was built using mostly wood and reinforced glass.

"Your majesty, Captain Arwen, Guardian Reghys"

When the black-armored guard who was supervising the other workers came running to them when he saw them. And even though the man kept his helmet on as he was ordered to, Don knew he's an elf by judging his accent and the wild jasmine perfume that elves like to apply on themselves was a dead giveaway to him.

"I'm the lead builder here, your majesty, Llarm, I'm called"

An elf who was talented in building things, it really surprised Don and even Arwen.

"Show us around, Llarm"

Arwen ordered the elf as he nodded and gestured at them to follow him.

Amber proposed the two-floor plan for the tea house and the first floor was built underground and the second floor was built on top of it.

They followed the elf around the building away from the door he saw and came to a separate entrance that was located behind the building.

"This is the entrance to the ground floor, your majesty, that way the nobles and comments have little to no chance of seeing each other"

Even though the place was built underground, Llarm's team built an elegant reception above the place to let the commoners and normal people know about this newly built establishment.

When the elf opened the doors, he was greeted by a luxurious hall filled with elegant tables, bar counters, chairs made of stone that resembled the marble stones but had a tint of blue shade to it.

The walls were painted with charcoal color and the golden chandeliers perfectly complemented the dark interior and the white objects such as the tables, chairs, and everything else.

"Your majesty, are we in the right place? It doesn't look like the place for commoners"

"We are indeed in the right place, Lord Clemo"

The elf proudly said and gave them a tour around the place.

"The supplies will reach here by the end of this week, your majesty"

Don nodded and checked the chimney built into the wall that was producing the heat to keep this place warm while Lord Clemo checked the sturdiness of the chairs by sitting on every chair he saw.

"Shall we go see the place above?"

Reghys asked Don after she checked this place out as Don nodded.

"Follow me, your majesty"

Llarm said and after a few moments, Don reached the door that he first saw.

Lord Clemo wondered how fancier this floor is going to look, compared to the one he just came from. The people were still carrying boxes that looked like containing glassware to the inside when Don and his men entered the floor.

And just as the glass door opened, he saw tables for two, four, and a family made of fine oak and luxurious golden sofa sets that were neatly arranged uniquely.

The expensive marble stones reflected the golden light produced by the huge elegant chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The place seemed like it could easily accommodate a hundred nobles comfortably because the hall was very spacious and even after the sofa sets and chairs, it had space to place statues or any other decorative items.

By looking at the wooden boxes lying on the ground, Don could say Amber hadn't done with this place yet.

"We are still waiting for the shipment of curtains, glassware, and centerpieces for the tables, your majesty"

"When can we open for business?"

Don asked the elf.

"We'll be done with this place in two weeks, your majesty"

Don was impressed by the speed of their work because, in a month, they constructed these two buildings from scratch and of course, he spent a significant amount of wealth to buy the best materials and put every one of his men, including the soldiers of Everlight and the refugees

to work.

His men worked day and Night in this rainy weather to complete these projects and he decided to ask Amaryll to raise their salary. Also, he didn't forget the contribution of Gabriella and her merchants because they delivered the goods as fast as they could and because of that, there was no time delayed waiting for the main materials for the buildings.

Now the construction works were almost finished, he had to find a reliable supplier for the ingredients needed for both restaurants and tea houses.

He could buy a percentage of meat and supplies from the hunters of Agoria but they won't be able to supply in large quantities. Considering this, Don decided to put Joel's men to find the right supplier as well as inform the village chiefs about this.

Thinking about the supplier, Don laid back on the comfy sofa and Reghys also luxuriated before him. Arwen ordered the men to stay outside and stood beside Lord Clemo.

The comfiness of the sofa made Don's back scream in joy and even Reghys had a little smile on her face.

"This is very comfortable"

Reghys said to Don as he nodded.

"It better be because the price of this thing almost gave a heart attack to uncle Dior"

Arwen chuckled as Don remembered the time Uncle Dior ordered just water in the Royal dine after taking a peek at the menu.

At that time, he only had a few coins that he got by selling the magical core in the auction house but now, he had an immense amount of wealth that might be even equal to the wealth of some rank three kingdoms.

"What are you thinking about?"

Looking at him daydreaming, Reghys asked Don.

"I'm just thinking about the past, that's all and Arwen"

Don turned his gaze from Reghys to Arwen

"Your majesty"

Arwen would only call him by his name when there are no outsiders near them and since that was not the case here, he referred to him as his majesty.

"What do you think about opening our borders to everyone, including the Astrels?"

The humans called the species from the other races as Astrels and when Lord Clemo heard him, he felt like he was going to faint in shock and fear.

However, Arwen didn't look too surprised and on the contrary, he seemed like he was expecting something like this from Don as he calmly answered Don.

"You will have my support, your majesty, but even if we opened our borders, people won't easily come to our kingdom like the human refugees, especially the elves. They will think this as a trap to catch them and sell them to the slave traders "

"He makes a valid point"

Reghys agreed with Arwen while Lord Clemo stood there shivering.

"I know it won't be easy, but we have to start somewhere and Lord Clemo, are there any slave traders in my kingdom?"

Arrora and Arwen eradicated the small slave traders in Emir and Agoria but Don was informed that big influential slave traders had been holding special slave auctions where they auction expensive and rare Astrels like slaves, dwarves, and Harpies which were even more scarce than the elves.

At that time Joel informed him about this, he was just a Moon realm cultivator but now he had a heavenly realm cultivator with him, Reghys.

"You may or may not know, your majesty, a while ago, some group massacred all the small-time slave traders in Korrinth, Emir, Agoria, and some of the other rank 4 kingdoms. Since then, many slave traders migrated to higher-ranked kingdoms but there are still some slave traders around here but they only hold members-only auctions"

Don didn't know what Reghys did but Lord Clemo seemed unusually calm and collective as he just looked pale in fear a moment ago.

"Who are these members?"

Lord Clemo shook his head

"I don't know, your majesty, no one knows, the auction house keeps the identities of their customers a secret, not even King Garreth was able to get that information"

While Lord Clemo was talking Don noticed a glimmer in his eyes and realized that Reghys had cast a spell on him. He was glad that Reghys did this as he continued

"And how do you know all this?"

"Prince Jowan blabbered to me when he was high as a kite in Queen Grass"
