"Ahh, I really love their new recipe. Now, I can understand why that is your favorite restaurant, Kielle." Ember smiles at Kielle, and he feels a swell of pride in his heart by her compliment. Despite him not being the owner of the restaurant, he just feels happy that his friend sees that he has good taste.

"That's great, Ember. Maybe we can go back again if you have some time to spare," Kielle happily replies to her friend as the bags in his hand don't seem so heavy anymore, feeling like he has restored his strength from eating and spending some time to talk with Ember regarding their current lives.

They have just left the restaurant and are now planning to go back home. Right now they're just talking as they please, enjoying the day while they still can. Reaching the parking lot, they're just walking when a force suddenly disrupts their lively conversation. Ember suddenly slams on someone's c.h.e.s.t.

*Bump!*

She blinks her aurous eyes, but she is quick enough to look up to his face— though slow to apologize as he quickly beats her to it.

"Sorry about that." His masculine voice speaks out.

Despite wearing a hoodie, she can still stick the oceanic blue hair sticking out from its edges, which meanwhile strangely complements the color of his eyes— those electrifying blue eyes that can seem to suck any unfortunate person right in. His face is almost flawless in features— one that can hypnotize a person and make it be stared at for hours and hours without getting tired.

He looks strangely familiar to Ember; but he isn't anyone she knows that she should waste her time to ponder on, so she casually looks away from his handsome face and begins to ask forgiveness.

"I'm also sorr—"

But when she's about to speak, her apology falters as her golden eyes suddenly land on the short blonde-haired woman that is accompanying the handsome man right now. Her heart begins to be filled with loathing as she is infuriated to see the face of the woman she despised the most. In the depths of her molten golden eyes, disgust is formed as she takes in the current scenario before her.

She snaps back to reality as she realizes that Kielle is still with her, and she is in disguise at the moment. There's no doubt that these people won't recognize her. She can also not dare to cause a ruckus right now when she can just use this learned knowledge for later. The sneer on her lips is concealed by the pink face mask she has placed on her face for the day. She sets aside the anger and gently apologizes to the man, "Sorry."

Without bothering to waste another second staring at these pair of snakes, she harshly pulls the clueless Kielle along with her as she struts forward, not caring if she brutally hits the woman as they pass-by this sc.u.mbag of a couple.

A smirk tugs the corner of her lips. Her voice is full of malicious venom and obvious distaste, Ember softly whispers the words she knew her fiancé's mistress will hear, intentionally said to strike that peasant's heart with fear.

"What a s.l.u.t."

Anger seizes his heart for the woman in his heart to be claimed as a s.l.u.t. He angrily turns his head to glare at the woman that they came across earlier.

"You…"

He stops once the couple is already too far away to be even reprimanded. His electro-blue eyes flash for a second upon recalling those familiar burning golden eyes in his memories. There's no doubt…

Keeping the anger to himself, he deliberately softens his gaze as he turns to the woman beside him. He tightly holds her hand in his before raising it to his lips and pressing a kiss. "Don't believe them, Lily-jie. You are not a s.l.u.t, never a s.l.u.t. Okay?" Those honey doe eyes that are brightened with tears blink, and she nods to his comfort.

"Okay…"
