Located in the midst of a wide-open field, a grandiose white-colored mansion stands within.

Tall gates surround the house, protecting the property from unwelcomed trespassers. Before the building is a large water fountain, made of polished marble, situated right in the center. A long and wide pond is made on each side of the walkway that leads to the entrance of the household, making a mesmerizing view, while it shelters hundreds of koi fish in its clean, crystal-like waters. The mansion also displays a grand staircase leading to the doorway.

Despite already evening in time, the residence is still brightly-lighted with pretty golden lights, shying the darkness of the night away from sight. It makes out a magnificent appearance. Any passerby will naturally stop, the view stealing their breath away.

The outside is almost quiet; only the flowing of the water can be heard and the butler's slow breathing; but the silence is soon ruined when the sound of wheels is heard. A s.e.xy red Hercedes Pens suddenly stops in front of the grandiose white-located mansion.

The butler that has been waiting for its arrival immediately moves to action, carefully opening the car's door for the car's owner.

Ember Wang then steps out, gorgeous as always.

Her hair is tied into a messy bun. She compliments her dark amber hair with an elegant sleeveless white dress, perfectly contrasting its shades as she sports a fierce yet pure look. A beautiful diamond necklace adorns her neck, matching with some dangling diamond earrings for her ears. Her expensive, classic-looking jewelry is perfect for her sophisticated demeanor, making her more beautiful than ever.

Wearing six-inch silver stilettos, the goddess looks ready to crush anyone that gets in her way yet simultaneously still looking demure and classy.

Effortlessly strutting up the stairs, Ember gracefully places a hand on the knob; but before she twists it, she takes a glimpse of her phone.

'Perfect. Just in time.'

She nods to herself, looking satisfied, as she proceeds to move, pushing the door open before her. It is with the help of the two men dressed in a coordinated black suit, the residence's butlers, however that she is able to open the large, heavy doors. Ember gratefully nods at them before allowing herself to enter.

Sauntering inside, she feels the familiarity striking her in a good manner.

Everything is still the same. Even the unique flooring of the first floor is still the same with its transparent glass texture, revealing the koi fishes swimming underneath. She continues to walk inside the mansion. Upon seeing a group of people socializing in the lobby area, her lips curl.

Her mother immediately spots her figure as soon as she enters. One can truly see the sincerity of her delight in her grey eyes upon perceiving her beloved child.

"My lovely daughter!" she affectionately exclaims as she runs to the beauty, embracing her with motherly love. "Oh, how I miss you." Ember laughs as she buries her face on her mother's soft blonde hair, wanting to savor the feeling of her mother's embrace. But she has eventually pulled away and is now being fondly gazed at by her mother.

Ember softly smiles, but the smile falters when her mother's expression is suddenly warped with disdain.

"You unfilial child! Only appearing now after being away for so long; what did I do to deserve this?!" the mother scolds as she glances down at her almost empty hands. "And you didn't even bring me a Koi fish as a present. You do know how guests are not allowed inside without it!" Serenity Wang complains.

She misses her daughter alright, but the Koi fish! Her daughter is obviously aware of her love for gathering Koi fishes.

She crosses her arms as the middle-aged woman appears to look so disappointed. Ember gives her mom an exasperated look before pouting, Her bright golden eyes portray a child-like gleam as she tries to state her side, "But Mom! I'm not even a guest! I'm your daughter!" She w.h.i.n.es, feeling so childish at the moment.

'It's been far too long since I've ever felt like this.'

Being away for so long. Working all these times, Ember has definitely grown and m.a.t.u.r.ed from a spoiled princess to the fierce and confident queen she is right now. Serenity's heart, of course, cannot help but melt at the sight of her daughter's adorability.

The mother-daughter pair happily laughs while the head of the household looks at his family with his soft golden eyes; a gentle smile is settled on his handsome-looking face.

Observing the whole family, one can really see how lucky the girl is.

Ember is a perfect mix of the married couple. Her amber hair and golden irises which she has received from Austin Wang, his father, make her truly unique from the rest of the world. Her alluring peach blossom shaped eyes and her hourglass figure are just like her mom, Serenity Wang, which makes her very desirable and enchanting to everyone.

The small family reunion is unintentionally ruined when the married Xu couple steps forward to greet their precious daughter-in-law.

Celina Xu leaves her husband's side as she walks closer to the beauty. Smiles are written on their faces; the women press both of their cheeks together for a cheek kiss as a symbol of greeting. Axel Xu also moves closer to acknowledge his future daughter-in-law, briefly hugging her. She smiles, seeing that her soon-to-be father-in-law is still a quiet man as ever.

Turning to the woman, Ember begins to socialize with her. Remembering a detail that Kielle has told her the day before, she relays the information to the beautiful woman, "Oh, Auntie! Kielle informed me that he isn't going to make it today. His comeback is almost close, and he's busy with the preparation. He said, however, that he'll make it up to us next time."

The woman purses her lips at the news, but she understands so she nods. Both her sons have always been busy anyways.

Well, at least, Ember is here to accompany her.

Celina brightly smiles and takes Ember's hands in hers, clasping it. Her green eyes sparkle when she remembers something.

"Oh, by the way, I saw that press conference of yours a few hours ago; and I was wondering if you have already set your eyes on a drama you want to star in. Don't be shy to tell us if you have. This father-in-law of yours has a lot of money, and it will be useless if he doesn't spoil you enough. He'll gladly invest in the film or drama that you want to work in." Celina kindly offers as she continuously pats her husband beside her.

Ember laughs, but her decision has already been set from the start.

"I don't think that would be necessary for now, Auntie. I want to achieve my goals on my own, but I will gladly inform Uncle and you if I ever change my mind," Ember honestly replies, touching the hearts of the Xu couple when they heard her.

They're truly lucky to have her as their future daughter-in-law; she's so honest, sweet, and very self-reliant. She's truly fit for their son, deserving a spot in their family.

Celina places a hand on her arm as she warmly gazes at the beauty. "You can ask us anything, Ember. Remember that. Don't be shy when it comes to asking for favors. You are already part of the Xu family. You are already like a daughter to us."

Ember gratefully smiles as she turns to the other man. Axel Xu looks emotionless as always, but she can definitely see the soft gaze in his usual icy-blue eyes. Suddenly, the tranquility among them is ruined. The softness dissipates while his blue orbs turn dark and sinister.

"My son!"

He snaps, obviously displeased by his son's missing presence. "Why is he not here? Did he not accompany you?!" He glares at the realization, but Ember is well-aware that his anger is not directed at her, so she isn't fazed by his sudden yell. Knowing her uncle's strict ways; of course, he will be very mad to see his daughter-in-law left unattended by that son of his.

The beauty childishly pouts as she links her arms around the arm of Axel in an attempt to cool down his flames of wrath.

"Uncle, Zio-ge is very occupied right now. I can't allow myself to trouble him, so I told him to finish his business first before coming here. He wanted to accompany me, but I insisted. I hope you forgive him."

The lady's charming and innocent disposition was a total 180-degree turn from her usual countenance; the man's anger disintegrates from her words. This girl's sensibility and understanding nature melted his heart and一 well, actually一 everyone's heart within the room.

Axel Xu sighs in his heart, knowing that he can never win against his daughter-in-law when she flashes her ultimate weapon at him─ her puppy eyes! His blue eyes soften and he raises his hand to pet the girl's head.

"Alright, I'll forgive him for this once. I know you and your protectiveness of that useless son of mine. I hope you continue to stay patient with him, considering that he's pretty stubborn. That guy…"

He shakes his head, patting her head in a doting way. Ember cutely smiles and childishly nods several times. Soon later, Axel releases his hold.

Ember inwardly snickers as she observes his affectionate gestures. Truly this uncle of hers loves her the most. It is an open secret that out of the Xu family's two sons and Ember, the Xu couple favors her the most. Being the only female and definitely the cutest among them all! Of course, these are one of the major reasons why she's loved and pampered the most by the married couple.

The interaction continues for a few more minutes before Serenity Wang, her mother, finally announces that dinner is ready. All of them take their time as they head to the dining area, continuing their lively conversation as they go.
