Well the others might have not expected something like that, but Princess Jena who was under the protection and direction of Tianlong Yun surely expected something like this to happen.

After all, no matter how strong and powerful one is, when his plans aren't going according to his wishes will always turn to violence and hope that it solves it.

Aware or unaware that resulting to violence at that moment is the worst possible idea it could have, as is the same as hammering a cracking glass.

It's impossible for the hammer to actually seal the cracks, or even block them from spreading. As in fact, it could only make matters worse by breaking the glass.

This was precisely the current situation inside that Court Room. Normally Duke Gordon's son wasn't responsible for whatever had happened, and Jena's work could be said to be more of a bluff.

But the way he acted, and his current actions made it seem like Princess Jena's words and claims didn't need more proof.

The common feeling among all the high nobles, the Patriarch, and even the First Prince itself was that Duke Gordon had been caught red-handed and was trying to silence the witness.

Most probably even if he managed to actually kill Princess Jena, and be done with her, he would still be unable to escape the doubts that he was responsible for the robbery that had happened.

Everyone knew that his son was a good-for-nothing that would do whatever he told him to do. He had no idea of his own, or to be more exact he didn't have a brain to think of an idea of his own.

These thoughts were coursing through everyone's mind at light-speed, as they all witnessed how Duke Gordon came closer and closer to Princess Jena, to actually reap her life.

As his claw was about to reach her neck though, suddenly a great pressure was spread through the Court Room, and the poor Duke Gordon felt like he was falling in a quagmire of sand.

His speed fell sharply, and in just one second he was unable to move forward anymore. Not only that but even his muscles, and his beating heart seemed to freeze at that moment.

Duke Gordon had never thought that something like this would happen, especially when even the Patriarch himself didn't seem like he was about to act at first.

Could it be that he changed his mind, and was actually going to defend Princess Jena? That shouldn't be the case, right?

He didn't know for what reason but for quite some time now, the Patriarch had clearly demonstrated his backing for the First Prince.

Even though he hadn't made an official announcement and was still waiting for the big assembly of the Clan to actually decide upon his successor officially, the decision seemed to have been made.

Now that Princess Jena seemed even ready to announce her own candidacy for the throne of the Werewolves Clan, it was clear that killing her was the best choice possible.

Like that they would manage to either silence her faction quickly, or take them back under their control once again.

So why would he actually act in order to defend or protect her? It just didn't make much sense!

What the poor Duke Gordon didn't know was that the one who had acted wasn't His Excellency the Patriarch himself, but one of the Grand Elders.

His intervention surprised even Princess Jena's camp, and the beauty herself. Since she had already expected something like this, Princess Jena had prepared her own safety measures.

But who would have thought that she would actually find such a helper at that moment? Not that she didn't want it or wasn't planning on using it when she had the chance.

As the whole crowd was still shocked by what just happened, they heard an old but soft voice spread through the Court Room,

"Your Excellency the Patriarch, someone is trying to actually kill your own blood inside your own Court Room, landing a tight slap to your face, and you don't act?

Could it be that the honour and face of the Patriarch of the Werewolves Clan had fallen to such a degree.

Disappointing!"

The Patriarch's face went dark and gloomy, but the one who was responsible for all this couldn't help but tremble in fear.

The situation had just gone from bad to worse for Duke Gordon, who most probably had never thought about something like that might happen.

The existence and presence of the Grand Elders, and the Supreme Elder were almost mystical in the Clan, as they would normally never interfere in the matters of the Clans.

They were only standing behind in the shadows, trying to increase their own strength, energy, and perfectionate their existence, while protecting the Clan in times of need.

Yet right now, one of those scary and terrifying existences, was actually using his strength against a high-noble of the clan, against a Duke.

Still, no matter how much of a slap this was for Duke Gordon, and his abilities there wasn't even the faintest trace of anger or hatred on his face.

He didn't know whether ants would fear the sight of a human, but right now he felt himself even lower than an ant, and he knew that there was nothing he could do to the 'human' beside him.

The disparity was just so deep, that he felt that even his existence was wavering in front of that aura and pressure.

Since there was no way he would be able to actually go against that aura, pressure, and fear, he could only resort to begging for his life, pity, and pretending to be on the right,

"Esteemed Grand Elder I was just trying to educate the Young Princess against defaming, and insulting her own bloodline…"

"Did I give you permission to open that rotten mouth of yours?"

"Huh!? No, I…"

"Then stop disturbing the air inside this room with your stinky breath!

Furthermore, when her Father the Patriarch doesn't act in order to educate her, as her Patriarch, and her Father, who the hell are you to do so?

Since when are high-nobles like you allowed to actually touch a member of the Main Family without their permission, or order? Even less educate one!

It seems like times have truly changed, and you vermin's are actually following the example of your livestock!

I haven't lived for so long in this Clan to see my descendants fall to the customs of our livestock! You are truly disappointing!"

"Esteemed…"

'Crackkkkk~!'

"AAARRRGGGHHHH~!"

Just as Duke Gordon was about to continue speaking, the Grand Elder didn't seem to tolerate him any second longer, as he crashed the guy's neck slowly and painfully!

"I told you to not speak without my permission, didn't I?"

Normally the greatest authority inside that room would be the Patriarch, but at that moment the Patriarch didn't dare to say even a word.

As for the First Prince, while he had a lot of things to say, the current him didn't have the necessary strength, nor standing to actually face the Grand Elder.

He could only wait for the other Grand Elder to join the fray and protect him, otherwise even he might disappear this day.

As he was thinking like that, the voice of the person on his thoughts travelled through the distance and inside the Court Room as well,

"Old Tooth, why are you breaking the rules and actually meddling with the affairs of the younger generations?

Didn't we make an oath to actually stay away from all this?"

At the same time, he also spread his pressure and aura to fight the pressure and aura of the first Grand Elder, and in just an instant the two auras and pressures started clashing and collapsing with each other.

Even though everyone inside the Court Room was actually a high-noble or above, they still could feel like little kids sensing the terrible crashing waves of the oceans around them, without being able to see.

It was at that moment that they truly felt the disparity between them, and the actual heads of the Werewolves Clan.

They were all overwhelmed by all that was happening around them, that no one seemed to care about the fate of Duke Gordon anymore.

The first Grand Elder coldly snorted and increased his aura and pressure as he said,

"I know, I don't need you to remind me about it! But I can't allow my Clan to fall so low and disperse like this! The Clan's existence and prosperity is more important than my oath, and even my own life!"

There was no hesitation, or any dreg of reluctance on the Grand Elders voice, he truly felt those words that he said.

His Clan was much more valuable to him than his own life and existence, people like him were truly rare in this world.

But the other Grand Elder only scuffed at his words, while doing the same as his brethren by increasing the aura and the pressure while saying,

"Hmph~! Old thing you are just bored here and want to wrestle the power from our descendants to bring the ruin of my Werewolves Clan.

I won't allow you to do something like that!

For that reason, I have decided to throw you, and that descendant that you want to protect so much into the Ancestors Graveyard!

Go there and seek apology from them or return with their permission!"

"Truly surprising, I was thinking to do the same thing with you!"

"You can only think, because you don't have the strength!"

With that said, the aura and pressure of the second Grand Elder seemed to multiply instantly, as it approached closer and closer to the breakthrough of the next Realm…
