S-Class Dungeon's Mistress

Chapter 101

Kisses and baths? Adelaide tried to recall their past conversations with a dazed face. It wasn’t the first time she teased the young Lupinus that way, but she couldn’t quite remember exactly what he was talking about.
‘Oh, is that why you kissed me?’
She remembered their kiss in the dungeon. She didn’t know why he hated her, so if it was for revenge, she could now understand. Of course, if Adelaide were him, she wouldn’t have kissed him for revenge, but perhaps they just had different mindsets.
“Don’t tell me, you forgot…?”
“No! I do remember! Um, yes. I did say that, I did.”
When Lupinus’ voice became sullen, Adelaide hurriedly nodded her head.
She certainly couldn’t remember what he was talking about, but she vaguely remembered something like it, so it wasn’t a lie.
Lupinus’ eyes softened at her answer. He had a youthful smile like that of a young boy, as if he had never been violent in his life. However, his intentions were not as pure as Adelaide’s thoughts.
“Then, are you ready to keep your words?”
Lupinus lowered his voice as if he were whispering something secretive. His face, as beautiful as a portrait, came very close.
‘Is it okay to say yes?’ Adelaide thought for a moment as their gazes met.
However, since she was the type to not have a lot of worries, she immediately tried to nod her head without thinking. And a devil, who had no difficulty anticipating her actions, quickly intervened.
“Adele. I’m sorry to interrupt, but how about we start to go back now?”
Lisianthus casually smiled and interrupted Lupinus’ actions. Lupinus stared at him with a completely different look from when he looked at Adelaide. If he was a normal demon, he would’ve knelt in an instant due to his vicious eyes. However, since Lisianthus was far from a normal demon, he spoke regardless of his stare.
“Now that the matter has been resolved, we need to quickly summon the other demons.”
“Yeah, imagine how cramped and bored they must feel in that small safe house?”
Caladium quickly placed a spoon on the plate that Lisianthus laid out. They had always held thorns towards each other, but this time they agreed.
‘I can’t have more love rivals.’
The eyes of the two devils burned in unison. Especially against that warrior Adelaide shared a past with. Indescribable jealousy soared from the fact that he knew a part of her that they did not know and even shared similar memories.
“Oh, that’s right. I need to go see the kids.”
Adelaide remembered. As Lisianthus expected, she was always easily won over whenever her demons were mentioned.
“Lupin, then today—”
“Adela.”
But Lisianthus wasn’t the only one who knew how to deal with Adelaide. Although they had been apart for a long time, Lupinus and Adelaide were each other’s first friends and shared a daily life. Unlike back then, Lupinus had already grown enough to mature, and became an adult who could elicit the reaction he wanted.
“Again… You’re going to abandon me?”
Lupinus recited in a dreary voice, Adelaide gasped and quickly waved her hands. Just as Lupinus had intended.
“A-Abandon! That’s not it!”
To Adelaide, who had just heard of Lupinus’ tragic past, the word ‘abandon’ was like a landmine. Frantic that Lupinus might have been hurt again, she hugged him tightly to comfort him.
Lupinus, who was held in Adelaide’s arms, raised the corners of his lips as he looked at Lisianthus sideways.
‘You’re no match for me.’ He said with his eyes.
Lisianthus kept a smile on his face and clenched his fists tightly. And Caladium, standing next to him, opened his mouth wide in astonishment.
‘Holy sh*t, there’s someone worse than this b*stard.’
Undoubtedly believing that Lisianthus was the most heinous creature in the world, he felt complicated by the appearance of the new fox. Although it was satisfying that someone could deal with Lisianthus instead of himself, he was afraid that if such a guy intervened, his seat would become narrower.
“Then, should I go ahead and tell the demons to stay in the safe house? It will be frustrating, but if the master tells them to do so, I’m sure everyone will accept it.”
“N-No. I don’t want to…”
Adelaide’s pupils quivered back and forth. It was difficult to leave Lupinus cold-heartedly even though she didn’t plan to abandon him, but it was also hard to just leave her demons who had been waiting to return. Lupinus smiled at her silly face as she got lost on what to do. Then he looked up at her and spoke in a gentle voice.
“I’m joking, Adela. I think you’re in a hurry, you should go now.”
“…Will you be okay though?”
“Aren’t we going to see each other often in the future anyway?”
“Wouldn’t we?” He added, smiling at her.
“Of course!”
Adelaide smiled awkwardly and bobbed her head up and down.
In order to rebuild the dungeon damaged by Lupinus’ invasion, they would live a busy life for a while. It wouldn’t be easy to spend leisurely time with him like before, but she would be able to make time for him while she was out on business in Mediar. It wasn’t the time to be lazy, but for Lupinus, she could sacrifice that much.
Soon after, Lupinus got up from his seat and saw Adelaide off. Lisianthus and Caladium stood by her side with dissatisfied expressions as if the discomfort had not gone away.
“Then see you soon, Adela.”
Lupinus said this and waved his hand a little toward her. Adelaide also continued to look behind her and waved her hand vigorously until just before she entered the forest.
Without realizing that there was a difference between the ‘soon’ he said and the ‘soon’ she meant.

“Go on then, bring the others back quickly!”
Adelaide exclaimed excitedly as soon as they arrived at the Greenville Dungeon. When she thought that the dungeon would be noisy again with the voices of her demons, she burst into laughter. Resolving the misunderstanding with Lupinus also played a part in her good mood.
On the other hand, the faces of the devils were not very bright. The first reason was that they did not like the existence of Lupinus himself, followed by the real intention that they did not want to summon the other demons right now.
They only mentioned it to get Adelaide away from the warrior but it was going to be hard to set the mood if the other demons were there. They wanted to call the others a little later. Recently, the others have already noticed the strange atmosphere between Adelaide and her two devils and avoided them, but some demons have been hindering them without noticing at all.
The main culprit was Bell. Beyond interrupting the mood they were trying to set, Bell would often crawl into Adelaide’s room and sleep beside her. Adelaide was also particularly soft to Bell. A typical example of this was when she would say he was cute and kiss his forehead or cheeks.
He was still young, so they let it slide, but as time went on, it became bothersome. At his current growth rate, Bell would soon become a young man, but somehow, they felt like he was still going to be like that with Adelaide even then. And Adelaide, who was simple in nature, would accept everything without hesitation.
‘I’ll have to take action sooner or later.’
Caladium swore as he crossed his thick arms. However, he was the devil who took care of Bell the most even though they quarreled, so he wasn’t sure whether he could remain firm with his resolve.
“Yes. I will bring them back.”
After thinking for a while, Lisianthus realized that there was no other way and quietly followed her orders. Caladium thought he should take the chance during the time he was gone, but unfortunately, Adelaide was busy preparing to welcome the demons as soon as Lisianthus left.
“Caladi, let’s do it together!”
“We’re going to prepare food for the kids!” Adelaide called him with an innocent face.
He wished it was something else. Caladium, unable to resist her urging, entered the kitchen.
“Why are you cooking all of a sudden? Just order that j*rk of a manager once he’s back.”
“It must be hard because Lisian does it alone every day. Caladi, will you help me?”
She looked up at Caladium with sparkling eyes.
‘Crap, acting cute again.’ Caladium let out a groan.
How could he say no to such an ‘aegyo’? Caladium lifted his chin, vowing not to give in too easily. It was too late for him to give away his entire fortune.
“Will you kiss me if I help you?”
“Yes, yes. I’ll do it for you next time!”
“No. Do it now.”
Caladium played hard to get proudly. He had been too kind to her for a while, and he was dissatisfied that Adelaide seemed too comfortable with him.
Adelaide stood on her toes thinking there was no helping it. But she was still far from kissing Caladium.
“Bring your head down. I can’t reach you.”
“No, it’s annoying.”
“Then what do you want me to do?”
Caladium suddenly grabbed Adelaide’s waist and lifted her up. Then he sat her down on the countertop.
“You can do it like this.”
He placed his hands next to Adelaide’s legs then the corners of his lips went up. The way he brought his face closer and smiled was so sly.
‘Lisian, and Caladi. Why do they keep using furniture for other purposes?’ Adelaide thought, closing her eyes.
Lisianthus sat her down on a desk and kissed her, and Caladium seemed to have chosen the countertop. Maybe they had the same thoughts because they were devils.
Adelaide reached out her hands and cupped his face. Then she brought his face closer and kissed his cheek with a sound.
“There, satisfied?”
She asked in an impatient voice. However, Caladium raised one eyebrow with a dissatisfied expression on his face.
“Not at all.”
“Argh, then you do it!”
“I need to quickly prepare food.” She grunted.
Caladium then stretched out his hand as if he had been waiting for those words.
