Chapter 108

Tub? Adelaide tilted her head for a moment.

Come to think of it, Lupin used to enjoy bathing quite a bit since childhood. Being in warm water was supposedly cozy or something. It was all thanks to Adelaide that he tasted what it was like to take a bath for the first time. She had forgotten about it until he came to Greenville.

As she was about to say yes, she saw Lisianthus wrinkling his face in the corner of her field of vision. Adelaide, who saw it, bit her lip.

Why does Lisianthus look upset? She closed her eyes.

Soon, a plausible reason came to mind.

‘Oh, he thinks the bathtub he made is being insulted!’

It was an assumption that was far from the correct answer, but Adelaide considered her reasoning to be very logical. He must be in a bad mood, just like when she felt depressed when the risotto she had made was ignored. Lisianthus was probably thinking that his work was being insulted by a human.

Adelaide was heartbroken as she looked alternately between her first friend and her first manager. The responsibility to properly mediate the conflict between the two was on her. With grand dreams of developing their relationship, she opened her mouth.

“Umm, our Lupinus wants a bigger bathtub. The current one we have is already very pretty and wonderful, but the size is a little, it’s because it’s a little bit too small isn’t it?”

“…Well, you can say that. But why are you talking like that?”

Lupinus asked, contorting his eyebrows. Adelaide continued to speak in an overly friendly voice as she neatly ignored his question.

“But it’s a waste to throw away the bathtub we already have… Oh, how about building a new public bath? So that we can have fun together!”

“I don’t have hobbies that require many people, so…”

“What are you talking about! Wouldn’t it be more fun if we all did it together?”

Adelaide cut him off adamantly. Before she knew it, her face was filled with anticipation to play with water. Her clear purpose was to mediate between Lupinus and Lisianthus, but the more she talked, the more excited she became.

“What kind of dungeon has a public bath…? Why don’t you go ahead and build a water park where humans go if you’re going to that extent?”

Caladium clicked his tongue and said sarcastically.

He had once tried to enjoy bathing with Adelaide, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t stand soaking himself in water. He just didn’t like taking a bath, let alone getting a big bath. However, the reaction that returned was quite different from what he expected.

“A water park…! I love it!” Adelaide smiled broadly as she looked at him with dreamy eyes.

A water park. It was something she had only ever heard of. Penelope said that there was a place in the human world where you can enjoy playing in the water that had a lot of large water rides.

But how well do humans play compared to them? If she were to build something called a water park, she would make it more exhilarating and thrilling, she thought proudly. If she invested a few magic stones and used the powers of Lisianthus and Caladium, they would definitely achieve great results.

“Adele. Think of your debt.”

Lisianthus broke the wings of her imagination that were flying endlessly into the sky. She still owed over 600 Almas. She wasn’t in a position to invest money in a water park or anything of the sort.

Faced with the cold reality, Adelaide bowed her head sullenly.

Upon seeing her sad face, Lisianthus frowned in pain. It was the most difficult thing to see.

Hyu. Sighing, Lisianthus reluctantly offered her carrots.

[T/N: Like the metaphor carrot and a stick.]

“…I think I can make a large communal bath. It will cost a bit more for materials, but it will be worth it.”

“R-Really? Thanks, Lisian!”

“Lisian is really one of a kind!” Adelaide smiled brightly and poured her praises on him. Then she turned her head and smiled very proudly at Lupinus. Like saying ‘I did it for you!’.

Lupinus responded with an awkward smile. He didn’t want a large communal bath. Well, the wider it was, the more they could enjoy it. An insidious thought crossed his mind while he maintained a pure face.

“Ehem! Now it’s your turn. Tell me now! If you don’t, I’ll give it to you in cash.”

In other words, it was their performance-based pay. She always thought that she should give them one, so it was fortunate that she finally had a good opportunity. Since she received more than 100 Almas, she could buy some trap rooms, and there would be some money left even after paying off some of the interest and debt. In addition, the future profits that bricaber would bring were very promising, so she didn’t need to hesitate.

‘Like Lisian said, it’s impossible to make a water park for now.’

She smiled bitterly and promised for the future.

“Meat! I want to eat more meat!”

Bell stood up and shouted. It seemed that the meat he ate daily was not enough. Adelaide nodded her head and promised to give him double the amount of meat.

“I…I have a medical device that I would like to have, can you buy it for me? And I want to bring in some test subjects.”

Pia smiled shyly with a lovely face. Test subjects. They were words that didn’t quite fit her. Alarmed, Adelaide swallowed silently.

‘Hey, our Pia can’t be like that. She’s probably talking about something like an experimental slime.’ She thought so and opened her mouth.

“Sure, I’ll buy it for you! If you need anything for work, tell me anytime, even if it isn’t now. I will support you.”

“I will check from time to time. Pia. We’ll get our hands on the test subject soon.”

“Thank you, Lisianthus. Fresh, please.”

A chilling feeling crept on Adelaide as she listened to the back and forth between Lisianthus and Pia, but she tried to ignore it.

“I want a coffin!”

“Actually, it’s our dream to sleep in a coffin.”

The Skeletons laughed cutely and continued to make eerie sounds. Adelaide, who had surrendered midway, promised that she would buy them the best and most expensive coffins. Next, the Durahans said they would like one more artificial sun added, and Raham requested some things for Pia.

And finally, it was the devils’ turns.

“Adela, I wish the bed in your room was a little softer and bigger.”

“I hope that it would have a separate massage room.”

‘A massage room and the bed in my room?’ Adelaide narrowed her eyes and glared at her devils. It wasn’t difficult to figure out their purpose. It was too blatant in the first place. It would be a reminder of what was promised last time.

She thought it was absurd when they told her what they wanted, still, there was a tingling feeling in her heart. She didn’t know why she kept feeling weird.

Adelaide dismissed the unfamiliar feeling that warmed her body, thinking that it was a symptom of her needing to consume again. Even though she knew full well that they were emotions she felt even when she was full.

“Okay, I’ll buy them all!”

Adelaide grinned and picked up her dungeon pad. She was hesitant to spend recklessly even though she suddenly got a lot of money, but then again money was something that she could just earn again.

Besides, Lisianthus, the manager, did not stop her and didn’t say that she was wasting money.

That’s right, Greenville Dungeon is now a C-Class. Until now, people lived in the living spaces like playing house, but now, that time has passed.

In the future, the number of her demons, as well as the invading warriors, will increase dramatically. In order not to be looked down on, it was time to properly decorate the dungeon.

Thus, the large-scale renovation of Greenville Dungeon began.

* * *

The construction took a total of a week.

From the point of view of a dungeon master who had to quickly profit off of warriors, it was a long time. However, considering the scale, it actually ended very quickly. A big part of it was thanks to Lisianthus’ excellent production ability.

When all the magic stones for expansion were used, the number of rooms increased to 70. There were several massive rooms like the living room, and many small rooms that could fill up to about 20 warriors. There were also a few more internal portals. Although not as huge as the Sol Dungeon, Greenville has now become a fairly large and complex dungeon.

The living space was also divided into three parts. Adelaide, the devils, Lupinus, and Bell lived in the first living space, and Pia, Raham, and the other Durahans moved to the 2nd living space to where the Skeletons stayed.

When Adelaide asked them why they were moving, the Durahans just smiled awkwardly and replied, ‘We have some sense of propriety, too.’

In the first living space, a large bath, a massage room, and a medical room were installed at the request of the demons. Even large communal baths were installed indoors and outdoors. The outdoor bath boasted a serene atmosphere surrounded by large rocks and tall trees. A stone path next to the bath leads to a white door, which accesses the side door to Lisianthus’ garden.

Lisianthus’ garden had also changed in size compared to the past. The green garden with beautiful colorful flowers and trees seemed more like a small park than a garden. A park with an artificial sun and fake skies was the perfect place to go for a picnic. Bell, in the shape of a puppy, also liked this place, so he ran around the park every day.

The third living space was still vacant, but they kept it neatly organized because she thought that new subordinates would be added soon.

And in the long-desired battle space, two trap rooms with different types of traps were installed. 40 Almas were splurged on this large expenditure, but in the future, they would be able to kill the warriors without her demons directly stepping in, so she was very satisfied.

The most painstaking room was in the center of the battlefield, where the bricaber, ten times the size of Adelaide, bloomed. A blue lake glistened around the bricaber in the middle. The part where the lake did not flow was covered with grass, and white bricaber leaves were scattered about.

The demons could not help but marvel at the beautiful appearance that was like a scene straight out of a fairy tale.

And in the so-called ‘last room’ where all the battle spaces lead to, Adelaide bought what she had always wanted.

A shining golden chair. She finally had what she had been coveting ever since the Boraca Dungeon.

“Ehem.”

Adelaide strode across the black marble floor. The demons standing around the carpet in a line stared at her from afar. Her cloak, decorated with gold, fluttered over her black dress and revealed her alluring body. With a graceful gesture, she climbed up the steps and sat down on the golden chair. She smiled and said.

“The new and improved Greenville Dungeon is now open.”
