Chapter 61

‘A horn.’

Mierda thought with a pale face.

The other demons in the Sol Dungeon seemed to have realized this too and gasped. Someone couldn’t stand it and opened his mouth.

“De…vil?”

“What, is this your first time seeing a devil?”

“Country bumpkins.” Caladium chuckled and added. Even though he knew that the number of devils in the Demon Realm could only be counted in two hands.

Because of his answer, Sol Dungeon’s morale plummeted.

No matter how successful they were, they could not defeat devils even if they were high level demons. There was even a Cerberus, a rare monster, standing beside the devil with confidence. The monster that they thought was just a small puppy has now transformed into a Cerberus. Whether they fought or not, it was obvious who would win and who would lose.

‘Damn it…!’

Mierda clenched his molars and cursed inwardly.

He should have realized it when the demons of Greenville conquered Sol Dungeon so easily. No, he should have doubted it right away when he realized how unusual it was that they were promoted to E-Class with just that many demons.

On the day he met them in their shabby living space, he was a fool for thinking that this devil, who used a hat to cover his horn, was only a high class demon.

However, there was no way Mierda would’ve found out because Caladium deliberately suppressed his powers to hide his identity. Still, he blamed himself for not being thorough. He was the one who accepted this dungeon match. If it all ended like this, he would no longer have the dignity to face Master Shavarma.

“Bones, are you done with your work?”

Caladium glanced at the Skeletons. They sneaked behind Sol Dungeon’s demons while they were distracted.

They weren’t going to launch a surprise attack and had a different purpose. They wanted to subdue the gargoyle and take its video stone.

As long as it was filming the demons from Sol Dungeon, the true identity of Caladium is bound to be revealed. The fact that an E-Class dungeon had beaten a C-Class in a dungeon match was already incomprehensible.

Lisianthus suggested that Greenville’s prowess be demonstrated and let rumors spread. But Caladium refused, saying he hated showing his face. His answer was very unexpected as he was usually conceited.

What was even more surprising was that Lisianthus did not force it, but rather quickly agreed. He added saying that he also hated having his face known. This was the reason why Adelaide strongly opposed the filming of their attack.

“Yes, devil!”

“I’m done!”

The Skeletons who successfully completed the mission shouted with a clear voice. Suddenly, the gargoyle was hit by a Skeleton’s bone and rolled on the floor, stunned. The video stone was half-broken and faced the wall.

“Don’t be polite.”

Caladium said. Adela grumbled something about discipline.

“Just say my name. Don’t call me ‘devil’, you look like you’re hurting your mouth.”

“Okay, Caladium!”

“You’re kind.”

The Skeletons smiled broadly and praised him. Caladium’s face became red.

“What the hell are you talking about!” He got angry all of a sudden. Bell licked his face once he was also praising him. It was a heartwarming scene.

At that moment, a flash of light burst from Mierda’s hand. With that as the starting point, all the elite demons of Sol Dungeon rushed to Caladium together.

“Caladium!”

The Skeletons screamed in surprise.

The demons surrounded Caladium and released their powers. The Skeletons couldn’t stop them and could only stomp their feet, with the Durahans busy stopping Bell from running to Caladium.

Although they were overwhelmed for a bit because they suddenly faced a devil, they were still high level demons. Those demons also had A-Class powers. They would only get themselves killed if they went into that mess to help.

Caladium told them to believe in him. However, as power flashed splendidly and loud noises were heard, their hearts grew more anxious.

“What if he’s in trouble?” One Skeleton murmured with an anxious voice.

“Did you think we were going to die quietly?”

Mierda said, raising one side of his mouth.

‘If you thought that the difference in level would make us give up right away, you were terribly wrong. He chatted leisurely just because he was a devil. He wasn’t going to stay still after seeing such arrogance.’

“Don’t stop, keep going!”

At Mierda’s orders, the demons generously unleashed their powers. It was their first time fighting a devil, but they thought they could win. This was also because it was the first time that the four strongest demons in Sol Dungeon gathered like this and put all their efforts together.

‘Why is the devil talking informally to a Skeleton? He also had a single horn. Could he be weaker than they thought?’

One demon made a logical argument. The absence of his other horn meant that he had been attacked by someone before. That redhead might be the weakest amongst all devils.

Mierda also had similar hopes. The power felt from Caladium was great, but it wasn’t to the extent that he couldn’t dare cross it. His heart gradually pounded in anticipation of defeating a devil.

However, this hope was shattered within a few minutes. Caladium appeared through the dust.

“Are you done?”

Shk Shk, Caladium brushed off the dust on his lapels. He was in good shape with no injuries in sight.

“Then it’s my turn now, right?”

Mierda’s face grew paler.

Then he felt it. Caladium’s energy doubled in an instant. As if his power before was just a joke.

“How dare you ridicule me like this?”

“Who do you think I am!” Mierda said, his body trembling. It was hard to tell if it was caused by anger or fear.

Caladium smirked.

“Ridicule? Just this much?”

Contempt was evident in his silver-gray eyes. The voice that followed was low and ferocious.

“The sh*t you guys do in the tent is what’s ridiculous.”

[T/N: The circus.]

“Don’t you have any shame, you f*cker?” Caladium muttered harshly, then snapped his finger.

Quang!

A huge energy threw Sol’s demons against the wall in an instant. The pressure was so great that blood poured out of the demon’s mouths. It looked like they were seriously injured.

“Woof!”

Bell, who was waiting for his turn, ran and ate the upper body of one of the demons. The Skeletons and Durahans also said, “Now!” and wielded their weapons.

Crack! Slask!

The sound of the heads of the demons being crushed continued.

Caladium left the rest of the fight to his comrades and approached Mierda. Mierda tried to fight back by squeezing out his energy, but it was all in vain. If they tried to resist, they would only end up losing powerful demons.

‘I’m sorry, Master Shavarma.’

He closed his eyes in sorrow. Then he opened his mouth to declare their loss.

” We giv-…”

“No.”

Eub. Caladium blocked his mouth with his hand. He spoke with his eyebrows gently raised.

“Oh hell no. I’ve been waiting for this moment for so long.”

It was an incredibly beautiful smile. To the point where if someone had told him he came from heaven, he would’ve believed it.

“I’ve been so annoyed since last time. How dare you say something like that to Adela?”

The angelic-looking demon pried Mierda’s lips open and elegantly thrusted his outstretched fingers. He grabbed his soft tongue.

“For insulting her, you have to pay the price with your tongue.”

Mierda’s eyes filled with fear.

His tongue was pulled out at once.

A different silence flowed in Bilbao square.

When the Greenville Dungeon Skeletons attacked the videographer, the crowd became noisy, but just before the video stone broke, the voices heard through the screen made them speechless.

[De…vil?]

[“What, is this your first time seeing a devil?]

What did they mean?

A devil? There’s a devil in Greenville?

The demons communicated with their eyes.

It was nonsense. A devil in an E-Class dungeon. Even if there was a devil in the C-class Sol Dungeon, they wouldn’t have believed it.

However, Shavarma, who jumped up from his seat and stared at the screen in dismay, and Adelaide, who, on the other hand, was relaxed, were enough evidence. Proof that the conversation was no lie.

All the spectators were speechless. A few quick-footed people cautiously attempted to escape.

What have they done so far? They booed the dungeon where the devil belonged to and threw food at them. They also insulted the Greenville Dungeon Master with indecent remarks because she was exceptionally good looking. This meant that they would soon be dead.

“It’s not true, right? In an E-class dungeon, really… there is a-.”

A tactless demon whispered. But he also couldn’t get the word devil out of his mouth.

“It can’t be, no.” The demons who had committed sins muttered earnestly. But the demons who remained quiet the whole time looked at the portal with interest.

The results will prove the correct answer. So everyone quietly waited for the demons to come out.

Before long, the portal of Greenville Dungeon flashed brightly.

[They’re coming out!]

Go Il, who had forgotten his duty and joined the silence, urgently exclaimed.

[Greenville’s portal is operating!]

Go Il’s comments were not very informative. Everyone was already staring at the portal for a while now. However, it was still enough to raise the audience’s expectations.

After the suffocating tension, demons finally appeared from the portal.

A tall demon wearing a hat, a large Cerberus, Skeletons with proud faces, and even Durahans with terrifying appearances. All the demons of Greenville had come out alive.

“I only brought one back alive.”

Caladium grabbed its hair and threw the demon he was dragging to the floor. Mierda, whose tongue was pulled out, fainted, his entire face stained with blood.

Mierda came out in that condition…! That means…

The audience took a deep breath.

Adelaide, who had been sitting quietly and drinking a drink that came out of nowhere, stood up.

“What are you doing? We haven’t announced the results.”

Go Il, who was out of his wits, stared at Adelaide with a blank expression on his face.

She looked somehow different from before. It was only now that he realized what kind of existence she was.

A devil appeared in a dungeon match. And the dungeon master who owned the said devil.

No matter how strong she was, this was the body of someone who will become the ruler of Kronatan in the future.

Gulp. Go Il swallowed his saliva, tightened his stomach, then opened his mouth.

[Sol Dungeon failed to capture Greenville Dungeon!]

Now, it would not just be the Sol Dungeon that they had to pay attention to.

[Greenville Dungeon won!]

“Waaa!!”

Shouts poured from all over the place. The screams were so loud that they were deafening. They thought that they could avoid the devil’s wrath if they did that. Adelaide clicked her tongue.

“Now, isn’t it time to take our reward?”
