Episode 25 Launching the War

The emperor of the Remlia Empire, Erkür I, entered into marriage with the supreme leader of the Mesican religion.

Since that information was transferred to the Fars Kingdom.....

Approximately five years have passed.

Hmm, Cindy's rule is going well.

About five years ago.

Sasan VIII nodded satisfactorily after reading the documents concerning the control of the land that had been conquered.

Cindira is originally a rich land.

Cereals such as wheat and rice, of course, calculate products such as ivory, rubies and spices.

As a result of this suppression, the wealth of the Kingdom of Fars was growing, as the prospect of Sasan VIII suggests.

However.....

Everything in the world doesn't always go well.

"Your Majesty, I have a report on the situation on the Habila Peninsula."

It was an elderly long-eared (elf) man who came into the office.

Behnam, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Fars.

Later, Sasan VIII, one of the eight faithful generals.

A man with the nickname "Staff."

"Hmm... first of all, I want you to tell me if the report is good or bad."

When Sasan VIII said so, Behnam showed him two fingers.

"Good reports and bad reports. There are two. Your Majesty."

"I see... let's start with a good report."

And Behnam nodded unto the word of Sasan VIII, and spread out the parchment.

Then read the report....

Then summarize briefly.

"After all, the tribe that we have supported for many years in the Habila peninsula won over the tribe that Lemria supported. This established our hegemony over the Habila Peninsula."

That's a great report.

Face to face, there is no dispute between the Lemurian Empire and the Farse Kingdom.

Because even if they fight, they can't be said to have much benefit.

Of course, there is a territorial appetite for both Lemlia and Farse... but it is clear that if they collide, unusual damage will occur on both sides.

The damage caused by war is obviously greater than the profits from war.

But when it comes to whether there is any shadow in the relationship between the two, that is not the case.

That is not a territorial issue.

Remlia, the biggest barrier to the true friendship of Farth....

It is trade friction.

Much of the trade flowing to the Lemurian Empire passes through the territory of the Kingdom of Fars.

So if the Lemurian Empire asks the Farse kingdom for trading goods, that's how much of the Lemurian Empire's wealth flows out into the Farse kingdom.

Especially the gold spill is a serious problem for the Lemurian Empire.

Emperor Lemria has initiated and encouraged various industries to overcome the situation.....

However, it has not led to a fundamental solution to the trade deficit problem.

Ultimately, there's nothing we can do about it unless we solve the problem of the Lemurian Empire's absolute need to cross the Fars kingdom when dealing with countries in the East, such as the Cindyla subcontinent (a region separate from Cindyla) and the Silk Country.

So Emperor Lemria's eyes were on the Habila Peninsula.

The Habila Peninsula is a vast desert peninsula between the Lemurian Empire and the Kingdom of Fars.

This has long served as a detour to trading, with high risks but also high returns.

Successive emperors of Lemria have attached some importance to the Habila Peninsula, so the idea of paying attention here is not an “invention” of the present emperor of Lemria.

The size of the present emperor Lemria differs from his predecessors and past emperors.

Missionary missionary.

Morning booklet seal.

An alliance with a pirate or bandit tribe at the end of the line.

We began to use every means at our disposal to secure this detour.

The trouble with this is the Kingdom of Fars.

Compared to the Kingdom of Fars, there is no room for its finances.

Maintaining the trade route is costly.

The further the detour develops, the farther the Farse kingdom's trading route will decline.

If the trade deficit with the Lemurian Empire is eliminated (...), the decline of the Farse kingdom will be inevitable.

So Sasan VIII also set out to establish hegemony over the Habila Peninsula.

This victory report meant the end of the proxy war.

"So what's a bad report?

"Emperor Lemria has sent 50,000 troops to the Habila Peninsula.... each tribe is requesting reinforcements."

"You're numb, young man."

Sasan VIII frowned.

Emperor Lemria, several decades younger than himself, finally embarked on a full-scale military intervention.

"Absolutely... young is a problem, good or bad."

Hegemonic struggle on the Habila Peninsula.

This is the view of the Fars kingdom, and it was Emperor Remlia who threw stones and ripples into the peace to date.

But from Emperor Lemria's point of view, the story changes.

Perhaps Emperor Lemria thinks that the Fars kingdom betrayed him first.

During the war with the Fullering kingdom, the sword pointing behind it aroused mistrust and confrontation with Sasan VIII and the Fars kingdom.

I can't rest assured that the Farse kingdom is holding my veins.

I thought so, but it is believed that I embarked on securing the Habila Peninsula.

And this military intervention... can never be said to be incorrect.

The fact that the Habila Peninsula, a detour route, can be contained in the Farse kingdom is likely to be a major crisis in the future, albeit not immediately from the Lemurian Empire.

In addition, if the messianists in the Habila Peninsula request rescue, there may be circumstances where they have to move beyond recognizing themselves as the protectors of the messianism...

(I have been unable to carry out challenging military operations like Emperor Lemria since I exceeded fifty.... has this become wise or has it faded?)

Sasan VIII envied the power and youth of Emperor Lemria a little.

He is now perhaps governed by a sense of omnipotence.

I used to be, and there was a time like that.

"What will you do? Your Majesty."

"We can't let Emperor Lemria like this."

If you hesitate to intervene by force for fear of an all-out war against the Lemurian Empire.....

Perhaps the hegemony of the Habila Peninsula will belong to Lemria.

"Let's take a look at Emperor Lemria's youth here."

That's how Sasan VIII stood up.

For decades now, I have fought a weak nation that has never lost a single battle.

And he avoided fighting countries that might lose, like Remlia and the Black Clash.

In contrast, what about Emperor Lemria?

The Chelda Kingdom, the Burgallon Kingdom, the Fullering Kingdom, even if they are weaker than their own... they are still fighting against enemies who might lose.

And this time, too.

He sold a fight to the Fars kingdom.

"I don't like being licked. Let's crush and break that young man's nose."

"Does that mean...?

"Let the war begin!!

Sasan VIII raised his voice.

And I command Behnam.

"Summon the Eight Faithful Generals and the Three Glorious Generals! It's been a long time!!

And I declare.

"From now on, plan an attack against Remlia. The sun rises above dawn (Urslagna)!!

For more than twenty years, the peace of Remlia Farth was broken.
