Chapter 27 - 027 - Fighting against Alduin, the World Eater

"You guys stay here, I'll handle Alduin," I told Tommy and his Stormcloak Companions.

Without letting any of them say anything I opened the tower door and stepped outside.

Before me was absolute chaos, Soldiers shouting, screaming, men and women that were badly injured, crushed, and even burned to a crisp...

Those that were still alive were either fleeing for their lives or fighting to the death...

I flew up to the sky and summoned a large fireball that was bigger than a person before teleporting and smacking Alduin straight in the head with it!

BOOOOM!

...

Once Zephyr flew from the tower I found that everyone was looking at me.

"What in the Talos's name did you summon?!" Ulfric asked with shock.

"My Benefactor..." I responded before we all heard a large explosion along with a roar.

We all rushed to look and we saw that Zephyr just caused an explosion that sent the dragon plummeting from the sky!

BAM!

The dragon smashed to the ground before getting back up and roaring towards Zephyr in furry!

...

Upon seeing that Alduin wasn't harmed in the slightest from the Explosion I couldn't help but sigh and think, 'Do I seriously have to waste some of my divine energy on him?'

"Undead, why do you challenge me, what are you?" Alduin asked in Dragon Tounge while examining me.

"You attempted to kill my Subordinate," I simply told him.

"You dare fight against me, Alduin, because of a mere human?" Alduin asked.

Without responding I summoned a small arrow of pure golden light and launched it towards Alduin.

And without being able to dodge the arrow pierced directly into Alduin's wing causing him to roar out in pain.

Well, it appears that did a bit of damage.

It cost me merely a single point of Divine Energy to create that arrow, but although it did some damage, I doubt I would have enough Divine Energy to even near killing Alduin...

Wait, I just had a thought...

If Tommy awoke on the carriage, does that mean he is the Future Dragonborn? The very Dragonborn that is destined to defeat Alduin and save this world?

Hmm...

Without a single word I used some Divine Energy to make myself invisible and sent a mental message to Tommy.

'I don't have enough strength to defeat Alduin, it's up to you to escape, I will save you if he tries to attack you.'

...

Upon getting Zephyr's message I couldn't help but frown.

"Where did he go?" Ulfric asked after Zephyr's sudden disappearance.

"He had to leave...we're on our own..." I informed them.

"On our own?! Against that, monster?!" Shouted Ralof.

"That's right, we have to get to the gates, it's the only way we can get out of here alive," Ulfric answered.

After a minute of planning, we readied ourselves.

"Everyone ready?" Ulfric asked.

"As ready as we ever will be," I replied.

"Okay, once we get out there, stay as a group. If you see a weapon grab it if you can, we will fight our way to the gate and escape through the mountain passage. Okay, everyone ready! 1...2...3!" BAM!

With the door opened we all rushed out the tower and ran for the gate!

Luckily the Imperial Soldiers were too busy fighting the dragon giving us a clear passage to the wide-open gate!

BAM!

Suddenly the dragon landed behind us!

"KEEP RUNNING!" Shouted Ulfric.

"YOL...TOOR...SHUL!"

Suddenly a large wave of flames was launched towards us from the menacing dragon!

We all mentally thanked Zephyr and soon made it out from the fort, but before we could make it to the mountain passage I got another mental message from Zephyr.

'You cannot go with them, you have a different path than them. Do not worry, you will see them again.'

Upon getting that message I sighed before stopping.

Ulfric soon noticed this and asked "Why are you stopping? They might be chasing us!"

"I am sorry, but I cannot go with you," I answered.

"I see...Then I wish you luck, may Talos guide you," Ulfric told me.

I gave a nod and soon departed from them.
