Chapter 32 - 032 - Teaching a Class of Mages some basic Science

A few days after staying in the College of Winterhold I have finished learning everything the College had to offer about Restoration Magic, It appears that due to my new...existence, I have a much higher IQ or something since I am able to learn almost everything with ease and remember everything like I have Photographic Memory.

You may wonder why I chose to first learn Restoration Magic and the answer is simple, luck.

I just chose randomly between all of the schools of magic and Restoration Magic happened to be the magic that was chosen.

And I would say that I am about the rank of Expert when it comes to Restoration Magic, I could be higher but I find that the information provided on the School of Restoration Magic to be quite small.

If I wanted to reach the rank of Master I would have to create my own Master Ranked spells or buy the knowledge from the Restoration teacher of the college, which I do not have the money for.

Don't get me wrong, I could just wave my hand and create my own gold coins but I don't want to risk my position in the college, who knows if they have the capabilities to see if I am the one that created the gold coins.

Also, I must say, the Restoration School of Magic is quite Underrated and Misunderstood.

I mean seriously, those strong enough with Restoration Magic can literally create life! Life!

Restoration Mages not only have the potential to create but also destroy!

They could create deadly plagues that could wipe the men and women of the face of Tamriel and summon literal fire as hot as the sun!

So what if those in the school of destruction can become living natural disasters or those practicing Conjuration Magic created armies of undead, what good will that do you when a literal sun is thrown at you? Especially if you're an undead creature! You would be turned to ash within a second!

Who knows, Restoration Magic may even have the power of True Resurrection and maybe even the power to grant Immortality!

Speaking of which I am definitely going to make my own Restoration spells later!

Well enough about me complaining about the stupidity of the mages of this world, Archmage Savos asked if I would be willing to teach a class of students.

[A/N: Remember the world is much bigger, which means bigger college, which also means more and new students! Still the same amount of teachers though, and the College still looks old and damaged AF]

I stood in the Hall of Elements where Students trained and hones their Magic and waited for my students to arrive.

I must say, it feels weird that I have suddenly become a Teacher but I will say it seems quite fun, especially since I don't have to fill out any kind of Paperwork.

Upon seeing a group of students enters the hall I instantly entered Invisibility.

I did this because I first wanted to observe my students, if they aren't serious then I will need to be strict, but if they really wanted to learn then I will teach them, so I wonder which are they, lazy or diligent?

Soon 5 Students that wore the Mage Robes approached.

So, there were three females and two males with the males being the elves in this group of students.

The students walked over to our meeting area and the female Breton asked "We aren't late are we?"

"Impossible, we are at least 10 minutes early!" The Male High Elf replied.

"So the teacher is late? Who is our teacher?" The Breton asked.

"I don't know, Master Tolfdir said that he is a new teacher and that he is a Master in many fields of study." The Dark Elf replied.

Soon a minute passed and I found that none of them were lazy, as they waited for my 'Arrival', so I decided to finally reveal myself.

I waved my hand as I appeared before the group.

They froze and stopped all their conversations upon my appearance.

"Uh...sir? Were you invisible the whole time? Or was that some kind of magic?" The Male High Elf asked with respect.

"I was standing here the whole time," I responded.

They just looked at me in confusion but I just ignored him.

"Okay, let's begin the lesson."

"Uh, sir? Not to be rude or anything but first can you tell us your name? And what you will be teaching us?" The small female Breton asked politely.

"Ah yes. You may call me Teacher Ze and today I will be teaching you the basics of Biology." I informed them.

"Biology? What is that?" The High Elf asked.

"Ah I see, I forgot how far behind everyone in this world is when it comes to Science," I couldn't help but respond.

"Sci-ence?" one of the students asked confused.

"Science is the study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observations and experiments," I told them after a few moments of thought.

"I don't understand." Some of the students replied with confusion.

"I know, that's why I will try to do some of the basics, for example, Biology."

"Teacher Ze, what is this Biology you speak of? The female Nord asked.

"Biology is the study of Life, for example, do you know why the races get sick? Or how to improve things like Crop production or how to improve the health of an individual?" I asked.

"To improve the health of some shouldn't we use Restoration Magic?" The High Elf asked confused.

"That is one way, but through the use of Science, everyone including those that cannot use magic will be able to research and learn new ways of improving our physical health. For example, the Nordic citizens of Skyrim all live to be around 60 years of age, through the use of Biology we can learn how to increase their lifespans to 70-80 and even 100 years of age!" I began lecturing.

Over the course of the next 4 hours, I explained the basics of Biology including Cellular Life, DNA, RNA, Dominant Traits and I went as far as explaining the nature of Ecosystems and the race's influence on them.

To my surprise, they soaked the information up like sponges.

At first, they didn't believe me, so I had them do a simple Lab with a microscope and some normal human hair.

Of course, since they could see it with their eyes they began questioning how Microscopes worked, and then it went on and on until I spent more than 8 hours teaching the students.

"Now, now, class, quiet down. I will be ending the class for today." I informed them which caused them all to groan.

"Don't worry, I will continue teaching tomorrow as well, so if you wish to invite some of your friends over feel free," I told them before walking away.

It might have been a long day but it was well worth it, why? Well, why don't you look at this!

[You have taught x5 beings about basic science!]

[You have gained 0.05 Divine Energy!]

That's right! I earn divine energy just from teaching!

Although it's not a lot of Divine Energy it will start accumulating over time and eventually, I can earn lots of divine energy just from teaching here!
