Chapter 41 - 041 - Return to Skyrim and Labyrinthian

The next day everyone returned to their daily activities.

Mortimer returned to the college and continued to learn the way of Magic.

Tommy returned to adventuring and fulfilling his destiny as the Dragonborn.

Cthulhu went back to playing games.

And Atlas stayed on Earth to learn more about everything including its culture, history, countries and etc.

I had Cthulhu keep an eye on him while I returned to Skyrim.

What was I doing in Skryim?

Rebuilding.

Rebuilding what you may ask?

Well, Labyrinthian of course!

I wanted to set up a base in Skyrim where I and my companions can reside while on Tamriel.

I also wanted to give Tommy a safe spot to rest once in a while.

In the end, I want to do many things in Tamriel, and having a safe place to work from would be very helpful.

And since Labyrinthian used to be the Capital of Skyrim long ago I felt that it would be quite suitable as a new base.

Who knows? I might even turn this into a town or even remake it to be the capital of Skyrim once again!

I also moved my Beacon into the Dragon Preist Mask Room(which I repaired) at the center of the Old Nordic City.

I removed the frost trolls and also put up a barrier that would keep those within the ruins warm from the bitter cold of the north.

...

As I stood within the Dragon Priest Shrine that lie at the center of Labyrinthian I looked at the skeleton with a Wooden Mask in his hand and a note next to his body.

But until I know I am strong enough I am not even going to attempt to use the mask because who knows what I will find upon using the mask, perhaps I will find myself in the middle of a populated city ruled by Dragon Priests who in turn are ruled by dragons!

After I stored the Mask away into my Dimension I then started clearing out the entire ruin of all threats, including the Dragon Priest Morokei who Archmage Savos imprisoned in the ruins by bounding two fellow apprentices into ethereal thralls to keep up a magical barrier around the Dragon Priest.

The Draugr inside the ruins were easily defeated.

But what really caused me some trouble was the Skeletal Dragon and Morokei.

The Skeltal Dragon was easy enough to defeat besides its breath attacks but Morokei was just a straight up nuciance since he drained the Magicka from my body every time he spoke.

Suddenly I felt another wave of energy along with his voice speak out to me.

"You do not answer...Must I use this guttaral language of yours?" Morokie asked.

"Yes, because I don't speak the Dragon Language you dolt," I spoke out loud enough for him to hear me.

"Have you returned, Aren? My Old Freind?" The voice asked.

"I am clearly not Aren, so why are you even asking?" I retorted.

"So then why have you come here? To free me...? Or perhaps maybe to kill me...?" Morokei asked.

"We will see, if you become bothersome then no doubt I will destroy you and continue cleansing this ruin of the undead," I responded as I continued to walk.

As the voice went silent I could hear the sounds of footsteps approaching.

"FUS, RO DA!" Shouted a Draugr Deathlord.

Frowining in displeasure I retorted "FUS, RO DA!"

Our shouts collided into each other and canceled each other out after pushing us both back a little bit.

Annoyed that I had no Magicka to cast a spell I used a small bit of Divine Energy to conjure a small blade which I sent flying towards the Draugr's head, instantly killing it.

After dissolving the blade back into Divine Energy and reabsorbing it I continued through the ruin.

With Morokei silent I ventured through the ruins slaying many Draugr and even finding a Wisp Mother(who I stored away into my inventory to study later).

Storng away a few of these undead I then proceeded to destroy the rest with Sun Flames since I was able to regenerate my magic due to Morokei no longer draining me of my Magicka.

Speaking of Magic I have also began learning my second school of magic since I have already learned as much about Restoration Magic as possible for now, I chose to learn about the Illusion School of Magic next.

The more I learned about the schools of magic the more I found that all of them were underrated.

Take alteration magic for example, Mages of the Alteration School can manipulate the world around them, they can do countless things like change the fundamentals of Physics and biology, they can make someone go incredibly fast, harden a persons skin to inhuman levels, and even burden someone with the weight of the world if they were strong enough.

Alteration is different to Illusion in that it alters the rules of nature, creating a reality that is recognized by everyone, rather than in the mind of the caster and the target.

In other terms Illusion Magic affected the mind and body while Alteration Magic affected the world.

As I fought through the weird ehteral Draugr I soon found myself in a room where two etheral figures where releasing beams of magicka towards a masked floating undead trapped within a barrier.

It appears I have found Morokei.
