Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord

Odette had no clue on how long had it been since she had been suffering due to aches. Nonetheless, all the pains had turned to become dull now, and although she craved for sleep, she was unable to fall asleep in that moment.

Odette's eyes fell on the little hand that gripped on to hers, and subconsciously, a smile formed on her face. Although the smile was quite small, it was more genuine than the ones she usually had upon her face.

Recalling about how he had comforted her throughout the night was enough to make warmth bloom into her ċhėst. She wondered whether the boy was too naive or that he truly cared for her.

The word care sounded pleasant to her, but before she could let that affect her mood, the smile on her face was wiped away.

Fear began to appear in her gaze towards the boy, and instantly, she pulled away her hand from his. The kindness he showed her yesterday was something that managed to frightened and managed to bring back some horrible memories to her— the ones she wanted to desperately forget.

"Adrian, it is already morning. Wake—"

Before she was able to continue the words further, she found herself stopping. The boy stayed up with her the entire night, and since he sacrificed his sleep for her sake, it was only right for him to be sleepy now.

Nonetheless, Odette was not someone who would feel compassionate by this small matter. But surprisingly, when it came to Adrian, she found herself hesitating.

Finding herself to be a mess, a groan escaped from her mouth. Even though she was a mess for the most part, she did not find herself being this contradictory before. If this continued on, her plans for the future will surely be getting disrupted.

Pulling the sheets off of her body, Odette decided to get off from the bed and wash up. After all that, she was too dirty, and even if she was used to blood, she preferred to remain clean.

The entire time she repeated to herself on how she was too cold to get emotionally attached to someone; maybe her being affected by Adrian was temporary— something that is influenced by her obsession towards him.

She erased all of her emotions related to that, and seeing how different he was, coupled with her obsession towards Adrian, most definitely the reason behind why she was reacting that way.

As Odette stirred in the bed, the motion caused her to wake the five year old up. A yawn escaped from Adrian's mouth as he raised his head, and due to his sleeping position, a sharp ache went through his neck.

"Lady Odette, you are awake. How are you feeling now? Are you still in pain?"
