While Xiao Youning was confused, Ye Shen’s eyebrows furrowed.

However, he did not frown because of the sudden attack. It was because he was still pressed down by the little girl. This kind of intimacy carried a strange touch and their breaths had never crossed this boundary before.

That breathing had a slight sweet fragrance, like her soft body. It could make a person weak.

This was the first time Ye Shen was this physically close to someone, and it was with the little girl.  Yet, he did not view this as too big of a problem, because the problem was that his hands were out of control… and he was extremely aware that he was exerting pressure on her waist.

“It’s safe.”

The carriage had not moved very far when it stopped again.

Jian Yin jumped out of the carriage and went to lift the curtain to confirm Ye Shen’s safety.

When Ye Shen heard his voice, he immediately let go of his hands. He pulled Xiao Youning up and made her sit next to him.

The curtain was lifted, and Jian Yin only saw his master with an agitated face and Xiao Youning with a panicked face.

There was an arrow in the carriage, but they were not hurt.
